As someone who lives next door to a bison ranch in WY, home of Yellowstone Pk, I can tell you the stories about idiot tourists are not exaggerated. Having also grown up around them in the Rockies, they can literally turn their bulky bodies on a dime. Something I've always been aware of and choose to respect. While on field assignment for the USGS, I was snapping pics of bison grazing in small groups which would be used for a poster. Very, very expensive cam and center of my concern. I had been accompanied by the ranch Mgr and at my signal, he stopped and I jumped out, and started shooting. After five minutes or so stopped to see if I had enough shots and the feeling that my personal space had been invaded overwhelmed me. Turning my head ever so slightly over my right shoulder I saw the hind quarters of a yearling bison. My body followed my head and I found myself face to face with him, staring into a pair of the most breath-taking dark eyes framed by gorgeous lush eyelashes. I froze and he froze. Staring at each other. Finally, I realized I'd left the truck's door open and took a giant leap backward, and then one more back into the truck slamming the door. He trotted right over and kinda forlornly gazed in the window. As we drove off the Mgr finally stopped laughing, saying Damn, a real life bison stare down! I couldn't help thinking, no kidding, at least it wasn't a stomp down.
Wonderful! I have so many questions but sadly don't see this as a good forum for asking. Just to say "thank you" to your King's Guard for their service and for your sacrifice of time and worry. From a fellow military parent.
What does it take for them to get in??? My little is 7 and has severe ADHD. We have no idea how he will be once he is older. He seems to have a lot of things amiss with him that don't have a diagnosis. We hope, of course, that he will be fine and that he's just a late bloomer due to his rough start in life. Anywho...he's born here in the US but he has dual citizenship with the UK, and he will be moving there in June after school is over for this semester. Since I know literally NOTHING about the UK besides some brief history, terminology differences, and respect all around, I know nothing about the qualifications and such to become a King's Guard. What should I be looking at?? What should I teach him?? I know he would have to get his ADHD under control in order to stand still for any length of time.
If any of the horses kick out front or back and ends up seriously hurting a member of the public it's their own fault not the horse or guard who is doing brilliantly controlling the horse with one hand.
I still can’t believe the British government allows tourists to treat their soldiers like a petting zoo.🤦🏻♀️Never supposed to pet a working disability service dog. They are working. 🤷🏻♀️
Why do people disregard that these are working GUARDS. They are not there just so tourists can have their ruddy photos taken. Do you not see these guards taking note of ALL people milling around. They are there to defend the crown. And they do a wonderful job considering the disrespect and stupidity the ‘hordes’ show them.
I truly believe the horses should NOT be touched by the public! It just seems so disrespectful to the Guards and the horses are ON DUTY! Such beautiful majestic animals!
When I was in London we did not touch the horses. As you can tell by my favorite saying ‘I’m so busy I don’t know if I lost my horse or found a rope’, I know some horses aren’t keen on being touched by strangers a hundred times in an hour. But Some love it…
Shouldn't have a horse there period .. if the guards wanna do their thing then stand there and do it .. don't need a horse to sit on holding a sword thsts just for show.
People need to understand that grabbing a horse’s reins is like grabbing someone’s steering wheel when they’re driving! It astounds me that people don’t realise this!
Very well said Linda.. They don't realise how sensitive a horses mouth is & once it has been tugged on it "hardens".. No good for a skilled rider or being a working horse. Also painful I would imagine when done repeatedly. Annoying some tourists assume the Guards are simply cardboard cut outs for their own photo op egos.
It astounds me that people can't read the signs on the wall where it says don't touch the reins and letting little kids stand so close to the horses mouth
Hey, it took a group of concerned people; locals in the London area and from around the world plus local medias to even get the British Military to add "DON'T TOUCH THE REINS" to the existing two Signs! Now YOU want the British Military to put up 2 or more new Signs!!!😂
Hi I’ve just watched the amazing control that the soldier had over his horse. It must have been upsetting for the horse with all these visitors being there. I admire the patients the soldier has over his horse. Thank you for showing us the work these soldiers and horses have to do. I’m at home in Yorkshire just now.
