Lady Paula. I love, love, love you! I've been watching you since the first time I saw you on the Food Network. My Mama is from Macon. We lost her a few years ago and I enjoy watching you now more than ever. You remind me so much of her! Your voice, your southern accent and your mannerissms mostly. Mom would make deviled ham (from the can you spoke of) with just cream cheese. She'd put it in fridge to "set up" but it never lasted long enough to, because us kids ate it, just the way it was. On bread, on crackers and with a spoon by itself. You're lovely. Thank you for your RUclips channel. I look forward to watching more of you and learning new recipes.
Watching these videos mean so much. You're like a friend and discussing recipes and events is a great distraction. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Looks devine Ms Paula .. ham sandwiches are my favorite. The children and I just love these casual kitchen videos. It's our favorite thing to do together.. we watch your videos and get to cooking it's my favorite time of the day to spend with my family ..thank you. Keeping y'all in our prayers and thoughts up north.
Growing up in the 70s and 80s, my mother always had those little cans of Ham Salad with the little red devil on the wrapper...she loved that stuff. Thanks for bringing back good memories, may my Mom RIP, 27 year now...can’t believe it’s been this long. Thanks for the memories. My husband loves ham salad too, and he’s a Southerner so he loves him some country ham, lol.
Yes dear Paula Never never never stop that’s wonderful news. It wouldn’t be a sunshiny day if I don’t get to see you and share some Love from your kitchen to mine 😁👍💕💕💕💕💕💕
I came across your video for the first time! This is nice, a relaxed time, hanging out in the kitchen, having fun with friends, eating good food, and having fun. That is how I feel, like I was just hanging out with you at your house! I love it!
Spent about 2 hours looking for a ham salad recipe I could convince my hubby to eat (without adding or changing a bunch of ingredients.) This one will work wonders!!!! Yeesssss!!!!! Thank you.
Just wanted to say thank you for bringing this show to RUclips! I absolutely love how unpolished and real it is. Thanks for bringing us into your home to show us your recipes and share some laughs.
Miss Paula Please NEVER STOP!Since you are just a ray of Sunshine to me & ya'll make my day! For a new name, how about "BEST DISHES FROM PAULA'S KITCHEN"? My Mom used to feed me Deviled Ham on white bread w/Mayo ( HAD TO BE HELLMANN'S!) & also Liverwurst with onions, mustard on white bread. This was in kindergarten! I'm 54 & haven't had either since then lol. 🌻🌷💐🌼🦋 Super Big Hugs, Anita from NJ
The recipe seems easy to make and sounds good to eat. I'm going to try it. Please don't stop making your short recipe videos! I really like them and so do my friends
That little bundle of love so happy and tail a wagging. I remember devil ham sandwiches with mayo and cream cheese. We were poor and we would corned beef and potatoes burritos and creamed tuna on toast. Homemade tortillas and beans.
How about "Waking up with Paula"? I think it's a great title because I have seen so many people comment that they drink their coffee every morning (myself included) and they watch your video first thing in the morning.
My mother used to add a can of the deviled ham to egg salad with mayo and pepper and we would eat with saltines. It was good!! Thank you for your show my Sister and I love you!!
I just love your RUclips shows you’ve been making since this crazy Covid thing started. My mom passed years ago, but when I tune in every night it feels like I’m visiting with family & everything will be ok. Thank you so much 💕
I cannot wait to try that Deviled Ham Spread, I have been looking for years to find that somewhere and now you have my heart happy! Thank you so so much. I can't wait to try it.....we have to watch sodium and carbs but I don't see a huge problem at all if I figure it into serving sizes........loved this and I can taste it already. Yummm I am so excited to see you post this! I am so glad you have this channel, it is a total treat each time I tune in! You and I share the same birth year and just a couple months apart so I am not surprised we love much of the same comfort food from our youthful memories. :-) God bless and thank you so so much! Blessings PS: Where can I find your salt and pepper and spice keeper. I love that!
