Dear Laura I found that this was the easiest most straight forward quilting technique on YTUBE. Thanks for giving me confidence to activate my creativity.
such a clear and simple tutorial. Its hard to come across quilting videos that actually show you how to quilt your quilt! Thanks so much!
First of all, how sweet of you to show everyone how to use their domestic machines to do quilting, considering you have a nice sitdown mid arm quilting machine. That shows you are more concerned for your main followers than yourself! Received your book today & it is perfect. I am very happy you put your wonderful tips to go along with the patterns. If anyone has not gotten this book yet, get it! It is like having Laura right in your sewing room with you! And no, I do not know Laura personally, I just have watched her for a few years and wish I did!
Thank you very much and I'm so glad you are enjoying the book. Thanks for all your support
Laura is my "Go To" instructor on youtube. You are always so thorough, easy to follow and have great topics that answer my questions & inspire me to get busy quilting!! Thank you very much
Wow, thank you!
I'm going to use this idea on my second quilt. I also love the clamp idea to save my having to wrestle with the big quilts. Thank you for sharing this helpful idea, Laura!

Great tips, as always, Laura. Love the large clips, I am definitely buying those. I would not have thought about using the wavy lines, thank you!
Thank you, Laura! I love getting new ideas for finishing. BTW, I am SO enjoying my copy of “Sew Very Easy Quilt Favorites”. It’s beautifully organized and photogrphed, and the patterns are fabulous. Well done!
Thank you Laura. I love how you describe everything so thoroughly and so clearly.

Hi Laura! These tips are wonderful! I really like your huge clips and the fusible batting. I just bought a Bernina 790 Plus and I can't wait to use that 1396 stitch! Thanks for sharing the video!
Great tutorial! I have the Heirloom batting, the Clover Chaco marker, the Glide thread and a panel. Ready to quilt with you! Your panel came out beautifully!
I love your calm voice. You make me feel like I can do anything! I love that stitch because it is so darn forgiving. Thank you for all your videos!
Me, too. She speaks very slowing and precisely so she is easy to understand also.
Great tips for marking grid lines so much better than starting in the middle, I always pick up a tip or two from your tutorials.
Loved the way the stitching looked. Thank you so much for all your "tips"! This takes the anxiety away from doing the stitching myself. Your instructions are GREAT and thanks for not talking fast!
Thanks Laura for all the wonderful tutorials. I love the that stitch and I will be trying it on my next project.
I just love your tutorials, you have a very pleasant voice and you take your time. Great filming too!
I always learn at least one new technique from every video you put out, Laura. I have those same clothespins but it would never have occurred to me to use them for quilting. Thanks once again!
Love this look! Thank you so much for the beautifully detailed tutorials. I am actually going to get some quilts finished 😄
Hi Laura, I just love your videos! Always so detailed from start to finish that I’m not intimidated to try your projects myself. As a relatively new sewer, your tutorials are a godsend. Thanks! 😊
I did not ever notice this wavy stitch choice! Showing me the marking is so helpful as well as the iron on batting practice
I love this stitch! Thank you for the tips!❤️
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! The perfect feminine touch to my grid quilting. I love all of your videos and have so many saved. I just subscribed to your channel and love your tutorials!

Very nice tutorial. I’m a big fan of walking foot quilting and have done about half a dozen quilts using a similar serpentine stitch. Thank you Laura! ❤️
thanks for sharing your experience. I have several panels that I didn't know how to go about quilting them and this was perfect. All of your thoughts were very helpful for me a beginner.