Went to York last year, beautiful place it is, very lucky to live in that part of the country. York Minster was absolutely stunning, and the castle high up on the hill. I did'nt get to go in either as only had so much to spend on my day out.pension does'nt go far. But I did take lots of great photos that are happy memories of a great day. Definitely visit again when feeling a bit better, maybe a weekend in B&B, only so much you can see in one day is'nt there, need at least 3 to fit in everywhere you missed. I never got to see the VIKING museum as it was closed day I went for some reason, hopefully next time?
It still amazes me how rude tourists can be; especially when two Kings Guardsmen are busy conversing and the pushy Ken’s and Karen’s can’t wait just a few minutes to get their pic😢taken. Disgusting rude😠
Im a old Marine but it woud be a honor to visit and the guards have my up most resoect for looking sharp and the beautiful horse also, i guess thats the Marine in me is to show respect to them without touching the horse , SF
Thq for yr service Sir. Personally I think the tourists don’t consider the guards as soldiers. To the British soldiers, sorry that yll hv to put up with rude and entitled Karen’s & Ken’s. Thank you for your service too.
I love horses so much. However ; I’m always respectful of their size & power & never take liberties. These are working horses with their mounted guards & respect has to be shown at all times ❤
The horses are amazing, I’m sure that no matter the training, to just stand there, so still…with all the noise, people, traffic etc the guards also, to sit on their horses without moving, changing position, must get painful..thank you for sharing this video. I’m a 71 year old grandmother from Australia, and I don’t think I’ll ever see is for myself, so thank you.
Those guardsmen have so much patience when it comes to ignorant and rude people who think it’s okay to just poke at the horses. Keep your hands to yourself and if you choose not to, then you may have to deal with the consequences of getting kicked, pushed and/or bitten by a horse. You could also end up being stomped on and those guards are NOT there to protect you from your own stupidity. And for the love of god, PLEASE STOP PUTTING YOUR KIDS IN HARMS WAY JUST FOR A DAMN PICTURE! 🙄😠
I have a rule: keep your f🤬cking hands off my horses. It's for your own safety and, depending on which horse of mine you touch, the consequences could be dire for you. Wish the Royal Guard had the same rule.
The horse suddenly looked so vulnerable in your long shots, when he freaked out he was upset by something across the road. Horses do need reassurance in this noisy setting crammed with people and traffic. Well done the Guard for calming him down. 💙🌱.
INCORRECT - If you're talking about the occurrence at about 15:15 - the horse didn't like to back into the guard house. Another guard tried to help line the horse up to back in. If you'll notice, the horse circled around to the back (so walk straight in - first time at about 14:30) two different times instead of backing in. Perhaps a quirk of this horse. He was never spooked.
Wouldn’t it be nice if just a handful of people throughout the day, would actually pay a compliment to the Guard on how impeccable he looks and the Beautiful Horses there?! I know they cannot speak/answer, but it would just be lovely and appreciated no doubt by the Guards. I think they look stunning. So Proud to be British 🙏🇬🇧🏴❤
They need to focus and not be interrupted by thousands of people saying great job, they need peace to concentrate and no vocal interruptions from protecting. Same as a security guard at a venue, do you think they would want thousands of people daily chatting to them. Better to just show them respect and stop touching the horses and stand your distance for a picture. Same as people are not going to keep approaching the men with their guns guarding either.
@darlenechandler2403 What do you think these mounted Troopers are guarding? Theirs is just a ceremonial role for the tourists. The armed police are the real guards of this Army complex.
I have been watching these Kings Guards videos for about 3 weeks. I enjoy them very much. I love the different uniforms that the various guards wear. They are so attractive. From the USA 🇺🇸
Am l seeing people surreptitiously feeding unknown things to horses? I hope not, as they could suffer colic.. painful, dangerous..l don't think tourists really need to handle these horses..a discreet distancing barrier would be appropriate, in my opinion.
