I....can't...even. People, she's in her mid 50's....let me repeat that... MID 50'S and she still sounds EXACTLY as she did in her prime which was this exact time in her career when she was recording for those movies. That voice hasn't aged even ONE day....that is a sign of a true and incredible artist. God I love this woman....
That sent chills down my spine... Liz sounds exactly like she did in the film, which was made in 1997. WOW. Ah, the nostalgia, I still love Anastasia. It was one of the best animated films I've ever seen, hands down. I miss it. This video just brought back my childhood.
Liz and Jodie Benson are proof of what happens if you take good care of your voice. Lea Salonga has also aged very gracefully, but she's a bit younger... Susan Egan, Judy Kuhn, and even the late Adriana Caselotti all sound(ed) great. Infact, the only real trainwreck princess is Paige O'Hara. I believe that Paige has a good performance in her if she took some coaching to restore what she damaged.
Liz and Aaliyah both did incredible versions of the song. So excited for my friend Christy Altomare who will be singing that song 8 times a week starting March of next year 2017 when ANASTASIA officially comes to Broadway.
Oh Michael, christy is what brought me back here. It rehashed my love for Anastasia. She does it complete justice. I’d love to see her in it. She is incredible.
Omggg HER VOICE IS STILL EPIC AND CLEAR AND THAT TONE! WHAT I WOULD GIVE TO HAVE HER VOICE!!! UGHHHH OMGGG THAT VOOIIICCCEEE! MY ALL TIME FAV. VOCALIST!! HANDS DOWN. QUEEN!
She still has that VOICE!! WOW...I got the chills and started crying instantly...this was one of my favorite movies growing up, better than any Disney film...I've always felt Anastasia was an honorary Disney Princess! Hehe
She's so gorgeous and perfect. After all these years she kept her charm and her so beautiful and pure voice :) And she's also the singing voice of Jasmine in the sequels of Aladdin
When a singer really has what's called "vocal technique" there's no reason a voice has to decline markedly, this lady obviously KNOWS how to sing, thankfully she also sings with feeling. Wonderful.
Liz thank you. Both i and my daughter just love your voice(Anastasia is her fav all time movie). Your voice is just as amazing today thats incredible. You have brought lots of magic in to the hearts of children thank you. Bless.
That was phenomenal. Grew up singing along with Odette and Anastasia, so it brings me so much joy to watch this now as an adult and see her still rocking the mic! :)
Amazing light-lyric soprano. Great voice and technique... Tremendous resonance thanks to a perfect technique like Mariah is also a light-lyric and has that same resonance. Wanted to hear more from Liz and know her vocal range...
Mariah is naturally an alto. "Daydream" is the only album where she sang so light and airy. Her voice was actually damaged by then as she was unable to sing full voice. If you question my response listen to her in 1993 vs 1995. Any performance.
@@rayray88161 you're wrong. First of all, Alto is not a voice type, it's for choir singers. The name you're looking for It's contralto. That would be Cher, Annie Lennox and singers with androgynous tone. Mariah is a soprano. Her voice blossoms as it goes higher.
@@victorrodrigueesoficial ok if I am wrong as I was close still. You are calling Mariah a "light-lyrics soprano" which is only used when naming off classical voices not popular western singers.
Lyrics: Heart, don't fail me now! Courage, don't desert me! Don't turn back now that we're here People always say Life is full of choices No one ever mentions fear! Or how the world can seem so vast On a journey to the past Somewhere down this road I know someone's waiting Years of dreams Just can't be wrong Arms will open wide I'll be safe and wanted Finally home where I belong Well, starting now, I'm learning fast On this journey to the past Home, love, family There was once a time I must have had them too Home, love, family I will never be complete Until I find you One step at a time One hope, then another Who knows where this road may go. I think I was about 7 when I first saw Anastasia, and I have loved to hear Liz Callaway sing ever since! I can’t tell you how many times I have seen that movie, but the main reason I love it so much is because of her! So much talent...
I found myself closing my eyes to listen to her voice with Anastasia's face but shouldn't be - give credit where it's due! This woman is amazing and the swan princess is one of my all time favorite disney films.

I’ve loved this song since I saw the film all those years ago. I just noticed the similarities the music has to another one of my favorite songs which is the Meadowlark.❤️

I don't know, her voice sounds noticeably more mature to me. But she still sounds PHENOMENAL!
ShoMeSho Oh more mature for sure, that does comes naturally with age, but when it's so obvious that the age hardly shows, THATS incredible.
Jennifer Hiemstra in my opinion she's actually improved since then.
Yes!!
I'm not evening right now!!! Like... I effin can't!!!
i immediately started tearing up when she began to sing
Helene i did too 😭
+bit03 Awww 😩
i got goosebumps
Helene same
I’m holding back tears
She deserves more awards! I'm not kidding!
I agree her voice is absolutely stunning

***** Find the Channel "Inside The Magic" and Watch Paige sing her songs. It's horrid.
+ctn04132 lol!!!
Her voice is ageless 👍👍👍
Liz and Aaliyah both did incredible versions of the song. So excited for my friend Christy Altomare who will be singing that song 8 times a week starting March of next year 2017 when ANASTASIA officially comes to Broadway.
Michael I. Haber wow its so cool to know that she's your friend! :) She's gonna go places after that role :)
Oh Michael, christy is what brought me back here. It rehashed my love for Anastasia. She does it complete justice. I’d love to see her in it. She is incredible.

