Was definitely cheering against you but just because I am pulling for Settled. Honestly though if you had won out after eliminating Settled and back to backed, that would've have been my next choice
While watching GG up to this point there were two wolves inside me: one that didn't want someone to win back to back, and one that would have loved to see you pull it off. Ultimately sad to see you go, but you made it far! I'm excited for the possibility to see you coming back in Season 5 with a vengeance.
I thought the use of the home tele was big brain play and I was surprised Settled didn’t think of it too. Thanks for talking about that piece. If you upload progress videos of maxing, you would have a lot of support!

I think the way to solve the Shantay Pass problem is probably just to make the rule "clear your inventory when you switch spellbooks" instead of "clear your inventory when you cast". That way you can't overlap on actually getting runes, but you can overlap in terms of getting to the next spellbook.
Yeah, I'm confused what the fuss was here. I didn't remember any rule against getting items in-between spell casts/spellbook swaps, you just just have to purge your inventory at a few specific points. Seemed obvious that he could get money for Shanty Pass and drop anything leftover once through.
@@TheBruin42 I dunno, I rewatched it and the wording does make it sound like you can't get anything in your inventory after casting a spell and before swapping to a new spellbook.

I believe the rules were that you couldn't get ANY items/coins before swapping to your next spellbook. Unfortunately I left the Discord ages ago, so I can't reference the actual picture of the rules Soup posted at the time to double check.
@@VtheVictim I believe you can minigame tele to giant's foundry with no reqs. Can't remember if you guys couldn't minigame or had to use it for something else. Either way it isn't a great rule tbh. I'm assuming it was just to prevent using the same exact money maker twice in a row. Edit: Oh yeah you used home tele as your lunar spell. I could have watched for another 30 seconds... lol.
I actually agree with you that thieving being a defacto gold maker for some challenges ruins the potential creativity for completing a challenge/banning. Even though I'm backing Settled and was happy he made it through, you make an excellent point. I'm sure Soup will take that into account when he comes up the next challenges.

I guess without outright banning thieving there could be an extra rule of any method of earning money can only be used for 1 spellbook, though with that it should really be clear that home telly can't be used to skip the money requirement

Congratulations for making it so far! I have rooted for you ever since your debut episode in season 3. You seem like a really cool guy and you have a sort of unique "character" in the series as an old washed up pro coming out of retirement where everyone else are either entertainers or really good active generalists/specialists. If there ever is a season 5 would definitely like to see you there! And a DMM review would be great too!
If you have afk time while maxing: Consider going through an early/mid game iron. That helps with a bunch of challenges as well such as learning more obscure pieces of content / item spawns or shops for random quest items... Awesome run btw and hope to see you on s5!

Sorry to hear idiots have been giving you grief over the home tele - i was screaming at the screen when settled was struggling with the arceus spellbook for him to use the home tele too, but obviously he didn’t need it in the end
They could only use home tele once and Settled used it at the start. From a viewer perspective it was weird to see that one home tele counts and the other doesn't. It's not Victims fault, it should've been more clear in the rules.
@@ChealderIn Settled's case I think since he went right for the magic tutor, there was no reason to count the home tele in editing as his cast, may as well just 'count' the Air Strike instead.
I wasn't expecting a back-to-back, I think everyone involved was working to stop that. But making it so deep rather than going out immediately like Verf was an amazing run.

Think one of the issues solo didn’t was because during the airing of GG solo was working with Jagex on the creation of deadman all stars. He didn’t put out a whole lot of videos during this time to begin with.

Settleds fans see him as a runescape god of sorts, and i mean its not too far off given what he's accomplished, but whenever people are HUGE stans they always go after the opponent which happens to be you. You did great man, i would never wanna be in a 1v1 against settled.