I went 30 years ago and watching this I see several differences. The general public are more entitled, selfish, disrespectful, scruffy, slovenly, unkempt and they get much closer and are much more touchy feely. The Guards and their horses and their deportment are just as immaculate.
These are not just any police, they are special units. The whole area around Buckingham Palace, Palace of Westminster, Whitehall, and Downing Street is a special high level security zone. These security people aren't there just to deal with tourists, they are trained to deal with terrorist attacks, riots, etc and secure government premises and personnel, Royal Family, Members of Parliament, etc. Only elite soldiers and police are able to get these assignments.
The patience and tolerance, the guards and the majestic horses have for these absolute idiots who treat it like some kind of Disneyland is beyond belief. I will do far worse than any of these gods say or do any of these tourists touched my horse. They certainly wouldn’t be touching another.
And these same kind of people who go to Disney are rude and pushy to the other people who are there! They will push & back you out of you spot if they want too! They will even come in between you & your child if you don’t hold on to their hands tight. All ages very rude! We never plan on going again!
I think the idiot tourists who support the British economy should go to Disneyland instead. I am sure that most of the tourists are not aware that these are working soldiers. They look ceremonial.if they don't want to attract tourists they should put uniformed soldiers as guards. I heard a British Woman shout out to a tourist who was petting the horse don't touch the horse. The guard shouted back it's my horse not your horse she can touch the horse. The majority of the people in these videos are respectful yet you continually call them idiots. Very disrespectful.
For those who think the horses are abused there is no country whose people love horses like Britain and the Royal family is no exception so horses are not abused.
The guards have great control over the horse. I'm surprised with all the people and sounds there aren't more accidents. Some people never saw a horse before and just don't know it's not part of a show.
Well most of them do like the attention, there's a few who don't but the humans don't usually use the moody ones for busy days and don't force a horse public facing if they're not comfy. Horse has usually three chances to quit before they let it quit. The horses absolutely can and do communicate their discomfort and the horsemen involved do pay attention and consider it. The horses shifts aren't all the long either, compared to other mounted police work. The horses are alright :)
when you think about sitting for the guard and standing for the horse being hypervigilant and submitting to a constant barrage of people that is quite a feat hats off to the guards and their spectacular mounts.
Wondering what must be going through the horses’ minds about why people keep walking up, standing beside him/her then walking away, over and over and over. The lack of purpose must be puzzling to them!
I like watching these videos. My hats off to all the young soldiers doing their duty to serve their Country. I'm sure their parents are so proud of them. I'm glad the horses don't have to stand too long on the hard pavement.❤❤❤
Bless you, soulmate of Bert. As a child, it was soft on the bit and hard on the bit. The Troopers are always soft when in the boxes and arriving and departing. Love watching them roll and cantering along the shore. Happy two-legged and four-legged Troopers.
The guards look splendid in their winter wear. The horses look brilliant, as does the beautiful Metro police officers, and their horses. Well done to the guardsman and gatesman, for calming an anxious horse, who had enough pawing by tourists who were twits.
We too can learn from these horses… they have their social structure and we humans can be very in their face rude without consideration for what we can observe.
Definitely that vehicle was spooking the horse. I agree, anybody getting near a frustrating moment, especially with an animal who is spooked, needs to back off!! Glad both guards got the horse calmed down.

I am shocked by the stupidity and laughing when being ordered back by the guard while his horse is having a hissy fit. I have been witness first hand to a close friend, on the receiving end of only a half kick by her stallion. Six operations to sow all her organs back into place and remove the spleen. All the while lapsing in and out of consciousness. She was screaming in agony all the way to the hospital in an ambulance.
Would any of these people touching the queen’s horses want people to come up to them and start handing them? Of course not! Then don’t touch the houses (or the guards!)
