Yep late wife and I saw Al at the Navy Pier Skyline Stage in Chicago that tour and being absolutely Al fanatics knew it wasn't on any media we knew of so figured it was coming out on the next album. Tried searching when it didn't and nothing would come up on it. Last saw Al in 2012 as my brother got us tickets as a Christmas gift in 2011 that as a happy accident would fall on our 14th anniversary May of 2012 and hoped for this song but was either out of rotation or done under certain concert conditions. Tragically it wouldn't be til the following year about 2 months after she was gone that the song showed up in a search and only because someone posted a cover on RUclips that first I learned the actual title of the song ( I'd been going off using my Heart Will Go On and searching under The Toppings Will Go On) as well as that it was a concert exclusive song.
Yeah, there are some songs he has not released on albums. He has said he likes to keep some songs as concert only because otherwise why would anyone come when they could just buy his albums? It gives them bonus stuff. Maybe as time goes on, he could take a few of these and finally release them. That's what I would do.
+Alexander Brown Celine Dion is one of the few artists that have refused his parodies. She wouldn't let him and according to Al, was actually insulting in her negative response. I'm not sure she's really known for having a sense of humor :-) Of course he can legally perform them, and this was a gut buster of this tour. My family saw him twice on the Poodle Hat tour (Wallingford, CT in 2003 and Uncasville, CT in 2004) so I got to see this one twice - it's always fun to experience live-only material.
this is the concert I went to back to back on the year 2000 I never knew the name of the song until now on that night I met miles jay he was the son of the man who played base I'm in the band stepping in for his dad
I saw him do this at Cal State San Bernardino a number of years ago. It was awesome. I just wish he could do the whole song for an album, but I guess he can't get a copyright release.
All I can see in my mind's eye is Milo Murphy in a delivery guy outfit, milking the giant cow as he makes his way down a dramatically lit street of Danville.
More often its not about not getting a copyright release, it is because he could only think of one funny verse and not sustain the joke thru a full length song
