I've been a fan Rick since i was watching you on PBS couch surfing like a broke loser, you helped to teach me how to cook for myself along with some others. I consider myself a pretty decent home chef and your salsa verde is my go to and i've spread it across the internet like wild fire. You've raised your daughter right she's obviously also been inspired by you. Much respect from Houston.
Rick Bayless you are the real deal when it comes to Mexican food!!!! I have been watching your videos n I already learned just a bit thnx so much mr Rick Bayless.
La salsa de chile de árbol también se puede hacer con cacahuate frito y molido, se vacía la salsa ya licuada a la sartén donde se fueron los chiles, ajos y cacahuates, para que hierva máximo 3 minutos y listo. Mmmm.... 😋😋😋😍
I absolutely love you, thanks for sharing this. I am addicted to salsas specially to chile de arbol types. And those fish tacos are the best aswell they are a classic!🥰
i made this. best damn thing i've ever eaten! even people in my family that don't like fish loved it. followed to a T except used store bought salsa. thank you mr bayless!
I would pay to watch this guy make toast. I think I would season the fish its self a bit. Maybe with some blackened redfish magic or seasoned salt. that redfish magic stuff is so good. I tried that stuff his daughter made from the dried peppers in the blender and it burnt my face off. I couldnt taste anything but the peppers so I didnt use that . I also use club soda in my fish batter it makes the fish coating more fluffy & crispy and you dont get the beer taste.
Mmm, fish tacos are my favorite. I'm strange, I like mine with grilled fish, no batter coating. Something about the fish, corn tortilla, crunchy cabbage, salsa and crema all together makes for a delicious meal.
your suppose to spread some mayonnaise on the tortilla the mayonnaise is key brings all the flavors together...the first time my aunt told me I was like really..but I tried it and she was so right... 1 tea spoon will do it..
Nice, tasty baja style tacos. I make my “crema” with watered down mayo and blended with some smoked chipotle’s,till it’s nice n smooth. Adds a creamy slightly spicy taste to it.
its sour cream mixed with a little mayo and a 2 teaspoons of ground black pepper ... well thats how my grandpa makes it and he sells fish tacos in tijuana :)

Bayless is timeless. He's been cooking since men made fire.
Wow! You can't beat a good fish taco!!
I made these tacos over the weekend and they were a hit with my guests. Very flavor full recipe. Thanks!
You had me at that crunch at the end.
That looks amazing!! My mouth just watered 😋

Una gran felicitación por su vídeo👍. Saludos a todos desde México 😊
@Valerie Torres it must be crema. Casque makes it. Comes in a jar usually next to the Mexican cheeses. Not the same as sour cream.
Rick you made me famished, I wish I was in Playas de Rosarito Baja. Thank you so much for the recipe, love💜 you keep on cooking🐝🐝🐝
+Tricia Bricesting, me too! I was watching during lunch and I am hungry again!
I love watching your videos!!! I want a back yard like yours!!!😀one day!!
Very cool pressed tin ceiling!
Using a nice quantity of chile de árbol for the salsa, great
Fish tacos originated in San Felipe, on the east coast of Baja.
I would pay to watch Rick Bayless make toast.

I made these last night! Thanks Rick!

Looks awesome!

Your batter recipe is so much better than the Knorr brand "capeador" (batter mix).
that was pretty bold tasting the pureed arbols
your suppose to spread some mayonnaise on the tortilla the mayonnaise is key brings all the flavors together...the first time my aunt told me I was like really..but I tried it and she was so right... 1 tea spoon will do it..
Yeah the McCormick mayo with the lime in it.
What kind of pepper grinder is that? Looked easy to use.
Salsa de piña-papaya is a good topping for savory dishes like tacos pescados.
A couple questions: What are the pros/cons of dredging the fish in flour first? Also, any opinion on recipes that use an egg in the batter? Thanks!
It's not necessary. It will mess with the texture. Just make sure your fish fingers are dry.
Love!

Beautiful... mmm
Yes!
Rick Bayless' daughter just did MY salsa...with one exception, use olive oil instead of water...and add a dab of strawberry jam...trust me
Lol the lady disappeared?
when you buy generic 'red chili flakes' in a jar, aren't they usually arbol chiles?
What happened to the hot sauce?
Rule #1. Always do the nose test after you blend chillies.
What was the white sauce that was spread on top of the tacos? Did I miss something???
+Valerie Torres I think it was sour cream?
its sour cream mixed with a little mayo and a 2 teaspoons of ground black pepper ... well thats how my grandpa makes it and he sells fish tacos in tijuana :)
Thanks!! I will try that!!! Maybe add a little ancho chili powder or sirachi?
+Valerie Torres Sirachi the Chinese sauce? hell no
mahi igual a dorado
omg Yum
La Salsa Perrona, ist better!! Para los Tacos, too
Love Rick...but why does his daughter make me uncomfortable? Cannot put my finger on it....maybe my problem....but.....
Did he say mahi?? For the fish?
Molly Clarkson YAH!
He said to use a teaspoon of baking powder but I swear that looks like a heaping tablespoon of it
don't be scared homie
No tomatillos for salsa?
Victor Delgadillo
It's not that type of salsa.
The chile de arbol salsa is like crack.
that arbol sauce could burn a hole in your stomach!
I When I had Tacos in Ensenada the fish was not fried, it was steamed. I do not know if was just the place I ate or all of the restaurants.
Definitely the place you ate at. Most if not all of them are fry battered with fish straight from the ocean and some vendors do the grilled version.
No tacos for Lanie.
How do you say "in the closet" in Spanish?
you
kyle7412 - adorable. it's like watching a snail trying to do anything.

You fail on so many levels. Your videos are garbage. Now you think you are better? What a joke. Nobody wants you here.
I just relieved myslef with your comment, ohhhhhhhhh
Contact me. Informative, engaging production.
Too much chile arbol lady 🥵
As a Mexican I definitely approve
👍🏽🔥💯
That looks good, but too many chilies for the average person.
Yeah that stuff burnt my face off and I threw it out.
a little dab'll do ya
Not unless you’re Mexican or South/ South East Asian
Don't tweak this recipe and use lettuce , etc. Stick to the basics!
Who even uses lettuce?
Keep that chick out no offense
Lmao
@@mrjace3 it’s funny cuz I listen to skip bayless everyday his brother is the complete opposite it seems.
