Seriously. One of my biggest regrets is not seeing them while he was still with us. My best friend while I was in college got us tickets to the show where they recorded the LBC dvd and I ended up not being able to go because my dad had arranged for us to visit the schools I was supposed to transfer too. Had gotten plane tickets and hotel reservations in hawaii. So I couldnt go. Then the Rev passed away. Fuck. Regrets regrets regrets.
@@andrewvasquez7872 I was supposed to see them the October before he passed in Alabama (my uncle bought us tickets) and i ended up starting my first job and was unable to attend. I was upset and then DEVASTATED when he passed. I saw them in 2017 with Metallica and I BAWLED at the concert because I felt like something was missing.
My heart aches for anyone who missed out seeing Jimmy play live or meeting him. Unbelievable experience-it made going to shows in later years So hard. He was absolutely unreal live.
The drummers name was Rev and unfortunately he has long since passed. RIP to one of the best drummers of our time. But in my opinion he is always in my top three.
I love that years after his passing, a man who knows nothing about the band, and less about the genre can stop in his tracks and recognize the talent. Good ear my man, and Great reaction!
Avenged Sevenfold song are definitely a rollercoaster ride. My son introduced me to them in 2010...just after Jimmy died. Loved them ever since. I have the deathbat on my motorcycle!!!
Jimmy "the Rev" Sullivan was an INCREDIBLE drummer and the world lost a beautiful soul and extraordinary musician with him. I cried for DAYS. Rock on foREVer Sullivan. ❤❤❤
I respect you as a reaction star. The fact that you can admit some of your reactions may have been fan service is super respectable. Ypu are still my fave thank you for the honesty from a fan.
We need more of you + avenged sevenfold. Easily one of the best drummers EVER no lie as someone who has played forever. The Rev was 🐐 status .... Give us more FAM!!!
Fuck, man. You just made me miss Jimmy so much more hearing a newcomer to the genre being so hype on his parts. Truly, he was one of the greats and such an inspiration. Rip
Bro lmk tell you something I saw a few reactions to this and no one even mentioned the drums. I knew when I saw u uploaded this it’d be the first thing you heard. Unreal
The Rev also wrote several of their songs before he passed, and sang backup vocals while he drummed. We miss you, Jimmy! You were the best of us. 🔥🔥🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥
The amazing drummer on this recording is Jimmy the Rev Sullivan. rest in peace Jimmy we all miss you so much period no one will ever compare to the masterful drumming of that guy! Everybody has their gifts but Jimmy just had something otherworldly! He was the perfect madman for sure! We all miss him, it's really cool to know that you think so highly of his drumming coming from a different musical background!
His beauty was too much for this world. "They say all beauty must die, I say it just moves on." "A moment seen through those eyes, crystal blue disguise." Something from Nightmare, can't pull up the title right now. He's in every note of that album. It was so hard to listen to for the longest time.
I too was driving to work where my Spotify recommended Avenged Sevenfold “Beast and the Harlot” where I was like wtf??.. that song and Jimmy’s drumming was what sold me to A7X. Had me listening to Beast and the Harlot on loop til I got into “Bat Country”, “Save Me”, Not Ready to Die”, and “Buried Alive”.. been a fan since! Been to 3 Live shows and they killed it everytime!
Much love homie. Enjoyed rocking with you. It seems like you are fully able to buy into rock/metal/theme. I think its time to watch/listen to a Ghost music video.
@9600GTMAN Year Zero isn't intro song unless that persons a metal head and has a better grip for theatrical metal in my opinion. Have you seen them live yet? I have and it was my favorite concert experience ever.
Hey boss you gotta check out the "Live in the LBC" performance. It's very high quality and shows off all of their individual skills quite well RIP Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan
Rest In Peace the rev. Gotta check out some of their older discography to really hear him rip the drums. “Beast and the Harlot” is a great one drum wise. Love the channel!
been ghost following for a while now. But as a rock/metal and rap fan, definitely appreciate your honesty about reactions. Always knew you were a straight up dude. Love the reactions man, and thank you for reacting to avenged sevenfold!
