The Grand Canyon is one of the few things in life that did not disappoint me. I would recommend driving in while it is dark, going to one of the less crowded observation points, and watching the sun come up. The colors of the rocks are amplified tenfold when the sun is at a low angle.
Sorry you didn't get the opportunity to hike down, Jacob. Our high school Senior trip in 1980 was to the Grand Canyon wherein we hiked down Bright Angel and came back up via Kaibab. At the bottom is the raging Colorado River, and when you look up, the walls of the Grand Canyon are so majestic. On the hike back up, at the first plateau the Moon shined ever so brightly. Forty-two (42) years later, I still remember like it was yesterday.
Love the Grand Canyon. Been there 3 times. My dad worked at the North rim as a youth and young adult. Haven't been to the South rim yet. My great great grandfather helped open the North rim to tourism.
Your adventure look so fun! I want to come sometime with you! Lol ! love your videos! You stops are great! I always wanted to go on R 66, but I'm awaiting knee surgery. But this was so great watching you go to these adventure. Thank you so much for taking us along.
Only been to the Grand Canyon once, and it truly is one of the seven wonders of the world, never seen anything like that in my life soo beautiful, anyone who stands near the edge wants their heads examined, soo dangerous, Thankyou Jacob x
Those standing close to the edge without railings are the some of the ones that end up dying because they get blown over the edge by a gust of unexpected wind. Crazy that someone is willing to risk their live for the "perfect" selfie!
I can't wait to visit the Grand Canyon hopefully soon. I heard people cry when seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time. I do believe it being you said it got emotional when were there.
We visited the Grand Canyon in 2015 as part of our honeymoon. I (Steve) was there as a kid. And it was Sandees 1st time there. Amazing is all we can say 🙂. Also the 66 root beer is awesome
Best memories I’m going to have with my mother is the Grand Canyon. Thank you for showing and expressing how grand it really is as best as you could. Don’t know when the next time I’ll visit the canyons
I was just at the Grand Canyon this past February break and it was incredible. Jacob. I want to also say that i really love your videos because i love how you like going to different theme parks, historical sites and haunted attractions. Keep up the amazing work!🤠
My mother wanted to see the Grand Canyon, but my father said if you've seen one hole in the ground, you've seen them all. That was in 1951, while they were on their honeymoon. I think my mother would have enjoyed it. I hope to see it someday.
I would love to see you visit the James Dean Gallery and Museum in Fairmount Indiana. The owners are a wonderful couple that have amazing stories to tell. From hanging out with David Bowie and Lou Reed, to designing Meatloafs costumes for a tour. I can’t suggest it enough
We did a similar trip back in September using the America the Beautiful Pass and we actually took the pacific coast highway up to Yosemite. Was definitely one of the best parts of the trip, beautiful place!
Dein Kanal ist wirklich eine Offenbarung! Ich verfolge jedes Video mit Begeisterung... Amerika ist wirklich ein verdammt schönes Land. Viele Grüße aus Deutschland! Bist ein super Typ!
You are aiding my eyes to see the Grand Canyon. I spent the weekend in Granada, Spain and saw the sunset on the Sierra Nevada. The Tyrol alps come close to matching the natural beauty of seeing the sunset on the Alhambra and the mountains with my naked eyes (well glasses, but IRL-I guess)
I visited the Grand Canyon as a kid and was truly impressed. I don't know if they still do it but we took donkeys down through part of the canyon. It always amazes me at peoples imagination in setting up road side attractions and restaurants and you found some very interesting ones. Safe travels. Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤
Awesome video!!! So glad you finally got to see the Grand Canyon with some great weather. Loved that you showed more of the old cars you came across this time! Thanks so much and safe driving
After living in Southern California all my life & Never having been there. I had seen pictures & saw no big deal...last February I stood Exactly where you are. Seeing it in Real Life was an "OH My" experience...I could Not Believe the Vastness as you called it. A picture could Never do it Justice...I am Forever Grateful that I went to see it in Person. ❤ safe Travels Jacob 🙏
....And the north rim of the Grand is another experience; different, and also magnificent.....one can stay for hours in one place there, and never be bored....it is indeed, Grand
