@@stavros222 Thank you. Why, when I was a young lad of 3 years, I was already listening to my first ASMR. It’s been so long, feels like it was 3 years ago. But I can assure you it wasn’t. 😅
Your previous 5YO video was the one to introduce me to your channel! I've always liked chess, but no one in my immediate environment knew how to play, so no one could teach me and I was always to shy to ask other people or to join a club, afraid that I wouldn't understand it quickly enough. But now I am finally starting to understand the game! I love the entertaining, story telling way you explain the games. Thank you!
Thank you for everything you do, it's always such a delightful part of my day to come home after a long day of work and unwind to your videos and it saddens me to see you having a tough time with the algorithm but just know that your fans will always support you no matter what! It's not much, but you deserve every bit of fortune that comes your way 🤗
Absolutely in love with this series, it really just covers every base for me and I’m sure a lot of people as well. Too adult these days? Want chess broken down in a very simplified manner? Feel like you missed out on the simple splendor of childhood? Want something easy on the mind to truly relax?ASMR chess has you covered on all fronts 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I don't play chess. I found your channel yesterday from your previous 5 year old chess video. I had never heard of you before. I've also been struggling with PTSD and none of the asmr channels I usually watch have been working for me. Not only are these incredibly comforting and relaxing... you've actually made me interested in chess. If I could just suggest... perhaps you could make an absolute beginner introductory video next? Explaining how pieces move and the rules. Even if it's short, I would really enjoy it. I love following along with these games but as I've never played before... now I want to learn from the beginning.
I have made a video where I explain all the rules - you can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/J3XfI0ZBH34/видео.htmlsi=gemcxKHHEBwkVTb8 I should probably make a video like "I Explain The Rules of Chess Like You Are 5 Years Old" but until I get that done you can use the one I've already made :) hope you enjoy! Have a nice day!
The first video of this series has quickly become one of my favorite asmr videos. You have no idea how excited I was when I saw this new one being posted. I really hope that you continue making videos like these, they are so comforting in a way that I can hardly explain.
I love how gentle and calm you are. This video was genuinely both informative and comforting in a way I can't really explain, except for feeling like a kid again. Oh, and Deborah The Dragon is absolutely fantastic. 🐉🌟 💜
these are so amazing. PLEASE make more. they're like, my happy place. i feel all safe and happy, plus i'm learning! i love this so much. please please please. more.
I used to be in Chess Club way back in middle school, I loved it a lot. Unfortunately, I didn't get many chances to play Chess after that and fell out of it, but since finding your stuff, I've become tempted to buy a Chess board! I love listening while I work. Amazing stuff. :)
These videos knock me THE FUCK out and i LOVE IT! literally have been on loop on the previous "5 year old" video because i keep falling asleep and never see the end. Which HEY! All good, i have insomnia amongst other stuff and childhood trauma so this thing heals me AND makes me sleepy. (Small context is my abuser taught me the basics of chess but like many things the correlation of the abuse ruins many things so it helps so much to be taught like I'm 5 again without the influence and presence of my abuser ❤️)
These videos are great!! I've always been interested in chess, but never really managed to get the hang of it. The previous video was so helpful and relaxing and I'm sure this one will be too🥰
i found your channel through the first “explaining like you’re five” video, and i’ve since watched about half of your videos. for some reason, chess strategies never stuck in my head until i heard you explain them. it helps that your voice is incredibly relaxing… i love your channel, and i please hope you don’t stop the videos ❤
I go to Oxford University and I am so so horrifically burnt out and tired. I cannot express how nice it is being spoken to like a child. I feel smart for once haha 😅 thank you so much for these videos, I love them!
my dad recently passed away and he was the one who taught me how to play chess when I was little 🤍 these videos have been so relaxing and lovely 💤💘 thank you 🙏🏼
These are so comforting and tingly!!! As someone who grew up with an absent father and a neglectful mother, this tickles a part of my brain that really needed this
I have never seen chess explained in such a fun and easy to understand way. Everyone that tried to explain chess to me always made me feel stupid. Weirdly…explaining chess to me like I’m 5 years old doesn’t make me feel stupid, but highlights how fun chess can be. No one EVER talks about the fun of chess. This is the first time I’ve realised…. “Yeah. Chess should be fun…cause it’s a GAME”
this video series has genuinely helped me understand chess theory so well ,, like the adorable metaphors/analogies are so memorable and your videos already break things down in such a coherent, simple, and incredibly informative way ---!!!!
