ngl these past few episodes i've appreciated and been grateful of his absence. it's so much more quaint when it's sam and poob.
i expected some kind of celebration for episode 100, maybe even suits or something. but i think its actually way more fitting and on brand that they not only just did a normal episode, they did an episode missing one member. the true episode 100 were the friends we made along the way

1:16:00 Y’know, it’s weird, both of my dogs wanted to be closer to us when they died. The first to go nuzzled beneath my mother’s thigh as he let out his death rattle, but he was being driven home from the vet and had a heart attack so I dunno. The next to die, though? She went out of her way to be near us during her last few days. On her last day, when she was fading in and out of consciousness, she’d just nudge herself deeper into our laps and arms, and she just… let out one last big sigh and checked out in my mother’s embrace. My breed of dogs are prone to separation anxiety, so maybe that had something to do with it, but maybe it was that we were there safe spaces. It’s sad to see them go, to us, they’re a part of our lives, only here for a fraction of it. But to them? We are their lives. So, with this new dog we got, I’m making sure I give it all of the time in the world.
Happy 100th episode, boys. A shame your mother violently exploded in the crematorium.

Was a bit worried since this seemed so sincere and heartfelt. But luckily the last sentence fixed that.
My dog of 13 years passed a week ago. She was doing the same. She would kinda lay down (she was in pain from a tumor in her leg) and then raise her head up to make sure we were still around her, she also wasn't able to walk at the time so we all just crowded around her all day to make her as comfortable as possible and gave her whatever she wanted to eat

On second thought, I just read why Die of Laughter ended. I'm not sure who had too much on their plate, probably all of them, but I just hope to see future content with Bizzle whatever that may be. He's always entertaining with the Forehead Fables lads and doing his own thing as well.

Can confirm that's exactly what 9 year olds are like. My nephew just turned 9 and the last time I saw him, he ran into the room and asked if I wanted to look at his fish tank with him. It was great lol

There is something endearing and heartening about hearing Sam (the general) share what he is going through. Similar feeling to watching his shows with his brother. I guess it’s because Sam and I have similar backgrounds/families in similar parts of the world, and we’re going through the same phase of life. It’s just relatable. And I’m glad he is handling it well and has support.
Lots of weight to end up being the pillar of the family as the previous generation passes the baton, yeah?

I had a dream that General Sam came over to my house ate my food drank my drinks and sat at the couch watching tv. He was very cordial, i told him i had to go to work and that he was free to stay but he immediately got up dumping the bowl of chips from his lap and said, "nope im good," and then he left. Congrats for 100 episodes Sam!!! I’ve been around since day 1 of the podcast, and you’ve been a constant in my life since I was in early highschool. I was a close minded, insecure, stupid little highschooler with no friends when I began listening. Since then, I’ve descovered who I want to be, found someone to have a happy and stable relationship with, moved across the country on my own, working a decent paying job, and I’ve managed to save enough to buy my dream car.
All I can say is is thank you for continuing to make these, I’ve always been super excited to listen when I get the notification. I feel like this podcast has cemented itself as a minor piece of me growing up into adulthood, and as stupid as that may sound, it’s true, and it’s helped me through getting through the worst parts of my life as of posting this comment.

I lost my moms some years back, just under a week after my 30th bday. Everybody dreads the day they say bye to their parents, its a day that seems long in the distance and it used to anger me that it had arrived so early, but as I looked around to see a number of my friends experiencing that same day far before its due I found a sort of peace in the chaos and uncertainties.
Take your time, do what Brock Samson says about "fear is the mind killer" or whatever.

In reference to why the older dogs get lumpy, a lot of dogs as they age will get Simple Lipomas (fatty tumors) - which are overall harmless and usually develop on the chest or abdomen, though can form anywhere beneath the skin. All that really needs to be done, more often than not, is to just watch them and make sure that they don't continue growing or to make sure that they're not causing your dog discomfort, especially if they're Infiltrative (locally aggressive and can spread to surrounding tissues) instead of Simple.
In a way it’s kind of nice just to have Sam and poob for the hundredth because the podcast only got good after Poobs solo episodes

As someone who grew up in Tallahassee then moved to Indiana and worked in Indy, my mind is racing on exactly where they’re taking about. Will guess Sams talking about near FAMU, since it’s south side. Sam’s probably talking about the Monon trail (they chain down their AC units) and the hibachi place was Osaka, now it’s probably the one on north Monroe.
