- A special day for Royal Enfield Cambridge. Not only was it the Royal Enfield Owners club meeting, Gordon May & Jacqueline Furneaux and a 100th Birthday for Haywards owner, Jack Hayward (Mr DJ Hayward).

That JAP was nice.Reminded me of flatmates Dad's home built bike with 1930-40's era H.R.D 840cc Single Rotary Hoe engine in a early 1950's Ariel frame.A real Ankle Breaker that one my Dickie ankles brakes just looking at it🤣.

Cracking bikes TAYM and 100 years old but do you remember a TV program back in the 90’s guy called Len Vale Onslow, had a bike shop still biking there everyday at 100+ think he had built his own bike called the SOS or Super Onslow Special and that’s what he rode each day.

Glad Jack is still getting around. 100.... hope he drank and smoked cigarettes most of his life, would give me hope!😂 as I worked with the geriatric community in my job, the older they are, the better they were.... mostly with their comments and sayings. My favorite saying that my grandmother used when it was cold outside, " it's cold enough to knock the stink off you" . Anyways, happy hump day!
