Loved this game as a kid and still do to this day! Great video which covered all the main points while pointing out why people still find this game special to this day!
I recently played super sluggers again when i was home from college and was just surprised at how in depth the game is. The chemistry system alone makes this so much fun and unique. I'd choose this over Mario Superstar Baseball on the gamecube a million times over.
Great analysis, I wish I could play this game but it was never brought to Europe and the gamecube baseball game is super expensive so can't play that as well
I like how sluggers is more acessible to start than superstar because batting is a bit simplified while adding mechanics with friendship to add more twists in both offense and defense. I prefer superstar because i like it focus more on baseball and character knowledge While superstar focus on building a good chemistry team to do all the new mechanics. Same game foundation but different playstyle. That's why i like playing both. While other mario sports I prefer playing only one game like charged and power tennis.
@@Jacobs_retros my brother's an I play it every time we are all home. Some of our games are hilariously epic. Also if you've never heard the noise he creates toadsworth getting hit by the train in Yoshi Park is one of the funniest noises you will ever hear
I’m sorry but the GameCube one is way better than the Wii one. Sluggers was very simplified, superstar is way more complex and harder and having the unknown in that game made it better figuring out players and strategies. Also the motion control became overrated by the time it came out
Something you missed is that the item roulette triggers based upon if the current batter has chemistry with the batter next in line. It's not random
I never realized that. Thanks for the info

We don’t disrespect super sluggers blooper in this house 😤
He my favorite
@ BLOOPER LOVER=BALL KNOWER
Tailoring your team in this game was a great feature! Nothing is better then having a balance of good defense/offense.

Thank you!

Heck yeah
Super Slugger’s roster is what most Mario Kart fans wish we had in that series!
I live in Europe where base-ball is not that popular so thank you for the discovery, I never heard of this game before.
The mario stadium music makes me wanna dance when i play baseball in real life 🕺🕺🕺
I played the gamecube one but never this game, great vid!
Just to let you know Daisy Cruiser actually has more than just the tables, there are cheep cheeps and blooper tilts the ship
9:07 wait till you see Blooper's star pitch lmfao
Idk it’s basically Pro Yakyuu Famista with Mario characters and it’s one the very easy side of difficulty

I’ve played some of the GameCube one but I feel like Super Sluggers has more personality. Also the motion controls work very well and I enjoy them.

Mario Superstar Baseball is good as well
