Thanks so much for posting! We just bought a 76 Royale for $250.00 ! Needs some love, and there is not much out there ,video wise ,on these repairs,so your effort and time are greatly appreciated!

$250? Thats a heckuva deal! I noticed the same thing....not many videos and only a few actual write ups. Im glad to hear that the videos are helping people. Its all stuff that either needed to be done or that the wifey wanted done so I thought I might as well document the processes and share with others...even though it really doesn't fit our channel, lol.

Yea,the more I'm seeing, the more I realize what a great find we got.The folks were really nice and just wanted to see it go to a good home:)
I meant to ask,do you have any experience with removing/replacing the bedroom windows? I removed all the pieces as you showed,so we can paint our panels,I'm puzzled as to how these windows pop out?
      Thanks again!

Yes, the more people I meet with apaches, the more it reminds me of the old honda motorcycle commercials"you meet the nicest people on a honda",lol.
Unfortunately I have not replaced an end window yet but looking at the outside, it appears that there are corner screws that need to be removed as well as a few "hidden" screws in the sashes. I would assume that once all those are out that the framework would come apart on the outside allowing the window panels to be removed.

Do you think you could have just left the paneling off without replacing? We have a 1980 Ranger, and I know in the older Apache models, they just had the fiberglass bed end walls without paneling. I am wondering why the later models need the paneling? Ours look similar in rot to yours, and need to go. This is a wonderful video, thanks for taking the time to make it.

You dont HAVE to have the paneling but it adds some insulation from noise and temperature as well as just looking nice.

There is not insulation in the panels? Is there insulation anywhere in Apaches?

How much does the reseal and panel replacement cost on both side of pop up?

Depends on what your local Lowe’s or Home Depot charges for the materials. This video is over 6 years old so prices have almost doubled I’m sure.

What about replacing the outer side of the panel. I got one that's completely cracked on the top. Previous owner put some tape on it. They also put screws in the main roof for a curtain(people are crazy) but I need to replace or find a way to fix it with fiberglass. Would really love suggestions.

We sold this camper years ago after it failed us on our first(and only) outting with it. The problem is parts are just too hard to find and designs have improved so much with newer campers that it just wasn’t worth it to us to keep this one with all the little issues that kept popping up with it.

@@BadLuckGarage In what ways did it fail you on your first and only excursion?

I would also know how it failed so I can try to prevent.
