Hey there! This week we're moving our release schedule to Saturdays and Sundays, and to celebrate we're doing a video on Six Flags! Not all the Six Flags ads, but all the ads featuring a mascot loved by some and terrifying to others: Mr. Six!

Same, I’m actually about to start working at Six Flags Over Texas, and I started thinking about these commercials, especially the flag o meter ones, I always saw those all the time when I was younger
I just had a weird old old memory that I hadn’t thought about in years and needed to find it

was watching a thing on amusement parks and got a reference to Mr Six...
"well, I have to pause this and go watch ALL of the old commercials...my inner child DEMANDS it"

Though it took a ton of telling myself "I should look these up" before I finally did and found this vid.
I remember one of these ads when I was a kid and it actually got me to want to come to six flags. Plus, the song was fire. They should bring this type of marketing back.

I've never been to SixFlags, mainly because I'm still waiting for an old man to dance in front of a bus to invite me.

Man I miss Mr. Six. Not only was he funny, but he and his commercials were legendary.
It’s kinda sad to see the six flags New Orleans ads knowing that the 2004 season would be their last 😔
They did open for the 2005 season, but the season--and the park's life--was cut short that August.

Loved Mr. Six. Sad most people don't know it was called Six Flags of Texas for the six national flags that have flown over Texas.
Even I didn't know until I watched a youtube documentary about Six Flags. Pretty neat stuff and a wild history.

It was the coolest commercial in the whole world. As a kid and adult.
Six Flags: Magic Mountain, California was the first time in my life I rode a roller coaster with a loop. The rest of that day was spent on every ride in the park. I had so much fun. These ads are so awesome.

I really liked Mr. Six flags. I remember going to six flags New England for my birthday and the rain that day was really bad. Mr. Six flags is what inspired me to go to six flags.
