But if you act pretentious and mock a pro player as if he is trash and as if you can do better, you do look embarrassing. You the type of kid that watches sports and goes “God, this guy sucks. How did he miss that, he is trash lmao” So yes, you can talk down on players far better than you. But you ain’t immune to criticism and consequential either
Goddamn people it's okay to just say you hate Punk for his antics. But choking? The fuck nuckledu did, then? He was 5-0d as well. Gachikun 5-1? Bruh just watch the other semis with Du not letting that chun li move the entire game, only to get absolutely mauled by Mena. Give the guy his credit, he plays Blanka like no one else. That's it.
Du's 5-0 was different. He knew that Guile can do a lot more about Blanka than either of Punk's characters could, specially with Mena being one of the best Lukes in the world, so you Punk did not get much from the character swap when Mena knows the character inside out. Du put up a really close fight for each of those 5 games, with Mena edging him out with better decisions at key moments. Punk took 1 round then crumbled.
@Unit27 the first part of your comment already described why it's not a choke, then??? If punk couldn't do anything because of match-up and Mena just activating God mode, why would that be a choke? A choke would be if he was favored to win and CHOKED, not that! And the only difference between his and Du's 5-0 is as you said. Guile could do more against Blanka, and almost win A round. That's it. Du was demolished aswell, it was basically a replay of punks, of just getting cornered and being absolutely mauled. Only with guile it took a bit more time to do so. That's all. Saying Punk crumbled like Du was in some kind of "control" is nonsense. Both got the living shit kicked out of
Mena's Blanka has been beaten, so you can't blame game imbalance. Plus, Mena had a really tough match before he swept Punk. So Punk has nothing to complain about. He just needs to figure the character out. He has to face his demon. It's not like Infiltration's Nash in SF5 when he won EVO. That character was on skates and was pretty unstoppable before he was nurfed.
@@llamabot9889 Bwahaha! This is the most balanced version of SF in many years. My TedTalk was specifically about Punk requesting a nurf of Blanka because he can't beat him. Oh, and Luke has been beaten handily, even when Punk plays as him. So be easy buddy. You can't win'em all.
Mena has always had Punk's number, and Punk knows it. Punk is my favorite SF player, but for all of the skill he has, I think it is clear he needs to work on his mental game to hit the next level. He always gets so close, but can't close. It's not a lack of skill...
I wouldn’t say so at all. Punk used to beat Mena all the time in SFV. It’s not mental game. Punk has proven that he can handle pressure in all his tourney entries over the years. The issue is Mena’s Blanka. No one has a solid answer yet. It’s a rarely picked character and no one labs against him. Why do you think NuckleDu lost in the same manner as Punk 5-0? And Gachikun 5-1? And Broski who wasn’t a runner up like Punk and Du almost beat Mena 5-4 in the first of 16 round. Mena deserved to win, he’s been consistent and hard working. But not knowing the Blanka matchup in SF6 plays a role. Same for Poongko’s Seth or Infiltration’s Hakan back in SSF4. SF6 is still in Year 1 of it’s life span. As in every game in the FGC, there will be new champions old and new faces emerging and leaving. But all these players as Punk, Du, Mena, Bird, gachikun, nephew, iDom, Tokido, Bonchan, are still in their prime. Everything will change. People say Punk washed or Tokido washed since SF5 but they got no idea and are always proven wrong with every year of the shelf life of a SF title. Mena on top now. But Punk and the rest of the best of the best not even nearly done.
Blanka’s an interesting character because he could be op but most people aren’t good enough at playing him for there to be solid evidence. Plus Mena’s Blanka got destroyed in Capcom Cup

I’m just glad Punk switched characters so the a&& whooping was more evenly distributed damn. Still a solid SF player no doubt
Damn, MenaRD did not just win, he bullied Punk the entire set. The guy is on another level. Amazing stuff !
Punk still can't crack the Blanka code.
he has beaten his blanka with cammy in tournament
Nobody really can. Gachikun, Du, etc. Remember SFL finals? Blanka is smoking everyone.
@@crimsonraiza3633 Only one God can and that’s Infiltration… if he wasn’t bann he would be washing everyone
@@crimsonraiza3633Broski came close with a bottom 3 character.
Not when it mattered ouch
Meanwhile Punk after the match "I can't wait Capcom patch for nerfing Blanka"
he didn’t say that
But he did basically say that.@@accountwithnocontent4464
@@accountwithnocontent4464what did he say?
@@azarel7He said i hope Infiltration isn’t in the next Tournament.. Infiltration would wash everyone in SF6.
Maybe then somone would actually take a round from mena 🤦♂️
Mena is just on another level...
Legend has it menard is still going with his set up’s in the 4th match that was nasty
Punk NEVER DISAPPOINT ME!! Keeping the LOSING STREAK ALIVE!! PunkdaSWEEP!!! NICE!!😅🤣😂
Man seeing how much they've both improved throughout these years is just wild. Mena really had me lost on his movements but really loved it and very impressive and also very tough to beat. Good stuff yall
I think he was nervous.... that set was free.
Go Mena! Show them you are the best!
