Aw, Russ...you missed the Burma Shave signs! (There's one set east of where you started and another west of town) I'm surprised to hear you've never eaten at the Snow Cap. For me no visit to Seligman is complete without stopping there for a malt and some onion rings (and a few practical jokes at the register 🙂).
You say the town saved itself--well you absolutely have to give credit to Angel Delgadillo when it comes to that. He's responsible not just for the rebirth of Seligman but Route 66 in Arizona and in turn the rest of the of the states along the way. I had the pleasure of meeting him years ago, shaking his hand and thanking him for his efforts.
It's great to see all the vintage cars and everyone out enjoying the event, And the virtual cruise down main street in the Rat Rod...very cool! Until next time, happy trails!

We stayed at that KOA, got pushed off the road by wind and needed a shelter place. It was pretty expensive, but most KOA are. But it was nice and safe.
We were just there, we go just to eat and shop at Westside Lilos restaurant it has the greatest carrot cake ever. You need to stop in there next time. I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for taking us along.

That rat rod was too cool for school.
i took a trip from phoenix, down to Lake Havasu then up to Oatman and Oatman hwy...then a few of those historical rte 66 cities. It was on a Sunday so that town was just closed down...I was kinda disappointed so it was cool to see the inside of the shops I took pics of as I drove by...thanks for actually walking through them. Although they are just souvenir shops, still cool to see these historical places.
Just wanted to let you know that I live in Portland and I'm up in Northwest Washington and because of your drive through highway 20 which was beautiful.I just went through the portion from wenatchee to bellingham but going the other way and it was stunning. Thank you appreciate it❤

Hi Russ, the pronunciation of 'route' is always 'root' here in the UK - but what is the US accepted pronunciation in Route 66. Is it 'root' or 'rowt' ? I have been enjoying your travels - many thanks.
“Root” is my preferred pronunciation but I think it depends on where you grew up; what part of the United States. Did they say “Root” or “Rowt?” 😃 I grew up Midwest, so we said “ROOT.” Cheers from Old Highway 66 in central Okahoma! ✅