As always, a very clear and complete tutorial. Really useful, thank you.
I have always been scared to try quilting but with your video, I feel more confident to give it a go. I have 2 great-grandchildren due this year so I'll try to make them one each. Thank you so much for doing these videos to help others to make amazing presents for our family.
I’ve been looking for that stitch. You videos are always so informative. Keeping them coming!
I love this, thank you. I am amazed always at the different ways to use the stitches on my machine.
I just did this method you demonstrated. Whoop! My receiving blanket/quilt looks great! Thank you!
Another easy to follow & informative tutorial. Love that style stitch & material
Love this way of quilting... I have one ready to do but have been afraid of messing it up. Will get some chalk and get busy!
I love this!! I have several quilt tops waiting to be quilted. I'm going to try this. Thank you. I really enjoy your videos.
Your videos are always easy to follow and very interesting. I'm always inspired to sew! Thank you :)
Your videos are so inspiring. I so enjoy watching them.
This has been my go-to stitch for years! Easy and pretty!
Me too, it's great for baby quilts. If you have a guide bar, you don't even need the chalk lines.
Thanks so much Laura, another winner I can’t wait to try......✂️✂️
Love your videos! Love love love the second quilt you showed - the pink 1. You always have great tips & tricks. Happy Sewing ♥️ 🧵 🪡
That looks so easy, didn't see a pucker anywhere! And I love that fusable batting!!! I've been spray basting mine but I really love the idea of ironing a fusable! Looks more stable.
This is beautiful and you a wonderful teacher. Your voice is soothing and you portray a very patient teaching style., which is why you are my go-to sewing friend.
I've always just stitched in the ditch. Not that I've made many quilts, only around six or so over a few years. But I was planning to make a jellyroll quilt for myself, so I'll try this out. If it doesn't look right, well, it wasn't going to be a gift anyway.
I consider myself new to quilting, but from what I've observed, there doesn't seem to be a wrong way to do it.
As always, Laura, you gave us greats tips & info. Thanks😊
Thank you! I have a couple quilt tops and I wasn't sure how to complete. This is very helpful!
I absolutely love this method. I am new to sewing, I just do little quilts for my granddaughter and I only know how to tack them. I will be trying this on her next one. Thank you so much for the tutorial.
I have used this stitch on more than one quilt. I love it and it's very forgiving. I think some people call it a Serpentine Stitch. Either way.. it works for a lot of different patterns. Thank you Laura! I love your videos.
Thank you very much for this super helpful video. I like the simplicity of it and the gorgeous result!
thanks Laura! What a great stitch and lots of good info. I can't wait to try it
Thank you so much for this example, waving to you from Michigan
Love this curving stitch! I'll have to watch again to be sure I understand how to do it! Also the big clamor idea! Love your sliw, calm clear voice....keep up the good work!
Thank you wonderful stiching will try o. My next quit
This is one of the best tutorials!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for the great tip ! I love how it looks ♥️
Absolutely brilliant! I watched this video yesterday, and today while I have been sewing face masks, my mind has kept coming back to it. I am amazed that in all the decades I have been sewing and quilting, I have never seen this serpentine stitch used for quilting. I always machine quilt quilts that I make for babies or children, and I can hardly wait to use this technique when I quilt the baby quilt that I am working on now. It features the mom's favorite Merimekko fabric with large blue flowers, and straight lines just didn't feel right for the quilting. Thank you, Laura!
Wow your tutorial was so easy to follow and so imformative. I am off to look for more as I have only just discovered you. Thank you. Windsor, UK
Great tips. I love the Clover chalk marker! Just ordered two❤️
I’m a new quilter, and didn’t know my walking foot could do that stitch! Much easier than moving the fabric like I’ve been doing to get wavy lines!!
I love this! I don’t have a long arm machine so I have been sending my quilt tops out to the long arm quilter. It’s getting a bit expensive! This is a great alternative. Thanks so much!!!!
Update - I bought a long arm over the weekend! It’s a “sit down” model. Can’t wait to use it!!!!!😃
Thank you for sharing this wonderful method for quilting. I may have to upgrade my machine so I can do such a fun stitch.
This was such a great idea. Did it with my last quilt and was perfect.
Thank you soooooo much!!! I am new at machine quilting and I have looked high and low for an easy quilt stitch pattern for my first design on a panel quilt!
You are so poised and professional! I love your videos!
Thank you!!!! It never occurred to me to use the curving stitch. I can't wait to try it.
Love your tutorials! Thank you😻
Thank you, great easy, nice looking stitch to get my tops done quickly.
Thank you. I always use this stitch. On my Babylock it's called serpentine, love it. Will get the choco marker, like it.
I love the stitching and will definitely try it.
Simple way to get a super cute look! I have to go and see if my machine has that stitch!
I have been using that serpentine stitch for all my projects lately and you are right, no matter if you veer off a bit, it doesnt show at all.
Thank you for sharing your experience 😊, I really enjoyed this video.
Awesome tutorial. Thank you so much . I am definitely trying this method in my next quilt!
This is awesome - thank you so much - as a quilter who struggles this is a very good way for me to do some home quilting.
favourite sewing channel!
Thank. You. Laura. This was an excellent lesson. ( as usual ). I really got a lot out of it. 🧵🧵✂️✂️. Lou from Cape Cod,Mass.
I love how you quilted the quilt. Will have to try it.
It’s a great and fast way to quilt a small or big quilt! I use it on most of my quilts!! 👍🏻
Wonderful! 💖 I love the panel wish it was still available.
That is something I really need to try, looks beautiful.
I have been wanting to make a quilt but have been put off at the thought of quilting it on my sewing machine. Not tried FMQ but this method looks doable thanks to your wonderful tutorial. Many thanks for sharing 🥰💕
Love it! ❤️ I can’t wait to try it. Thank you!
Thank you so much! Great ideas, and I will have to get the chalk stick.
Beautiful quilt. I love the quilting. Thank you.
Genius!! I just discovered your videos and subscribed Laura! So many Great ideas!!! Thank you!
Thank yiu. You always make things look so easy.
You are an excellent instructor.
Hi thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I have always had a problem trying to quilt my projects on a domestic machine. Normally I sew in the ditch but I am never pleased with the finish this creates. I tried the method you suggested in this video and I can’t believe the difference. It is a very forgiving method for a beginner like me, but the finished article looks much more professional that I expected. I can now complete all my other quilt tops using this method. You are a fabulous teacher and very generous imparting your expertise. Kind regards Yvonne Scotland.
glad I could Help:)