So glad that your third try was rewarding with the canyon. Between that and the sights through petrified forest and the colorful mountains, I think this is some of the best natural beauty you’ve shown us on this channel.
I loved the wennier mobile get to see it and go inside here in new castle va oh My goodness the grand canyon was so beautiful and amazing love the stores and I love root beer 🍻 my favorite drink
Definitely need to see the Grand Canyon in person to truly appreciate it. There's a fun steam train ride from Williams that goes right to the Grand Canyon. You spend about 3 hours at the GC before returning. fYI, there's a few deaths per year at GC, falling or unprepared hikers. You could always visit Sequoia National Park when you are in California.
Those Grand Canyon views were stunning ❤️ I'm glad you got to see it clearly. Third time lucky! The raven sitting on the raven sign was cool and absolutely loved the cute cats 😻 that toilet phone booth made me chuckle 😂 Thanks Jacob and best wishes ☀️
This was A Perfect Day Meant for you The Weather was A Clear one The Grand Canyon is An Amazing Natural Wonder So Very Beautiful there. You Had A Bit of A Bonus Day With the Weiner mobile car being there Also so Cool. Looking at the Grand Canyon Drew some tears for me My Grandfather nearly Fell to his death into the Canyon trying to get A Better view. The Star themed Rooms at the Motel Were Amazing. It Was A Pure Pleasure of Another Really Great Day With Lots of Great Filming this Was A Treasure my Friend Really Love this One. Have A Great night Cant wait for our next meet-up tomorrow. I Picked up All 4 of the Carpet Bagger Pins on Etsy today can't wait to have them in 2 Weeks Yeahhh😃 The Dark Ride Pin being my Favorite They're All Special to me
It's a little off Route 66, but you should visit Tio's Tacos in Riverside, CA. They have a huge folk art garden outside that would be perfect for the channel.
Spectacular views! Awesome what Nature can do The Elk are Gorgeous. Everything in this vlog is Beautiful Thank you so much for Sharing.. Stay Safe God Bless you
Rocky Mountain National park in Colorado, Glacier national park in Montana, Yellow Stone in Wyoming, Yosemite/Sequoia/ Death Valley/ Joshua Tree in California.
Just a beautiful site I also wish I was there. If that was the 3rd time you tried to see it and then you finally did it I would of stayed but I understand 👍
You should visit Death Valley National Park - $30 entrance fee but maybe not in the full heat of summer lol…120-130 degrees… Spring is the best time to go there with wildflowers. It would be a nice place to visit on your way back east from Cali if you have time. Another option is Joshua Tree NP in SoCal desert with also a $30 entrance fee. Both would be amazing to see you visit.
(National Park Suggestion, Attempt 1) You have to visit Mesa Verde National Park in the South-West of Colorado. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it's definitely worth a visit. It is the best-preserved Ancestral Puebloan archaeological sites in the whole of the United States. Ancient cliff dwellings, beautiful canyons, tonnes of giftshops, museums, information centres etc.
Jacob, you should come to Fairmont, Indiana and visit James Dean's grave sometime...👌🏼💯✔ You probably should come during James Dean Days, that's when the festival is going on during the last week of September in Fairmont and Gas City...👍🏼
Canyon Coaster Adventure Park in Williams has opened but, I suggest next time you're in the area to see more of Flagstaff and Sedona. Flagstaff has so many museums and has the Lowell Observatory where Pluto was discovered. Neil Armstrong and crew trained there frequently. Sedona & Oak Creek Canyon speak for themselves). Great content man!
Hello Jacob Thank you for the incredible views of the majestic Grand Canyon. Enjoyed this video very much Loved the James Dean Motel room. Another awesome video in the bag
Jacob, you wondered what that helicopter was dragging along under it. That 's a water bag that helicopters carry under them then lower the bag into the river and fill the bag up with river water then haul it to a forest fire which I'm told there's one somewhere outside the Grand Canyon that's burning just north of the canyon
I've only seen this Wonder of the World through your eye's. Thank You Jacob.
Finally! Jacob gets to see the Grand Canyon!
That's crazy how the grand canyon looks like a painting while it's behind you.
The Grand Canyon is one of the few things in life that did not disappoint me. I would recommend driving in while it is dark, going to one of the less crowded observation points, and watching the sun come up. The colors of the rocks are amplified tenfold when the sun is at a low angle.

