- Weird Al serenades Joe Franklyn on his show - first aired November 24, 1986. I don't have the original show on tape; this clip is cobbled from several different sources - an audience video from when it was shown at ALCON '98, a Joe Franklyn "best of" clip show, and an mp3 of the music file that's been floating around for a while.

I once saw weird Al on The Joe Franklin Show along with Victoria Jackson. The two of them sang My Generation, by The Who, with weird Al playing accordion. It was hysterical! At the end of the song, weird Al took the accordion and smashed it over his head just like Pete Townsend smashing one of his guitars. I could never find that show on RUclips.
RIP Joe Franklin. Thank you, Mr. Yankovic for directing me here.
Heh, I liked the quote from Jimi Hendrix's "Hey Joe" at the end there. It was a bit random, but fit for a song about Joe Franklyn.
Oh, that was awesome! You know, I've heard that song for a couple of years now, but never knew there was video to go with it. Thanks so much for posting this!
Thanks man!!! I've been wanting to see this for a REALLY long time. Wow I didn't Jims hair was that short in 1986.
RIP, Joe Franklin. :(
"Hey Joe... where you goin' with that gun in your hands... Silly Jooooeee"
I love how he makes him out to be some evil killer for no reason at the end.
Ryan Schneer Don't waste your breath trying to communicate with anyone under 30. They live on planet Delusion.