I'm so sorry for your friend. Yep, run-ins with horses can have very serious consequences. Having horses myself, I have many friends who've had incredibly dangerous accidents--at least three had to be airlifted to trauma centers. There was one situation where the horse was airlifted out of a canyon after the rider came off and the horse went down the mountain (thankfully both survived with minor injuries). And these are very experienced horse people who understand horse behavior. Accidents happen in the blink of an eye. The public is massively stupid when it comes to interfacing with strange animals that weigh 1,200 to 1,800 pounds.
Christ I hope she’s recovered now! I gave up riding when I realised that it wouldn’t take much to get seriously hurt. Shortly after that Christopher Reeves had his accident. I adore horses and there’s no feeling like being able to ride, but I like my body in one piece.
I love watching videos of the Horse Guard. I don't love how some tourist and others do the Horse Guard What I would love to be able to travel and go to London and see all the great places to see. Because of my health and on Oxygen I will never be able to do that. If you are blessed to be able to see London and Great Britain please be kind and patient with others I wish so much I could but never will.😊
Rain Cloud. Thank you for all the information. I don't know anything about horses. I appreciate your kindness. It's great to know the horses are treated so well. I love these videos. 😊
As an American I noticed from my very first trip to the UK how well British history is preserved. All of the wonderful museums. Preservation of so many historical sites. I think the Guides are part of that heritage and a link to that past.
If you look on RUclips there are a good few programs about how and where the UK restores buildings , from the Elizabeth Tower to farm houses and lots in-between , you can actually stop in some of them ( not Elizabeth Tower or palaces )
I agree .. these horses are pampered and cared for .. the QE knew her horses and she made sure they were healthy and happy.. they all have different personalities but are loved .. I wouldn't mind coming back as one of these horses 😁
If I am ever able to visit London, and see the horse guards, I would be in heaven. The people that don't remember that the guards and horses are on duty is so sad. That is their job!!! Not just doing it...because!!! I feel so bad for them 😢😢
Good job Guard! I would imagine those horses, no matter how trained they are, sometimes wake up on the wrong side of the stall and get sick of people, as we all do. ❤️⭐️🇨🇦
This is the first time I have seen your channel. I love your introduction and that little girl blowing a kiss to the horse (or perhaps the Guardsman or maybe both!) is precious! I have subscribed.
Люди! Проявляйте уважение к лошадям и гвардейцам! Я смотрю, у них есть награды. Это вам не шуты, чтобы на замечания, отвечать дурацким смехом. Их служба достойна огромного уважения!👍💖
Excellent team work between the Gatesman and the Boxman on controlling that beautiful horse. The MOD police also played their part. Thank you for this video.
The horse had enough of the utter nonsense. I feel so bad for Brittish Guards the ignorance they put up with on the daily is mindblowing. I mean goodness they couldn't have a private chat without people taking photos really? I wonder out of the thousands of people who just go up there for photos if anyone has ever asked politely if they would be allowed to do so. And a THANK YOU for your service for gracious sakes.
Very nice. I, as well, like the lack of chatter. However, one of the others gives us the horses' names. I've learned to recognize a few of them now. Thank you. I'll have to watch both.
I have already said something but I want to say this who ever was saying something about the horse's bits from what I can see our show horse's all have different kinds of bits it all depends on what the horse is asked to do and as far as them standing in place for a hour or more doesn't hurt them,,we rode our horse's everyday for 11/2 hours and at horse shows you never know how long it will be after you get on the horse until you show it and how long it takes the Judges to decide if they like a horse sometimes they may pick 20 horse's out of a large class but there may be 10 for a final cut and they pick 5 out of those so don't worry about the Kings Guards horse's they are treated like Kings themselves ❤❤❤❤
They ignore the body language, most don’t see the body language of the horse, good indication us if the horses ears are right back it’s best not to touch them if horses ears are forward then they are more social
Because they are selfish morons without respect for the horse or the guard. Do any of them understand this is not a tourist show put on for their benefit but a working military unit and a long standing time honoured tradition.
