my dad abandoned me when i was around 12 years old, maybe younger… one of my memories with him was playing chess against him, time and time again, he had a completely glass set and he would beat me every time, one of the most rewarding memories of my life was finally check mating him out of sheer luck.
This video is fantastic. From the lighting, explanation, video quality and pace, truly one of your greatest productions to date. Thank you for all you do!
Happy to see the opening theory videos making a comeback. Would be delighted to see more opening systems get the two-video treatment you've done a few times in the past-one video on the main line, a second on interesting variations and traps.
I would probably have included the Fried Liver Attack and made it a top 8, but that's not a bad list either. The Fried Liver is a very strong beginner opening but do not, ever, even think about using it if you're above 1200.
great video, i would love to see puzzles (hard)/study with historical stuff like my prince my prince, don't sacrifice your queen sacrifice your rook :)
I tried the fishing pole trap many times from one of your earlier videos, but nobody falls for that anymore at my level and you just end up in a worse position. Later I learned that playing normal against the Ruy Lopez is tricky enough with all the different ways they may think they can capture de pawn on e5
@@kamikazexd11 when you get to a certain level most of this won’t work anymore - but particularly the fishing pole pattern is useful in many positions.
@@emkr777 yeah it was a quick draft WOE. I played against a couple of B/W enchantments with the boros aggro, so I can't pinpoint exactly what game it was. I hope you had fun! And thanks for sharing that we played. Do you watch the channel normally or did you just search my name up because we played? Have a great day!
Option 8: Flip the board
Option 9: Beat up your opponent
@@zapadap1328 with the flipped chessboard
Gerry's option
Option 10: Sacrifice the king and win the game
Option 11: King takes King
19:40 Ah yes, the classic "King and Rook switch gambit", pays off everytime.
There is something about explaining things + asmr that is just perfect
No messing around, straight in to the traps to beat your oponent. Love the no nonsense ;)

I have recently taken a break from chess but it is always fun to vicariously play through you.

I can't wait to fall asleep to this tonight!! Especially because I've been getting caught in these traps a lot recently and really gotta study up.

New asmr Chess Video? There goes my free time 😂🖤
Another fantastic video!
Your videos are so educative 🙂
I recognized the killer queen move trap from your 2 knights Caro-Kann video.
great video, i would love to see puzzles (hard)/study with historical stuff like my prince my prince, don't sacrifice your queen sacrifice your rook :)
Excellent video. And thank you for not whispering.
I been using your channel to beat up on people on my chess app 😂 thanks and keep it up 💪🏿💯👍🏿

This puts me to sleep every. Damn. Time.
Thanks!
Thank you very much for your support!
10:56 when they go f3/f4 you can just play Bc5#. Your idea works, but its way faster in my opinion
Bc5 is not checkmate because of d4
I could swear his videos effect me more than melatonin.
Can you do a video on the alien gambit? Pretty please 🙏
A penas entiendo el inglés, pero estoy lista para pedirle una revancha a mi hermano 😈.
Epic
i just played bloomborrow limited against you on mtga
Wow that is so cool! Which game was it? And thanks for playing with me :)
@@ASMRChess you drafted boros and I had black white enchantments
@@ASMRChess my fault it was wilds quick draft not blooom

what are some good strategies if you're playing as black? Do you have a video dedicated to those?
@@victoriancuddler I have some, yes. I would start with my video on the Sicilian and my video on the Budapest :)

Please give the winning pov
2:05 as a caro-kann player I would not play Nd7 there...that's not theory. 😂
I also play it and yea Nd7 is theory , it's just not the main line. There are things called 'side lines'.
27:37...you said thats checkmate..thats not..