Dude, seen other videos of tours (more recent) and liked them, bit seeing how you said it was not your stile before this so genuinely but seeing future videos realy made me respect you for not just dumping the genera, props to you
that drumming is The Rev, he was amazing but sadly he is no longer with us... check out Beast And The Harlot and Scream for more killer drumming from him, or The Stage and Sunny Disposition for killer drumming from their new drummer Brooks Wackerman
Yes Brooks wackerman is amazing! And their album the stage is phenomenal with drums. But you know what? I believe sinister Gates helps write those drum parts :-)
@@TheBlindGuardian20 I'm sure Syn and even Matt help write some drum parts, but we wouldn't have The Stage if it weren't for Brooks' insane talent, no one else could do that better
As a Avenged Sevenfold fan and a percussionist or drummer I’m really that you gave credit to Jimmy. He was on another level, very unfortunate that he passed away but everything will be ok. Hopefully 😊👍
I think "Beast and the Harlot" would be a good song to listen too for the drums as well. This drummer was "The Rev" he inspired me to start drumming myself. Unfortunately he died, but he is highly ranked as one of the best modern day drummers. Also, I found you from MGK reactions, and MGK has the singer of Avenged Sevenfold on a feature of "Save Me" off Lace Up, btw.
I know you didn't see it but I suggested them. I'm glad you listened to your patreon. One song that has serious bass bump it's called "Scream" do that one in the car if you have decent bass system.
Hi bro, new to the channel! A7X is one of my favourite bands ever. The Whole band at that point in time was: M. The drummer is Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. Sadly he passed away, but will never be forgotten. If you want a song live, check out literally any song from their concert Live from the LBC
avenged sevenfold is my favorite band of all time since I heard unholy confessions ~2003 or so, I could recommend almost all of their songs and I was going to leave a list but the way you just said how much you leave the vocals and the instrumental talents so much all I want to say is if you want to blow your mind further check out the lyrics for any of their songs you really enjoy, no shame in not understanding lyrics at some points and they're incredible. Tons of biblical references as well, IE their name lol. Amazing vid as always man, much love. RIP Rev.
Man listen The Rev was the GOAT with double pedal and solid drum fills. This reaction is definitely real facts. Bro do you react to other drummers as well? Would love for you to react to one of my videos
Bro as much as I enjoyed this vid -- your energy, your personality, your kindness all shine through -- I'm gonna have to be the one to say DON'T DRIVE AND RECORD!!! Dude, the videos aren't as important as your safety! Please take care of yourself dude
I love this reaction because this is the 1st song I heard of A7X and the drummer is what made me go holy shit. And then I heard the guitar solo and they made me go holy shit times 2!. This band has been my favorite since and when the drummer, The REV JIMMY SULLIVAN, died it broke my heart. Such a good guy and arguably the best drummer on the planet when he was playing. Thank you LFR!

The Rev is still the best!!!!
The Rev will forever be in my top 3 favorite drummers to ever play! R.I.P
Avenged Sevenfold “Almost Easy”
It’s my favorite song too but I am a huge A7X fan. Godsmack is my fav band though 🙂
Love that one
Best song ever. The rev was amazing.
The Rev was known as the “One Take Wonder.” I believe this recording is one of those one takes.
He recorded their entire first album, Sounding The Seventh Trumpet, in a single take start to finish. Has to be my favourite drummer of all time.
Rev and Vinne Paul will forever by my top 2 drummers R.I.P. to both of them and Dimebag. We truly miss them all
RIP The Rev!!!

Yes!!
He needs to see beast and the harlot He will loose his cool
"What part of the drum is that?"
He's hitting the snare and bass drum at the exact same time. Kinda like a blast beat minus a cymbal.
