This tournament had some of the best Dhalsim play I've seen in a while! It's good to see him being used--and used well--in tournaments. I hope we continue to see more variety in season 2 because the endless train of Ken, JP, Luke, and DJ from season 1 got tiring.

How the fuck you win a tournament with a day 1 character. Insane
Punk's fundamentals are probably the best in the whole Sf scene. If you are that good at the basics you can exploit the new matchup.
Punk is not a flashy fighter but his fundamentals are incomparable, honestly. Only people I think are up there with him are Sako (of course, he's Mr. Execution), J. Wong, and Daigo. That's why he can use characters like Chun Li to near-perfection despite not maining them. And seriously, if you look at Punk's record using Chun in tournaments, he's literally never lost. So it's crazy he typically settles on simple characters like Karin and Cammy.
Easy, just be Punk. 😅
Punk's fundementals are the highest grade.

Thanks for the upload! I feel like Du would've made Punk work for it more, but I'll give it to Luiman for cleaning it up vs Du and getting that win. Great games through the whole top 48, and seeing Sim taking shots at so many other chars, TWO Sims at that, was really refreshing. Beanie Sim vs No Beanie Sim needs a run back! That might be my fav match in the whole thing lol.