Good ol Grand Canyon; smell the goodness
I had the pleasure on meeting Angel. He lived up to his name.
You are killing me with the baby rattlers 🤣
Love the Grand Canyon. Been there 3 times. My dad worked at the North rim as a youth and young adult. Haven't been to the South rim yet. My great great grandfather helped open the North rim to tourism.

I have been to the Grand Canyon twice and pictures and videos don't do it justice. It needs to be seen in person.
Haircut Harry has a great video with Mr. Delgadillo. He was such an inspiration in the barber community as well as helping save much Rt. 66 history.
👍👍👍👍😎 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
Thank you so much for stopping at Angel’s barber shop ! You made my day Jacob !!
Third time is the charm! Glad you finally got to experience the Grand Canyon.
Maybe another trip you can visit the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Less crowded and very beautiful too.
Only been to the Grand Canyon once, and it truly is one of the seven wonders of the world, never seen anything like that in my life soo beautiful, anyone who stands near the edge wants their heads examined, soo dangerous, Thankyou Jacob x
Back when I was in AZ with USAF, I visited Grand Canyon with my late brother.
I went back after he passed away and scatted some of his ashes there.
Wow that's awesome 👌 👏
Those standing close to the edge without railings are the some of the ones that end up dying because they get blown over the edge by a gust of unexpected wind. Crazy that someone is willing to risk their live for the "perfect" selfie!
JACOB!! That's how people fall in! I'm glad you're safe. Hey we wear the same color crocs!
The third time is the charm. I'm happy you finally got to see the magnificence of the grand canyon.
I worked at the Grand Canyon in 2004,2010-11 and 2019. I miss it.
It's great he finally saw the Grand Canyon for real this time.
I can't wait to visit the Grand Canyon hopefully soon. I heard people cry when seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time. I do believe it being you said it got emotional when were there.

when he came towards the camera and said follow me….I jumped and screamed 😂 I wasn’t expecting that 🤣
My mother wanted to see the Grand Canyon, but my father said if you've seen one hole in the ground, you've seen them all. That was in 1951, while they were on their honeymoon. I think my mother would have enjoyed it. I hope to see it someday.
I was at the Grand Canyon last year and it's like a picture painted across a big screen
I would love to see you visit the James Dean Gallery and Museum in Fairmount Indiana.

Glad you made it to see the grand canyon
I lived and worked there for about 8 years
Thanks for going to the Grand Canyon loved it 👍
That pass will get you into Carlsbad Caverns. You can also use that to explore the many national parks in Utah.
Thanks again Jacob for another great video. I learn so much by following your channel. Very interesting 🧐

For your National Park pass, I would recommend Sequoia National Park. From there, you can get into Kings Canyon National Park.
Really enjoying the route 66 videos! Love that shot of that train at 23:50.

Your card is welcome at Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon, both in Utah.
Me and my wife took the Grand Canyon Train up. It is very fun
That was amazing! Never had much of a desire to see it until now.

Joshua Tree is on the way back from California. I've read that spring is the best time to visit.

Just a beautiful site I also wish I was there. If that was the 3rd time you tried to see it and then you finally did it I would of stayed but I understand 👍
I always think of poor Joe Dirt when his parents left him there. A grand place to be but not deserted.
I'm going to AZ next week 😊 I'm glad to see this new video is of AZ
Suggestion: Yosemite (California).
Thanks for the video bud! Cameras never do the Grand Canyon's size real justice
You should visit Death Valley National Park - $30 entrance fee but maybe not in the full heat of summer lol…120-130 degrees…
Spring is the best time to go there with wildflowers. It would be a nice place to visit on your way back east from Cali if you have time.
Another option is Joshua Tree NP in SoCal desert with also a $30 entrance fee. Both would be amazing to see you visit.
Although the last time I've been to the Grand Canyon was in the early 2000s, that experience is still etched into my mind as a good experience.

Enjoying the road trip sir thanks for the videos !!
Jacob look online at the National Park Service for all the National Parks and prices.
I've seen that weenie mobile twice and they gave me a weenie whistle.
Now I can't stop thinking about who James Dean would have played in To Kill a Mockingbird.
You can make some cool buttons with the bottle caps!
I've been to the Grand Canyon twice. Once as a kid and once a couple years ago. I was able to appreciate it much more as an adult.
No way would I step out on a ledge! I got weak knees just watching you. Yikes!!! I have decided to become a patreon member today. Good job, Jacob!
I actually felt sick 😱
Hey Jacob, I was at the Grand Canyon too at the exact same time! I actually walked past you and I saw you there!
Hello Jacob Thank you for the incredible views of the majestic Grand Canyon. Enjoyed this video very much Loved the James Dean Motel room. Another awesome video in the bag
Crater lake and lava beds national monument are both great choices for your pass
You got a hit up the glass bridge next time at the Grand Canyon carpet bagger
Jacob, you wondered what that helicopter was dragging along under it. That 's a water bag that helicopters carry under them then lower the bag into the river and fill the bag up with river water then haul it to a forest fire which I'm told there's one somewhere outside the Grand Canyon that's burning just north of the canyon
If you have never been to Death Valley I strongly encourage you to go and if possible check out ubehebe crater. The racetrack and Scotty's Castle.
Grand canyon third times a charm man
