Using a drone we can explore compositions and viewpoints unlike no other, so on this weeks video I'm sharing some tips for taking better photos with your drone. I feature the DJI Mavic 3 but of course most of the tips will also apply to other drone types, I hope you enjoy this weeks, video and thanks for watching. Paul @ Photo Genius 😀
Thank you for this video. As a still photographer primarily, how often and under what circumstances do you use ND filters for still drone photography? I have the Mavic 3 Pro.
Great video I am trying to save up for a drone as this would help me alot as I am disabled and with walking problems so I just hope to get to try the drone.
Great tips. I just recently purchased my first drone, being the DJI Mini 3 Pro. Absolutely loving it, and a massive learning curve. Keep up the awesome content.
Paul, nice Drones photography and tips! Curious about your drone altitude- approximately what height was your drone for the beautiful pano? And the boat bracketed shots? On your controller at 4:23 I see H 115 m and D 73 m so I am guessing 115 m high but the D? Maybe that is the distance from the controller b/c it is certainly farther than 73 m to the target. Thanks for making and sharing this video!
For the pano I'm sure I would have had the drone close to max altitude (120 metres here in Australia). You are correct, the D is distance from controller. Thanks for watching.
Hi Paul,,, That panoramic you took,,, was fantastic,,, if ide of took that it would be a king size print hanging on my wall,,, you should be selling stuff like that Paul,,, every bit helps.
I was somewhat surprised when you said you favour F8 on the mavic 3. I'm curious whether or not you've done much testing with the other f stops ? great video as always full View and I left you a like
I have bought also DJI mavic 3 some weeks ago but unfortunately I'm not satisfy with my photos . (Videos are perfect) but not photos specially when I take photo near a subject such people . Resolution is very very law :( How can I fix it . Please help me.
great tips for beginner photographers and a great drone! if you switch to the telephoto lens can you opt to do a panorama with it? that would be great to have a panorama made with the 100+mm lens instead of the wider one
That is a very expensive photo drone you have. I will not watch this video, as i have no chance of buying 1. Like your videos, not this priceclass. It is about 18.000 danish kroner= 3000 dollars.

Thanks Paul, having seen the images, especially that amazing pano, I want one!!
It's addictive too - sometimes I fly it purely for fun and don't actually record anything.
Best wishes Jim.
Thanks champ.

Great job down under. I noticed your using the RC controller with the Mavic 3. How is this possible?
A new firmware upgrade will allow this - I am fortunate to have early access.

8:00 you taping on the screen is changing the light setting and nothing to do with focus :)
I thought with aperture 4 is the sharpest images we can get at most of the time .

No I don't have a drone

Yep the Mavic 3 is a higher end drone, take a look at the DJI Mini drones if you're keen. Thanks for watching.
Great video!