This is a beautiful tradition the Kings guards look so dignified and the horses are so well trained under the stressful conditions of strangers wanting to approach and touch them. Its no wonder sometimes they get a bit impatient or spooked.
That first black horse is pretty chill and is fine with gentle interaction. While I have seen some real jerks, most of those people are like the rest of the world and are just drawn to the majesty of a horse. It’s overwhelming to stand in the presence of such a beautiful creature and not want to touch it. I owned horses for years and just laying a hand on the neck is wonderful. I think the guard and mostly the horse determines the limit of interaction.
I equate these horses with service dogs. They're trained for a specific purpose. Once their tack is on and they're in place, they're in work mode. You can get your photo taken next to the horses, but they don't consider you a friend. They tolerating you at best. You don't walk up to a service dog and start petting it. And Unless you're already familiar with the body language of a horse, I suggest not touching them period.
I do not think tourists should be permitted to position themselves so close to the horses or place their hands on them

You have every right to be proud! Merry Christmas!
@RainCloud848 oh ty 😊 merry Christmas to you too
As well you should. God bless.
I am not watching this anymore
Guards tell u to move people scream back like that one woman. Time to stop this
A true Horseman in charge of his mount
Non capisco tutto questo, visitatori di continuo a disturbare chi lavora,io farei pagare un ticket
@sa 3:43 llymount3979 you are talking bollocks 😅
A cardboard cutout, or a plastic horse might work for the photo
@@jandrews6254 I doubt tourists would know the difference. 😆
Yes this is not a petting zoo
I totally agree!
I truly believe the horses should NOT be touched by the public! It just seems so disrespectful to the Guards and the horses are ON DUTY! Such beautiful majestic animals!
I agree.people shouldn't touch the horses or the guardsman ❤❤
I agree with you too!
When I was in London we did not touch the horses. As you can tell by my favorite saying ‘I’m so busy I don’t know if I lost my horse or found a rope’, I know some horses aren’t keen on being touched by strangers a hundred times in an hour. But Some love it…
Gente chata! Queria ver se fossem elas q estivessem paradas e alguem fosse mexer c essa gente chata
Shouldn't have a horse there period .. if the guards wanna do their thing then stand there and do it .. don't need a horse to sit on holding a sword thsts just for show.
Thank you for your Service . Proud to be British ❤
Hello I’m from Missouri USA I wish I was British 😊
Thank them for their service and I’m an American.
What are they serving? The Royal child molesters?
People need to understand that grabbing a horse’s reins is like grabbing someone’s steering wheel when they’re driving! It astounds me that people don’t realise this!
Very well said Linda.. They don't realise how sensitive a horses mouth is & once it has been tugged on it "hardens".. No good for a skilled rider or being a working horse. Also painful I would imagine when done repeatedly. Annoying some tourists assume the Guards are simply cardboard cut outs for their own photo op egos.
Not sure they care as long as they get their photo
It astounds me that people can't read the signs on the wall where it says don't touch the reins and letting little kids stand so close to the horses mouth
@@claireturnbull7719I have said on multiple occasions that they need to put signs on both sides of where the guard is posted.
And they do it all with one hand on their swords at all times
@@lesleyairey6633 One hand on the reins and one hand on the saber. the sabers are heavy as are the helmets.
Yes the patience of the horses is amazing ...
Were there patients there? Must be a hospital.
Good manners are like hen's teeth...
@@martyzink6273 yeah the entitlement of this demographic is unreal. They think they can do what they want when they want.
When do the Kings Guards say goodnight I mean what time is quitting time for those fellows?

Im a old Marine but it woud be a honor to visit and the guards have my up most resoect for looking sharp and the beautiful horse also, i guess thats the Marine in me is to show respect to them without touching the horse , SF
Thq for yr service Sir. Personally I think the tourists don’t consider the guards as soldiers. To the British soldiers, sorry that yll hv to put up with rude and entitled Karen’s & Ken’s. Thank you for your service too.
I also want to thank you for your service.

