Dude.....you had to have filmed this with a video camera on a t.v commercial. Which makes this at last 10 years old. Jesus Christ the nostalgia. Most people wont consiser this "rare footage" but holy crap, this brought me back to childhood days of $30.00 season passes and a whole summer with my bestfriends booked up with Geauga Lake. Thank you for uploading this...
I remember when I first heard about this, and how much money Six Flags was going to invest in the park, I was thinking Cedar Point and King's Island are in trouble. Funny how things turned out.
exactly, like they werent gonna build two cedar points, they couldve left it alone or moved the rides and built another amusement park, now we have to travel to sandusky or cinncinatti or pa to another park.
+Lisa Davila right, its just sad, thats a landmark for ohio and it was close. I really hope they sell it someone and build a new, better amusement park. atleast if it was still around, we couldve rotated from there and cedar point. this commercial is heartbreaking.
Some say Cedar Fair bought it just to close it a couple years later to eliminate competition with Cedar Point and Kings Island. Which makes sense, they never made very many capital investments. They immidiately shut down the animal park and the old water park, added a small water park where the animal park was and that was it.
Batman knight flight might be back to its original name bc six flags purchased cedar fair so kings dominion most likely is part of the six flags chain now
It became six flags worlds of Adventure in 2001 combining the SeaWorld side with the park. It was then sold to Cedar Fair (owner of parks like cedar point kings island etc.) and returned to the name Geauga lake in 2004. The company built a new water park on the Seaworld side in 2005 called Wildwater Kingdom. Geauga lake then closed forever in 2007, and some of the rides moved to other parks while many were scrapped. Finally in 2016, Wildwater Kingdom closed forever. The land where the parks stood is still owned by Cedar Fair and is currently up for sale. The land is supposed to be turned into a shopping district as well as apartments but nothing is confirmed and no construction has started.

We were hella stoked when this commercial came out.
Lived up to the hype btw.
Six Flags was absolutely incredible
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the beginning of the end.
"This is the thrill that never ends"- But a mere 7 years later, Geauga Lake had been sold, reverted back to its old name, and closed.
....."Let's Begin!"

Zachary Koedyker you know he could have just used a VCR, this commercial was aired in 2000
@dega4560 dega4560 Wow that's cheap. I think Kings Island tickets were 50 bucks back then.
I remember when I first heard about this, and how much money Six Flags was going to invest in the park, I was thinking Cedar Point and King's Island are in trouble. Funny how things turned out.
I loved every moment I spent in this park! Best birthday ever!
I don't care for the way Cedar Fair handled the closing but I agree Six Flags was the company that killed it.
PianoShapedObject I agree. They definitely should have taken Sea World's offer. It probably would still be open today.
It wasn’t six flags fault
Six Flags’ fault my ass, it was Cedar’s fault
Would've love to visit this place, too bad it's now gone and it was all Cedar fair's fault
It was amazing while it lasted. This commercial embodies the Apex … dream come true then night mare😢 .. gift & curse😔
This song hurts the most for these parks that are no longer open
"4 New Coasters, a Free new water park!" And we wonder why Six Flags went into financial RUIN not too long after this
i got goosebumps watching this.
I will definetly ride dominator when I go to kings dominion! Bc i live near kings dominion
I don't get why cedar fair bought the park from six flags just to close it a couple years later

your right and the park would still be around if six flags would of sold to sea world

Cedar Fair must have been the real villain
Six Flags in 2004 and Cedar Fair in 2007 Closed Down Forever Geauga Lake in Aurora, Ohio USA 🇺🇲 EST. 1888-2007.
interesting that they used the same song for the six flags new orleans transformation ad
kinda seems like this song is cursed
Six flags Great Adventure used this when they added 25 new rides and attractions in one year. That park is still going strong
Batman knight flight might be back to its original name bc six flags purchased cedar fair so kings dominion most likely is part of the six flags chain now
How to say fuck you to "Cedar Fair"
Number 1:
What's the name of that song used in this commercial? It's been used for like 5 years by six flags.
The only "A Park Transformed" ads are this and SF New Orleans
Lindsay Yale Entertainment and six flags in the other countries
Oh and Six Flags Darien Lake
What happened to Six Flags Ohio? I’m trying to figure that out. Anyone?

Six Flags Ohio and Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in Aurora, Ohio USA 🇺🇲.
Year please?
Rainbow Star Productions 2000-2001
Actually 1999-2000.
Biggest mistake 😢 should have always stayed Geauga Lake
Note; This Is All Fictional. Commercial For Six Flags Magic Mountain
Six Flags Ohio and Six Flags Worlds of Adventure Buy Sea World of Ohio Beginning of The End of Geauga Lake Amusement Park in Aurora, Ohio USA 🇺🇲.
