You are such a classy lady! I admire your teaching style and most of the projects that you share. I am stumbling to get a RUclips site off the ground to help me not be so isolated from all my quilting buddies, left behind to care for my ailing Mama. Any suggestions would be so appreciated! I value your opinions so much. Keep up the great work you do!
Working with rulers is my very next learning technique on my list. I ordered my foot just a few days ago. It’s like you knew!😊 Thank you on your most beautiful demonstrated tutorials. You care to detail is wonderful and really comes across well. Once my foot arrives, I’ll be sure to watch this again.
I really like this quilt. It’s out of my normal color range, but I still like it. Wd be great for the masculine set, too. I tried doing that kind of quilting on my domestic once, w/o a ruler. It didn’t turn out too swell! My curves were not even, though I tried hard. Rulers are the bomb! I’ll hv to try it again. TFS. 🌷
Love your quilt. I always learn so much from your videos. I’ve never quilted, but I could since watching your video. You are such a fabulous teacher. Thanks for always making your tutorials easy to understand. 💕☀️🧵
I was trying to quilt waves with a ruler, ( I have the same machine as you). The ruler kept on moving out of place, I couldn’t manage holding the ruler and the quilt at the same time. The quilt was 56” x 68” throw size. 😩I finally gave up and did it free hand. It didn’t come out like I wanted it to. I’d gone too far with waves to turn back. Very frustrating, but now I see how you’re handling the quilt as if you had it on a long arm frame.
Además de las reglas se usa in pie de máquina completamente diferente. Se adapta a cualquier máquina o solamente a una marca?. Gracias por su respuesta. Saludos desde Piura en Perú.
You will need to get a ruler foot for your particular brand of machine. Plus you will need to know if it’s a high shank or low shank machine. Hope this helps.
Oh my goodness. I absolutely love this quilt. ♥️♥️♥️. As always I thank you for being such a great teacher.

Thank you for simplifying something that seemed so complicated. You are amazing!
Such a beautiful quilt! Thanks for sharing!
I believe this motif is also called Orange Peel. Great tips on how to mark the ruler so you align it with your seams!

What a wonderful teaching video! Great job Laura!
I learned so much from this video, never thought of marking the 1/4” with tape, also making the block fit the ruler if it is off a bit.
Thank you! Thank you too for showing how to adjust when the square isn’t exactly square 😆😉‼️
Thanks Laura for the great tip going to try this on some of my charity quilts

I learned a lot in this video. Thank you so much for sharing your tips with us. :) Where did you get your ruler?

Do you start in the center of the quilt & work out to the outside edge?

Maravilhoso.Aplausos
How do you remove the white chalk? I tried brushing, but it didn’t work.
Did you use a black batting to prevent show through bearding?
You can see in the video when she’s talking about sewing the edge of the quilt, it’s white batting peeking out.