I’ve been watching the other one every night I love it so much! I can’t believe there’s another one! Being talked to so simply, so sweetly, it’s the kind of comfort from actually being 5 years old. Absolutely love these videos and I hope this turns into a regular series!💕
Just wanted to say that I started watching your channel because my partner is very very into chess and I’ve always wanted to share that interest with him but I struggle to enjoy chess because I don’t understand it. These videos in this style are not only relaxing but have helped me understand chess so much better and encourage me to play the game more often and get better at the game so me and my partner have something fun to enjoy together ❤ thank you for your amazing work!
Yay! I was hoping for a part two of explaining like the viewer is a five year old, it's so calming and nice to be able to fall asleep to it but also learn chess🤗
I forgot to say yesterday but great video! I've been watching your videos for a couple days now and already I've unintentionally learned some of the rules of chess. I think the way you explain things in your videos about Judit Polgar have definitely helped me understand.
DUDE I LOVE THESE!! they're super silly, but so comforting :'-) also, i've found myself understanding chess way more now, so that's cool. thank you for everything you do, you're awesome! :D
i love these so much. it feels like an actual explanation that makes sense to me. you explain it in a simplified version, but you do not make me feel less than due to my lack of understanding. thank you for this. i’m making some progress in my understanding of chess and i’m relaxing whilst doing so. ❤️❤️❤️😄😄😄🙏🙏🙏
"If you wish to doze off, that is perfectly fine to do." me staying as awake as possible because it would be rude to fall asleep when someone is teaching me something: "yes sir :]"
I have never had much interest in chess before. I always found it really overwhelming and stressful. But I stumbled on your last explaining chess like your 5 video randomly yesterday and I get it. It may seem silly but you explaining strategies with the toys not only was understandable to me but also helped me realise why people love this game so much. Thanks for the amazing content and I would love to see more like this.
I’ve watched the other video like 5 nights in a row now. I’m not sure why I love these but I just do and I’m so glad you made another. Thank you so much!! :))
I REALLY hope this becomes a continuing series, these videos are so relaxing and comforting. Silly as the concept is, its actually quite nice to listen to chess so simplified :)
I have never cared about chess at all, I’ve never even THOUGHT about chess. It seemed way beyond my skill level and understanding, HOWEVER, the first video before this one caught my attention and it’s changed how I view chess! These are so relaxing and I can see your passion through these videos! They are so fun! I’m so invested in following what Judit did! You have inspired me to try to learn this game! I’m going to be terrible, but at least I’ll be prepared 🐧🐙🐼🐉
I'm so happy that you are going to try chess out! Remember that chess is all about the journey and not about the destination! Even Judit Polgar started out being terrible at the game - everybody did! Just enjoy it and keep a learner's mind and you will have a great time with this wonderful game!
Love this becoming a series! And as always love seeing more Judit Polgar content! Also, totally fallen in love with the white and black pieces on a white and brown board. Not sure if I can afford the world chess set quite yet but I hope to match your setup one day!
I literally was about to rewatch your first explain like you were 5 video to fall asleep and then you posted this one. I’m so excited this one’s focusing on the ideas!
i really enjoy the way you tell stories and explain strategies but i don't really understand much of chess, so these "explaining like youre 5 years old" videos are my favourite, would love to see more of them if you're up for it!
YESSSS, this is my favorite series by far lol. I actually learned a lot from the last one and beat one of my friends. When all they had was a bishop on the black spaces I thought of the black and white panda thing and put all of my important pieces on the white ones before checkmating lol
in all honesty idkl what it is about this concept but it makes me feel exra safe and cozy that i've reached a point that i'm kinda ashamed of it. regardless, absolutely love it, if you enjoy doing these- i personally will probably choose these over "the normal" ones since they yoink me into a completely different headspace with extra safety somehow
Indeed, 11 years old.
