It is because of the habit of playing fast and difficult parts that remain engraved in his mind like muscle memory, so much so that even the easiest song will seem difficult to you because of how slow it is, it happens to me.
The amount of skill this actually takes is insane. This is basically 1:1 with a REAL drumset, except for the fact that with a real drumset you don't have to hit them all perfectly like this.

The reason it plays an extra note is because when you hot one of the pads, the vibration will go to another pad and it'll think you hot it with a stick
