@gohanson27 what good stuff? Most of his plan involves side/support characters. Superman and Batman should've been the focus. Not just a movie each, but actually use them to build the world.

Instead of targeting people giving them free promotion they need to concentrate on making films their former fans actually want to see. The arrogance is off the charts. They can see everything but themselves as being the problem.
Thats the case - they are making so much trash that they don't see those people as promoting them - but scaring the f*ols ops i mean the "consumers" away thus they are loosing hundreds of millions as a result.

Agreed, while endgame was being filmed, there were nonstop leaks, but because it was still a good movie, everyone went and saw that movie. No lawsuits or Marvel being pissy about it.

I don't think real fans care about the diversity, but they do care about crappy writing, shoehorning in virtue signaling, crumy CGI, and nothing being connected any longer. There were already women and minorities in the marvel movies that people loved so I don't think it has to do with diversity that people don't like the movies anymore.

Beginning of the end. Civil war should have been more than 1 movie. World War Hulk, ruined. Secret Invasion, ruined. The movie is literally about the US president losing an election and turning himself into a Hulk because he doesn't want to leave the White House and a group of new Avengers consisting out of white women and people of colour led by an African American man have to take him down. And if you've seen Harrison Ford's leaked fat and out of shape Hulk you know this is 100% what they're doing. They might've toned it down with reshoots but this is still going to be the narrative they're going for.

@@q45ij54q That is what i am thinking. If the leaker is some one that works for Disney/Marvel then their contract has a built in NDA to prevent leaks. Looks like the guys a Marvel suspect it's some one under contract and that is why they want that info. If it is some one under contract then they will lose their job and face a serious breach of contract lawsuit and be black balled from the entertainment industry for life.

If its an employee (whether contractor, salraried, hourly) who is taking the stuff AND trying to make a buck off of it, I have zero sympathy for that.

I'll use my crystal ball to predict the upcoming M-She-U films; strong female leads, race swap classic characters, gender swap classic character, white man bad, villians that are not Caucasian are simply misunderstood and justified in their destruction of everything that they've destroyed up to the point of understanding their back story.

I still remember the Quantumania leak being a completely accurate summary of the movie until the climax.
Basically, instead of a deus ex machina portal, the Ant-Fam (another scrapped concept) had the same Quantum wristwatches from Endgame. They fix these devices and return to Earth, but Scott is left behind and Kang proceeds to whale on him ala Thanos to Tony in Infinity War. Hope goes back for Scott, but this is what Kang wanted. He steals her gadget and escapes, leaving Scott and Hope stranded. Now that he's free, he starts changing history immediately.
I read that part and thought "Damn, this could be pretty good". I went to see Quantumania on opening day, not caring that I'd more or less spoiled the movie for myself because I liked what I read beforehand. Instead of a cliffhanger, Kang got shrunk into oblivion; Scott and Hope are immediately plucked from the Quantum Realm and it ends on a joke about Scott's former boss being bad at baking.
Damn. Feige got so mad at a leak, he changed the ending.
“Can we get some toast” has been almost spot-on everytime, and they do seem to support Marvel , doesn’t seem like a bad thing, they seemed like they have helped marvel by filling seats in theatres, on one hand some people like to be surprised and don’t like leakers, while others Love hearing leaks and seeing set photos, so I guess it’s a touchy situation, do you stop the leaker or continue letting them give out teasers
The only thing that comes out of it is that it gives Disney something to attempt to explain away their failures even though they’ve already been doing it themselves already.
I wont say it sucks. Theres a cottage industry of leakers now. Its a part of the movie release ecosystem now and it is only really hurting the studio as streaming replaces cable more and more. The streaming model is a poorly thought out, tossed together as it was made thing, not all as refined and equitable as the TV and theatre model of old. In the old system, the ways you made money have all been hammered out. Streaming came along and kicked the old system in the nuts and laughed all the way to the bank. So everyone tried to make a streaming service. Now that we are saturated with them and the TV system is half dead, along with its revenue streams, the money is all drying up and no one knows what to do.
Seems like with all the other problems their movies and shows have, leaks would be the least of their worries. I'd be more concerned about having to almost make every movie twice and ballooning the budgets without making the money back than worrying about Internet leaks, but thats just me.
Posting footage was a massive risk and line cross for a leaker. They had to have anticipated this surely?

MCU and SWU are TOO secretive. A lot of the times a trailer comes out and afterwards I still don’t know what it’s about…who’s the bad? what’s the conflict? why should I go to the theatre and spend money on this?

I would assume that spoiling the whole 'plot' of Captain America 4, would be far worse then showing a few pictures of maybe even a few seconds of moving images.

Loose lips may sink ships, but poorly written scripts kill film franchises. I remember when Marvel used to drop leaks when they thought they could do no wrong and generate hype. Now it's lawsuits and copyright strikes to strike fear into anyone that might talk about film rumors?
I wouldn't say "unprecidented", there was that time Magic: The Gathering sent some muscle "investigor" company Pinkerton after a youtuber for opening a card pack on a video he wasn't told he couldn't do yet, and he went on to say if he was told to take the video down he would have, but they didn't even try they sent a muscle company to threaten him and his family.

Could hardly escape any leaks these days, teaser images on people posts and news articles doing the same so id love for leaks to be gone or at least minimzed. I was especially annoyed with the leaks of GxK and complete spoil of the entire script.

Nolan and abrams keep their productions tight. I love movie theories and specualtion. I like my movies like i like my milk, unspoiled.
