A group from Royal Enfield Owners Group NZ 🇳🇿 travelled to UK to visit Hitchcocks next time they should add Haywards into the trip.

Great walk round. We still need dealerships like these, even if brands like RE don’t think we do. You should send this to RE, to show how dedicated they are, and how loyal we are to these dealers. 😉
Absolutely we do 😊 if the force these out RE will not benefit when their bikes are in the mix with all the other brands who are are starting to make cheaper bikes with better performance and technology and before any says it, I know that’s not the point 😁 thanks Ian 😊

Good video , nice to see an old fashioned bike shop , not many left.
I've often wondered what they had hidden in that tiny showroom on the corner . A Glorious Goldie and a Naughty Norton . [ Long Range Fastback Commando lookalike ] . Plus a Sublime Sunbeam S7 on a stand in the main workshop , they must keep it for when there's a power outage and they need a light to be able to see .🤔.
Did I spy a Hunter lurking somewhere ? If I was to buy a 350 , I think it would be one of these . But what would I hunt ? Pesky wabbits ? They'd probably outrun me . But that's OK .
Marvelous camera work too by Baby TAYM , Freddie and Monica had better watch out .

Very, very nice... You are like kid in candy shop, TAYM .. As you know, my classic is red like ER and uncle Stu too.. I am in contact with Hitchcock Motorcycles for some upgrades too. It is VERY VERY hard not to buy everything in the classic 350 section. Self restrain training 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This comment is just for you Baby TAYM, and I hope your Dad doesn't read it, tell him it's private. Do you like the name you've been given because I think you should choose it, not your Dad? Just let us know. You are doing a really great job on the filming, you show talent and I hope you are either full time or being paid well for what you're doing. You're using great camera angles, framing the shot well and zooming in brilliantly. Your Dad's a great star in your films, he's a natural and it's good to see him properly and not rare glimpses of his reflection! Tell your Dad it was a great walk around Hayward's and a superb commentary too!

A wonderful walk around and so good to see all of the Royal Enfields (and the Norton Commando 850), some of them in action. It made me realise that this really is the golden age of motorcycling, even though it seems that the end is in sight. Spoked wheels on the blacked out Interceptor makes sense where roads are often rainy and dirty I think. I am looking forward to the full documentary version and of course your ride on the Super-"Meecha" 😁👍

What a great video, really looking forward to the full ‘History of Hayward’s’ one !
I’ve found them to be an excellent garage and dealership, very friendly and utterly professional from my very first dealings with them. In fact, the experience was so positive that it steered me towards Royal Enfield rather than anything else.
The team stayed late one Saturday for me to arrive with an electrical problem, that was sorted out without fuss or computers, just good old fashioned knowledge and experience.
I can’t praise the team highly enough, and will be back for another Royal Enfield once I can decide which one I want … all this releasing one every three months or so is doing my indecisiveness no good at all !
The tea is excellent too !

Nice clip Mr. Taym, proper shop, proper dealer, proper service, just how it used to be in the good old days and how it should be now. When will bigger companies realize the personal touch is what we, the customer, want, expect even....and we`ll keep coming back and we`ll recommend to others. Loved the Commando, and the Honda 550 4 but my heart goes to the Super Meteor, but it would have to be gloss black and chrome. Been looking for the video of the Barletta and the run in to work, you mentioned it in your Sun/Mon mutter, said it would be tomorrow, I thought Mon/Tue, have I missed it or is my medication playing with my head.🛵🤕🤒😬

Mr TAYM, fantastic video and my compliments to the videographer. It's nice to understand the history behind this dealership. In fact, as we age, I seem to have a greater appreciation for history. One minor suggestion is to sort out some of the non riding audio, I found it difficult to hear at times. Again, brilliant camera work and I'm looking forward to more of the new format.

Excellent video. My RE dealer is like that too. I actually drive 3 hours to get there, make a day of it,but the prices and the people make it worth the trip. Taking the day off Friday as the temperature is supposed to be 80F. Haven't been able to ride much so taking advantage of the nice weather. Oh btw, you didn't mention the wonderful Moto Guzzi sign over the workshop door 😂. Have a great day.

I remember going to Haywards when they were a Guzzi dealer and having a test on the Breva 1100. Good bike but didn't buy one as it was too heavy. Nice quaint old shop, thanks for the video. Did your daughter ride Wendy there?

Curious as to when Haywards shifted from Haverhill (nice to hear it pronounced properly by the way). I can remember a motorbike shop in Haverhill in the sixties but can't remember it's name. Used to drive the road from Sible to Cambridge through Haverhill often.

Good to see you again TAYM baby TAYM is pretty good at this camera work you'll have to give her a full time job. Lovely to see these type of shops still going in this modern world of cookie cutter dealerships with fancy showrooms that all look the same I'll bet that workshop smells marvellous. Go to see and sit on the Super Meteor yesterday and it is definitely a nice bike and very well finished but having sat on it it's definitely not for me.

@@TAYM I think our thoughts are very similar on this TAYM. After seeing it in the flesh yesterday and getting to sit on it I have reached some conclusions. Yes it is a nice bike and some levels of fit and finish are improved but I found it to be a bit of a weighty lump for a 650 and I found it is quite wide in the waist which is not going to make it as accessible as the 350 meteor and I could not flat foot it which for a "cruiser" is not great. I also found that unlike most cruisers the riding position is that you very much sit on this bike rather than in it which again is not really a cruiser trait. I would like to ride it but sadly no demos available but I really don't think it is a bike for me.
@@Grumpy-Goblin yes, it could be a bike created to fix a problem that didn’t need fixing and in doing so created a problem. An oddity perhaps 🤔

Yes! I keep seeing the dealership in the videos when you take bikes out, but it's going to be great to know the history of it. Was the building built for them or was it something before the dealership? Let us know! Looking forward to the documentary.

Saw a old guy on a Monkey 🐵🐒today on Highway 50 in middle of farm country must of been traveling between cities,keen.I followed HIM at 80kmh for about 15km who says you can't tour on a Monkey 🐵 🐒😂🤣.