This is called timeless talent. She sounds EXACTLY like how she sounded in the movie. I have goosebumps right now. Ah my heart 😍
Omggg HER VOICE IS STILL EPIC AND CLEAR AND THAT TONE! WHAT I WOULD GIVE TO HAVE HER VOICE!!! UGHHHH OMGGG THAT VOOIIICCCEEE! MY ALL TIME FAV. VOCALIST!! HANDS DOWN. QUEEN!
Wow, her voice hasn't aged. Great stuff.
This is so amazingly well done! Seventeen years later and she still sounds exactly like the recording? What an icon!
+Emily Ward 19, though it's probably almost twenty now because people need to record before film release date. just makes it even more awesome.
17 years later, she still sounds pretty much the same.
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. She has such a great singing voice.
Her voice is still crystal clear and perfect! She still sounds beautiful!
She still has that VOICE!! WOW...I got the chills and started crying instantly...this was one of my favorite movies growing up, better than any Disney film...I've always felt Anastasia was an honorary Disney Princess! Hehe
She had an imperialist family..Of course she was 😂
She's so gorgeous and perfect. After all these years she kept her charm and her so beautiful and pure voice :)
And she's also the singing voice of Jasmine in the sequels of Aladdin
Stru Bel there are sequels like more than ONE????
@@Adam-xy4ny Two :) The Return Of Jafar and Aladdin and The King Of Thieves.
laurabadora414 those sucked
She’s my mother’s age, the age of some grandmothers, and she still has the same youthful clarity to her voice she had when she recorded this.
When a singer really has what's called "vocal technique" there's no reason a voice has to decline markedly, this lady obviously KNOWS how to sing, thankfully she also sings with feeling. Wonderful.
Not me crying, this has always been my favorite movie!
As soon as she stopped talking and started singing my mouth dropped! Anastasia is still in her sounds identical to the first time she sang it!
YOU CAN TELL SHE TAKES CARE OF HER VOICE.
oh GIRL she hit that last note!! that was a real emotional journey for me. gonne go watch Anastasia for the millionth time now, k bye =)
akacj7 waiy that’s a Bb4 right? I’m just guessing I could be wrong... I think I can belt that note 😄
Liz Callaway.... I could listen to her for days....
I would've cried then there had I witnessed this live! Marvelous!
Wow! She sounds exactly how she sounded when she sang this song for the movie!
If I had a voice like this, i'd be singing 24/7 lol --- and that 10 second note at the end... geejus...
Wow the way she controls the way she breathes singing high end notes!! Literal chills
Wow, still sounds like in the movie :-)
that's so professional. the performance is perfect. her voice has never aged. very very beautiful.
that last note gave me chills
Liz thank you. Both i and my daughter just love your voice(Anastasia is her fav all time movie). Your voice is just as amazing today thats incredible. You have brought lots of magic in to the hearts of children thank you. Bless.
She's my 2nd favorite Anastasia, she is SPLENDID, I really CAN'T describe how much I LOVE her voice

I did not know that Anastasia and Odette were sang by the same woman! Wow! my two fav animated films
This made me sooo happy, she is a true Princess:)
I always rewatch Anastasia cause how beautiful the voices they have even dimitri💜
I love this movie...and her songs in it. This was my shower song in junior high. And auditioned with once upon a December, for a play.
Oh man, that voice. Nothing but love. She was such a huge part of my childhood ❤️
That was phenomenal. Grew up singing along with Odette and Anastasia, so it brings me so much joy to watch this now as an adult and see her still rocking the mic! :)
I feel so excited and mirthful while listening! 😊😊😊

I love her
I’ve loved this song since I saw the film all those years ago. I just noticed the similarities the music has to another one of my favorite songs which is the Meadowlark.❤️
That pianist needs to slow down!!
he's playing it right, took band in h.s. the tempo is right
I love how you can still hear Anya in her voice
Angela Kortright-Calo the pianist is playing fine. it feels fast cause of the notes/arpeggios he's playing. :)
Oh ok my mistake. Sounded fast.
Angela Kortright-Calo I agree, despite following the original tempo, in live performance the pianist is supposed to follow the singer's tempo
This was from Liz's one night concert for Showchoir Camps Of America! Filmed front row. This song is from the film Anastasia. Filmed on July 7, 2014.
she is amazing.
amazing!!
She has such a beautiful voice