Paula, this is really good if you swap out 4oz of homemade pimento cheese for the cream cheese. It makes it a little stiffer to put on crackers. So if you're tailgating it's a lot less messy. Great recipe and thank you. P.S. Devilled Ham is one of those things that I grab if I break out the old photos. It's a good memory from when you were little and you'd get a devilled ham sandwich for lunch - on toasted bread with brown mustard.
Of course this recipe would be the day after I picked up my order at the grocery store! I’m not psychic but I see another trip to the store in the near future!
I like “Paula Bites” better than “Princess Bites” any day! Thank you for making these videos, I sure do enjoy watching y’all. You’re the best Paula! Always & forever!
Ms. Paula, thank you for this recipe. I grew up with deviled ham. It is absolutely one of my favorite comfort foods. My husband and kids make fun of me, but they don't realize what they're missin~ I like the canned deviled ham on soft white bread cut down the center not corner to corner. Because that is how Ma did it!
You know, I’ve never made ham salad, but, now I certainly will. This looks and sounds just wonderful. Every holiday we have lots of extra ham and this is the answer! Thanks once again, Paula, for a wonderful recipe! ⚡️💖⚡️
I think you should just call the show "Cookin' with Paula & Friends" you are Paula and we're the friends!! Oh my goodness I love country ham! This looks so yummy.
I remember when Oscar Mayer used to sell a delicious sandwich spread made from ground bologna, relish, some dry mustard, a little vinegar (no mayo strangely enough) - encased in a cylindrical shaped clear plastic package, crimped at both ends. I always thought it was ham salad. Turns out it was just good old bologna. I always kept plenty in the Meats and Cheese drawer at the bottom of the fridge. I called it a "Ready When You Are Lunch in a Tube." Thank you Paula Deen for allowing me to share.
I think Quarantine cooking is still appropriate since so many of us are working from home now- I sure feel quarantined! And I So look forward to your videos. Love you and Bobby cooking together.
Paula, I have so enjoyed you during the time of quarantine! You have brought joy and rest from a stressful time. I appreciate you being your authentic self! My name suggestion is Princess Bites with Paula Deen.

Also, could this be made with chicken (white or dark meat, pieces or ground chicken)? I use the Underwood Deviled Chicken in several recipes.
Yeah, I remember eating deviled ham and potted meat out of the can. I very seldom eat those now. Way to salty for me. Sometimes I eat those Vienna sausages, but again, have to be careful about the salt.
Shore is Good Cookin with Paula...i just watched the show you cooked Uncle Bubbas Shore is Good Seafood Dip and the name for your show came to me! The love for your family and for food has brought me so much joy and has brought me to tears watching you cook with your boys and grandbabies. It makes me remember cooking with my daddy and Pawpaw and my Mammy. I absolutely love watching yall! Much love from the Texas Gulf Coast!❤
My mom would have been so happy to see you. She passed in 2010 and let me tell you she was still making all kinds of things from your books. She loved to make dump cakes and such. We all think you got a bad rap. She made a Bailey's cake with the Bailey's frosting and let me lick the betters and bowl. I got a good buzz from that. I know she would have loved to see you one more time. This brings back suck great memories for me. Thank you Paula
I made this ham spread this morning. I ate a little bit on crackers. It was delicious. It is in the fridge chilling now. Thank you for the recipe. BTW, it did not need salt at all.
Had the ingredients on hand so made this morning. With the saltiness of both hams I wanted to add a bit of sweetness so not having sweet relish on hand, added some homemade chowchow (about 2 tbsp and wow was so delicious !!! Just on a plain saltine cracker. That was my breakfast. Should be better tomorrow after flavors mingle overnight.......Thanks Paula
Miss Paula, my husband loves Underwood deviled ham ! I'm going to make him this and see if I can't tantalize those taste buds of his! Wish me luck! I know I'm gonna love it. I love ham salad with sweet pickles in the mix! Yum.
My mom use to make this but with baloney! I remember asking mom why she called it ham salad when it was baloney? I was quickly put in my place...”It’s whatever I Want to call it”! So baloney became ham salad 🥗! Yum...and we grew up on “Miracle Whip”...not Mayo...I live Mayo but some things need the other...bless you Paula! Love this show!
