    Sherri, thank you for the detailed and visual tutorial! Very helpful. A couple questions. You demonstrated placing the bar in your machine and fixing it to the 1" mark. I didn't see you tighten anything. Will it stay in place? Also, I like your machine. Can you tell me what machine you have? Thanks so much ❣

    • @wordwalkermomma4
      @wordwalkermomma4 3 года назад +1

      Sometimes, if your thread tension gets whacked, it can leave thread loops, even tiny ones, showing on the underside. If this is bad, you’d want to pick out the stitching and re-do it. But if it’s just a little, you might want to leave it, if it’s on the back... not so much on the front.

    My question is after you’ve stitched on the blue side you turn it over and stitch on the back side? I’m new to quilting and would like to know what you mean here. Thanks for the video , your a great teacher!

  • @starbrown1219
    @starbrown1219 3 года назад +1

    When you cross hatch quilt, do you always stitch on the back instead of the front? When you started this video you mentioned that the blue fabric was the back. Is it because you used white chalk and it would not have shown up on the front? Do you get better results by stitching on the back? I’m intrigued by this. Thx.

    Perfect timing - ready to quilt a 10’ runner tomorrow. Is there a reason to use the 45 degree line on the edge for the second direction rather than the inch markings on the first set of quilting lines?

    Please, please, please use close ups when pointing to fine details you want us to see such as the length of the stitch on the quilt of the table runner. You can talk about it but if we can’t see it, it doesn’t help us.

    I don't like that bar. If you accindentally move it, everything goes wonky. I'd rather mark it all.
