    I'd love to see the Butterick pattern sew-along. Palmer Pletsch patterns are very educational and have classic designs that are always in style.

    the Butterick is so lovely and practical, yes, I would love a sew-along. The detail of the collar inside reminds me of a burdastyle dress I made years ago. It was so difficult that I would like to try it again. I'll get the Butterick pattern

    I made the Butterick shirt and like it very much. It was my first try at the burrito method with the yoke. I think it would be very helpful for anyone want8ng to step up their skills to see a sew along. I’m going to do the long sleeve version next.

    I’m just finishing the butterick pattern!😊 I made the sleeveless. I followed the directions and gathered the back, I didn’t realize there was a choice! And yes, I would love the sew along!

    I’m new to your channel today and doing a marathon to catch up on videos. The one thing I miss is seeing you in the finished garment. It’s always so helpful. As I’m writing this, I see a quick pic now! Thank you. I see others like Karina and Whitney model and tell what adjustments were made. It’s helpful to me as I’m similar in size and think it might work for me, too! Many times it’s a pattern I would never pick out, but then after seeing it made up I love it. Glad I found you today!

      Hi Nancy! I try to add pictures as much as I can ( and some times youtube just gets rid of it or puts an ad right in front of the picture so most people miss it) and I also post on instagram. I also put pictures on my blog and try to tell you about adjustments because there are always a few of those.

    I've got the Donny cut out and ready to go for my daughter. I added 2" and also combined the shirt tails from the Love Notions "Tabitha top". Lengthened the front facing and added a open end zipper. Plan to put the zipper in above the shirt tails to give her the option to tie the tails in the front, the zipper closure idea came to me after watching Katrina's version on Lifting Pins, as a cover-up. Think it will come in handy at the lake on the beach running around after my 3 gkids. Haven't started it yet but looking forward to the picture in my head coming together. I sized down in the body to a small but left the shoulders medium. Hopefully that will fit.

    • @MassonLifestyle
      @MassonLifestyle  Год назад +1

      it should, I could have probably gone a size down. It will look great and I love the idea of the zipper.

    I made the donny shirt for my daughter and have fabric to make one for myself. I thought it was really cute on her, but she hasn't worn it yet. I am currently finishing up the melody dolman from Love Notions, also a camp shirt, that I made in double gauze. Don't think it's going to be my favorite, but I will still wear it. I've never seen a camp shirt in long sleeves so it would be nice to watch your sewalong.

    As a lady with a larger bust, D cup for sewing, and someone who’s made the Donny and shirts with darts(but not the specific shirt in the video), I would say that a dart gives a better fit. Having said that, the Donny, designed for a B cup, did fit ok with not too much of an extra rise at the front. Would love a sewalong!

    • @MassonLifestyle

      I found that when I made it for my daughter the front hem was really lifting, so for sure I will have to do a FBA for her if I make the Donny Shirt for her. I'm always surprised why these designers are not releasing patterns with different cup sizes. I get it, it's more work but not everyone is the same bust size, or at least tell me where the bust point is at so I can take it from there. Question for you because I haven't been able to find it, do you know of a short sleeve t-shirt pattern without a dart for a D cup.

      @@MassonLifestyle I’ve not come across one either. I use the Helen’s Closet Gilbert now. The dart is perfect for me, although a little high. Ive just accepted that a dart is necessary for me! I’d love to know too!

    I would like a sew-along for the Butterick pattern, but I am so interested in the v1942 view b skirt pattern. Alex, Temu has a lot of sewing notions, not eyelet tape but eyelets of all colors very inexpensive 50 counts for around 1.00.

    • @MassonLifestyle
      @MassonLifestyle  Год назад +1

      Mary always so nice to see your comments. I'm actually off to buy fabric so I can work on a sew along this weekend for all of you. INTERESTING you mention Temu, they have been asking me to become a collaborator and I'm still on the fence about it. Sounds like perhaps I should look into this.

    I like them both, my question is the white one from Butterick has such a wide front lapel facing, anything you could suggest making this narrower, it’s seems like a lot of fabric and can be warm!

    • @MassonLifestyle
      @MassonLifestyle  Год назад +1

      Gina you could cut the width of it but keep in mind this also is doing double duty as part of the lapel and the placket for buttons. So you can decrease some of the width of it… but not a to .

    Why is it called a camp shirt? Is it because it doesn't have a collar stand?

    • @MassonLifestyle
      @MassonLifestyle  Год назад +1

      Correct! It doesn’t have a collar stand (Its meant to be called a Cuban collar), gives you that low cut V, its also meant to be loose, straight hem and its actually not supposed to have long sleeves.