I love horses so much. However ; I’m always respectful of their size & power & never take liberties. These are working horses with their mounted guards & respect has to be shown at all times ❤
These babes are all ~16-17hh and 1700-1900lbs 😍 prolly bigger on some of em. Irish draught horses 😍
And the different Smells of different people. Perfumes etc
I notice the moms & dads invariably put the baby/child between them & the horse.
I have seen 2 videos where the old dufuses, men & women, will put their hand in horses mouth & then act so alarmed when bitten.
Well said!
It's called MILITARY DICIPLINE ,
The horse did NOT go wild or super crazy. The animal reacted to loud, abusive, intrusive humans harassing and crowding the animal.
Whilst standing in their own poop 💩
The horse suddenly looked so vulnerable in your long shots, when he freaked out he was upset by something across the road.
Horses do need reassurance in this noisy setting crammed
with people and traffic.
@@dontworrydehappy7104 Además ya están acostumbrados al tráfico, pero un mal momento puede pasarles en cualquier instante.
The horse never went wild
It was nice of the lady who actually asked if she could pat the horse.
The horses are so well disciplined, unlike the tourists
People are ignorant!!
Oh how I agree about the tourists being disrespectful and ignorant. Don’t know how the solver
They also have more brains.
Amen
Agreed; disciplined and respectful! 😮
Never yet seen anyone turn to thank these young men for their patience, and for taking their photo without permission.
Have seen a couple - very few and far between.
It's rare but some do.
I would. It's respectful!!
I've seen a few ask permission, which is nice to see.
Definetly thank the Guards. Definetly respect them.
Yes!
From the USA 🇺🇸
.you do know this is a working barracks. The guards are on security duty. The police are actually guarding the guards. Its not Disney land.
Horse nudges the child, yet the dad sends her right back! What's wrong with people?
He's a 100 percent moron
Exactly what I was thinking
Am l seeing people surreptitiously feeding unknown things to horses? I hope not, as they could suffer colic.. painful, dangerous..l don't think tourists really need to handle these horses..a discreet distancing barrier would be appropriate, in my opinion.
Child abuse!
I like watching the Guards minding their Horses..They keep so cool when their Horse takes a little brain storm..very professional❤.
I went 30 years ago and watching this I see several differences. The general public are more entitled, selfish, disrespectful, scruffy, slovenly, unkempt and they get much closer and are much more touchy feely. The Guards and their horses and their deportment are just as immaculate.
Beautiful changing of the guards !
Those men/ women with their horses go through so much with all those tourists .
And Bod6 odours. Ummm.
So MANY people are rude, it's sad ,& worse part they don't care!
They are of low intelligence
Nice to see a solid POLICE presence there!
If you are so fearful of the horse, KEEP WALKING AND LEAVE IT ALONE! N
The patience and tolerance, the guards and the majestic horses have for these absolute idiots who treat it like some kind of Disneyland is beyond belief. I will do far worse than any of these gods say or do any of these tourists touched my horse. They certainly wouldn’t be touching another.
They act like the horse is some kind of unique, bizarre species they’ve never seen before. It’s a horse, folks. Look but not necessary to touch.
And these same kind of people who go to Disney are rude and pushy to the other people who are there! They will push & back you out of you spot if they want too! They will even come in between you & your child if you don’t hold on to their hands tight. All ages very rude! We never plan on going again!
Me too!!! Do NOT touch my horses unless I give you permission. And the reins? You are taking your life in your hands if you dare touch my reins.
Our beautiful horses are the best looked after in the uk. Please respect our soldiers/kings guards and our horses they are not toys
These people have no respect for the horse or guard. They should get back and give them room. Poor horse putting up with all this.
For those who think the horses are abused there is no country whose people love horses like Britain and the Royal family is no exception so horses are not abused.
Quand tu auras un mords dans la gueule on en reparle 👹
The King Guard do an amazing job how these soldiers put up with the public every day is beyond me.
The guards have great control over the horse. I'm surprised with all the people and sounds there aren't more accidents.
