Sam this makes me cry so much, im one of the 20ish aulos players in the world, it actually sounds really good tbh. I play the aulos of Pydna and I love every second of learning the gorgeous complexities of ancient Greek music.
The video he was talking about I think is this one video that was a very crude representation of what we knew of the Euripedes chorus of Ωρεστες, an ancient song with little to no notation for it. It's a bit shrill but that's also because it's hard to nail those microtones

I love the normal chill just kinda say whatever and makes some jokes type of content that’s normal for the podcast. And Toldinstone fit right in while also teaching about a lot of interesting things throughout history. He made it very fun and interesting while also stating the facts. Probably my favorite ep so far honestly. (Almost tied with “two dads living like larry” ep) hope i can see/listen to some more eps similar to this

Life here is very much give and take, neighborly help to others around you and being a decent enough human that people know they can trust you in a pinch. Positive word of mouth is power out here and that too has led me to live a better life. Edit: Back in the town's history a tobacco growing family had a falling out over under-the-table sold tobacco. The youngest son was shot by the older siblings on a nearby mountain pass and left in a burning car. TLDR: Be an inspiration not a warning in a small rural town, or you'll end up in a BBQ.

In 7th grade I poured so much into a paper about the Bosnian genocide during the Yugoslav wars on my own intuition, we could write about anything historical. I was so proud of my paper. Got a C- fuckin spited that teacher rest of the year became a huge dick.
