I have two comments 1 I liked the new nobes I have been using wing nuts especially for the presser foot tention stich, length screw
the second one is the thread stand on the machine I simply put a hollow bicycle axle over the existing threaded thread stand the bicyle
axle has theaded sections top and botom so you can use the nuts that is used to titan the bicycle wheel so you can put a jar lid or a large washer at the botom or a smaller one at the top dependind on your preference. cheers Peter
