I Played Kakeru For The First Time

- While in Japan for a week to train for Capcom Cup, I wanted to play the best players. The Gamers8 champion and perfect parry master, Kakeru, was definitely one of the highest on my list of players I wanted to play. His playstyle is incredibly unique and strong... let's see how many games I can take against his JP with my Juri.
Street Fighter 6, the next game in the iconic series, will release in 2023! @@renattus i cant recall the details , but the qualification system changed recently and it didnt benefit locations such as Japan that is stacked with world class players
@renatofernandes1426 I'm personally glad there will be less jps. But the best players in the world aren't in capcom cup. They changed it to where there is representation in different regions. So Japan only has like 2 people in it. If it was like previous years, there'd be a lot more people from Japan and jps players.
This is why evo is the de facto tournament of the year always. Capcup is great, but evo always brings the chaotic players into the fold
I can't believe Kakeru is not qualified for Capcom Cup. His only chance is through the LCQ now.
That LCQ is going to be fun to watch some good players in there👍

They need to take that punish counter crumpled stand fierce or whatever it is away from JP. He gets way too much damage by throwing that out in neutral.
Kakeru does not like to block is one thing I noticed lol
It feels like Jp doesn’t have to all that often at this level
I'd say your biggest problem in this match up is you block too much and back off a lot when you get up close. You gotta play like Du and just stay close and force the amnesia either he does it or he dies which if you know when he wants to obviously you get a free DI.

Your Juri still looked very intelligent and high level, but in a way, this was extremely relatable to and resonated with me on a much lower level.
From my POV, it looked like only JP was using setups and executing strings according to a plan while you were just trying to survive neutral. The rounds you won, you beat him in neutral or bamboozled him as many times as I do when I win a round (I don't know very many strings and combos).
I would be extremely interested in an analysis/summary of your thoughts on what was going on here, what YOU see as the thing that let him do this to you. You definitely controlled some rounds, so it's not a matter of different leagues. You can play in his league. Keep it up, best of luck, big respect!

Im curious, and this is genuine: If punk lost and made excuses as to why, like saying JP is too strong with too many options and hardly any weaknesses, wouldn't that justify him having "excuses"? Just to make it more reasonable, if I am the best Manon player in the world, going against the best JP player in the world, and I lose and say, "Hes only really winning like this because of his character." Aren't I objectively correct?
So yes while Cammy is really good in this game, JP really is an actual cancer in this vanilla version. Its not even close how good a max level JP player is compared to a maxed out Cammy player. JP is designed to be that insanely overtuned.