7:43 You can see him preparing the super like crazy and he still missed lmao
😂
I can't believe it failed... the hitbox is kinda big but seems like maybe Mena knew...
Laughing at a pro being beat by another pro while being a nobody is pathetic 😂
@@lightup6751 Oh sorry, I forgot I’m not allowed to find fun in videogames and I must idolize anyone who plays better than me. You’re right.
@@bulb9970
It’s funny how you are straight up lying to make a poor attempt at an excuse.
You are allowed to have fun in video games. You are allowed to be crap at video games as I’m certain you are. You don’t need to idolize anyone playing better than you.
Nobody ever said you couldn’t.
But if you act pretentious and mock a pro player as if he is trash and as if you can do better, you do look embarrassing.
You the type of kid that watches sports and goes “God, this guy sucks. How did he miss that, he is trash lmao”
So yes, you can talk down on players far better than you. But you ain’t immune to criticism and consequential either
Bro really giving that work with blanka
10:16 Menard took Punk to Juggle & Wash city right there! That combo was absolutely disgusting!
“Somebody stop this man!” Mena with the absolute Crossover Bonanza!
Menard making punk look so free. Just has him read like an open book.
People have been trying to say blanka isn’t top 5 for a while now and I’m not hearing it anymore. That shit is cheap.
Platano Power in effect
Yo, yo, yo. It's ya boy Punk and i got absolutely bodied.
Dude 10:13.......HOW? XD, poor Punk he was already dead XD
Menard no earphones no problem he's the men among man🤯
10:14 is to show that today we have a difference between this 2 big players.
Eh, not really. Mena’s Blanka is nasty but Punk is far from being done. This is the first year of the game. The balance always changes
With all the shouts from the crowd makes it sound like a real street fight
Watching Punk play is awesome.
Somehow its damn satisfying to see Blanka in final and punk totally submitted.
SWEPT PUNK !!! 😱🤦🏼♂️😵💫… MÉNARD IS REALY THE GOAT… with BLANKA !!!!!!!!!! BEFORE with Luke and before with BURDIE very congratulations !!!
Blanka vs Punk is a person specific counter pick and it's honestly genius. Don't play footsies with Punk.
MenaRD humble! God is powerful! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
i'm not a Street Fighter Player but
when i see MenaRD and Blanka
i click
What a performance Mena
It’s like punk wasn’t even blocking 😂
😂 I know right
Es cómo si Mena estuviera jugando solo 😂
It’s called spacing
Both got the living shit kicked out of
Wowwwww 10:20
Cara o punk não jogou mais. Tome combo.
Olhe para o rosto dele nesse combo, vc verá que ele percebeu que a vaca foi pro brejo
punk mero muñeco de practicas para mena
Este muchacho me llena de orgullo!!!
Luke is still busted, the game is far from balanced you child
@@llamabot9889the one playing luke was punk lmao
@@llamabot9889 Bwahaha! This is the most balanced version of SF in many years. My TedTalk was specifically about Punk requesting a nurf of Blanka because he can't beat him. You so desperately wanted to be in the conversation that you just said some random stuff lol. Well, you did it champ. Congrats on insulting someone over the interweb!!! Oh, and Luke has been beaten handily, even when Punk plays as him. So be easy buddy. You can't win'em all.
@@Nobody-su9km I didn't want to be the one to tell him lol.
3:16 That crossup heavy son
You’re honoring God by being thankful, Well done Mena, keep placing DR in the map
Mena's mind is on another level. This guy is playing 4D chess!
Domincan power, coño! Mena es demasiado duro 💪🏽😂
Mis respetos y admiracion como amador de los fights, me parece candela la actitud y habilidad , ultra maineo de blanka....saludos desde chile
What an insane combo to clinch 4-0.
I don't think I've watched an sf6 match where one opponent was *put* into burnout sooo often. It felt like almost every round. Unbelievably dominant
Absolutely amazing battle!
If back-to-back no round Browns doesn't say "Blanka needs a nerf", then I don't know what does.
Punk has that oldschool defense
Omg that capital punishment ☠️☠️☠️☠️😂😂😂😂
Idk why these days some people still upload in only 1080p not in 1080p60FPS...
What you mean? It’s always 60fps for fighting games
@@lightup6751 Video is not smooth it runs in 30fps...
Blanka’s an interesting character because he could be op but most people aren’t good enough at playing him for there to be solid evidence. Plus Mena’s Blanka got destroyed in Capcom Cup
Let’s go Mena
Punk got toasted . Mate the combo towards the end... illegal.
Mena has punks number
Good job Mena for humbling this self proclaimed "God". Always a pleasure to see him cry like a little child. 🤣
When you fight blanka it just highlights the issues with this game especially with the corner . Corner fighter 6
This is a pretty legendary video.
Good blanka and cammy great fight keep up the good work
Completely unrelated, broski vs mena was siiick
Where was all this at Capcom Cup from Mena?
U can tell fuudoo trained specifically for menard, and it payed of. When they played against each other before capcom cup, mena beat him convincingly
Damn lol the guy at the end saying “atleast you didn’t lose in grand finials this time” then long awkward silence
*spoiler* Menas victory speech should have been "there's only one God, Rob. And he certainly doesn't dress like that"
