Seriously. One of my biggest regrets is not seeing them while he was still with us. My best friend while I was in college got us tickets to the show where they recorded the LBC dvd and I ended up not being able to go because my dad had arranged for us to visit the schools I was supposed to transfer too. Had gotten plane tickets and hotel reservations in hawaii. So I couldnt go. Then the Rev passed away. Fuck. Regrets regrets regrets.
@@andrewvasquez7872 I was supposed to see them the October before he passed in Alabama (my uncle bought us tickets) and i ended up starting my first job and was unable to attend. I was upset and then DEVASTATED when he passed. I saw them in 2017 with Metallica and I BAWLED at the concert because I felt like something was missing.
I saw them in 2008 in Montana. It was a mind blowing experience.

My heart aches for anyone who missed out seeing Jimmy play live or meeting him. Unbelievable experience-it made going to shows in later years So hard. He was absolutely unreal live.

The drummers name was Rev and unfortunately he has long since passed. RIP to one of the best drummers of our time. But in my opinion he is always in my top three.

The Rev was known as the “One Take Wonder.” I believe this recording is one of those one takes.
He recorded their entire first album, Sounding The Seventh Trumpet, in a single take start to finish. Has to be my favourite drummer of all time.
Rev and Vinne Paul will forever by my top 2 drummers R.I.P. to both of them and Dimebag. We truly miss them all

The amazing drummer on this recording is Jimmy the Rev Sullivan. rest in peace Jimmy we all miss you so much period no one will ever compare to the masterful drumming of that guy! Everybody has their gifts but Jimmy just had something otherworldly! He was the perfect madman for sure! We all miss him, it's really cool to know that you think so highly of his drumming coming from a different musical background!

I too was driving to work where my Spotify recommended Avenged Sevenfold “Beast and the Harlot” where I was like wtf??.. that song and Jimmy’s drumming was what sold me to A7X. Had me listening to Beast and the Harlot on loop til I got into “Bat Country”, “Save Me”, Not Ready to Die”, and “Buried Alive”.. been a fan since! Been to 3 Live shows and they killed it everytime!

Yes Brooks wackerman is amazing! And their album the stage is phenomenal with drums. But you know what? I believe sinister Gates helps write those drum parts :-)

I think "Beast and the Harlot" would be a good song to listen too for the drums as well. This drummer was "The Rev" he inspired me to start drumming myself. Unfortunately he died, but he is highly ranked as one of the best modern day drummers. Also, I found you from MGK reactions, and MGK has the singer of Avenged Sevenfold on a feature of "Save Me" off Lace Up, btw.

Honesty is imperative and yes the ones who play rock can tell when a reaction is real or fake. Nobody nods through an entire song on the first listen. Sometimes you just need to rewind and re-listen. avenged sevenfold is my favorite band of all time since I heard unholy confessions ~2003 or so, I could recommend almost all of their songs and I was going to leave a list but the way you just said how much you leave the vocals and the instrumental talents so much all I want to say is if you want to blow your mind further check out the lyrics for any of their songs you really enjoy, no shame in not understanding lyrics at some points and they're incredible. Tons of biblical references as well, IE their name lol. Amazing vid as always man, much love. RIP Rev.