Some people never saw a horse before and just don't know it's not part of a show.
The "horse" an animal is not cooperating, but the tourist still wants his photo op!
This horse definitely likes his own space
So keep your hands off of him
Well most of them do like the attention, there's a few who don't but the humans don't usually use the moody ones for busy days and don't force a horse public facing if they're not comfy. Horse has usually three chances to quit before they let it quit. The horses absolutely can and do communicate their discomfort and the horsemen involved do pay attention and consider it. The horses shifts aren't all the long either, compared to other mounted police work.
The horses are alright :)
Such a beautiful horse and a real star. I think the horse likes the attention as it breaks up the bordem of just standing. ❤
Estos 2 guardias tienen una gran paciencia,y son muy gentiles !!
Muy bien ❤
My sons was also King Guards here in Stockholm ( Sweden )..They are working in the Swedish Airforce as pilots❤❤
when you think about sitting for the guard and standing for the horse being hypervigilant and submitting to a constant barrage of people that is quite a feat hats off to the guards and their spectacular mounts.
Wondering what must be going through the horses’ minds about why people keep walking up, standing beside him/her then walking away, over and over and over. The lack of purpose must be puzzling to them!
I so enjoy watching these horses and guards. I appreciated the love and care the guards have with them.
I like watching these videos. My hats off to all the young soldiers doing their duty to serve their Country. I'm sure their parents are so proud of them. I'm glad the horses don't have to stand too long on the hard pavement.❤❤❤
Surely there is a lot more for tourists to do in London without cluttering up the street outside Horseguards!
Sans ces touristes vous estes dans la mouise 👿👎🏿
These are some of the most well trained and pampered horses in the world !!❤😊
Bless you, soulmate of Bert.
The lorry yeah. It was big, puffing and shaking. Plus probably carying sth hazardous the horse could smell.

So sorry. give her my best as I will pray for her.
Hope she recovers from this unexpected incident. People
have no idea of the power and quickness of horses.
I don't love how some tourist and others do the Horse Guard
What I would love to be able to travel and go to London and see all the great places to see.
Because of my health and on Oxygen I will never be able to do that.

The guards and the horses deserve more respect than they get 😮
As an American I noticed from my very first trip to the UK how well British history is preserved. All of the wonderful museums. Preservation of so many historical sites. I think the Guides are part of that heritage and a link to that past.
Thanks. 🇬🇧🤝🇺🇲

Why are people visiting the king's Guard so ignorant and rude. I can't stand it specially when it's my fellow Americans setting a bad example.smh
Excellent team work between the Gatesman and the Boxman on controlling that beautiful horse. The MOD police also played their part. Thank you for this video.
Looks like this horse has a special knack and personality trait to keep these tourist away😊
Some people have ridiculous hand movements, esp those wafting in the air or touching without patting.
This horse shows a lot more restraint than some of the others.
The Horsers Has the patients of saints to be tolerant most of the time with Tourists
Why do idiots touch the horse when instinct tells you that it doesn’t want to be touched.
Maybe Princess Kate could make this one of her missions to see that safety and respect shown to these soldiers
Thank you.
This is a beautiful tradition the Kings guards look so dignified and the horses are so well trained under the stressful conditions of strangers wanting to approach and touch them. Its no wonder sometimes they get a bit impatient or spooked.
The poor horse! Has to endure all unexpected things!
See how the guard on foot, at about 7.20, pulls the mounted guards coat over the horses rump to keep him warm. 10°c the weather was then
That first black horse is pretty chill and is fine with gentle interaction.
Very patient horses with so many in theur faces
I equate these horses with service dogs. They're trained for a specific purpose. Once their tack is on and they're in place, they're in work mode. You can get your photo taken next to the horses, but they don't consider you a friend. They tolerating you at best. You don't walk up to a service dog and start petting it. And Unless you're already familiar with the body language of a horse, I suggest not touching them period.
Absolutely Beautiful Horses 🐎
Why can't people just leave them alone?
Yeah i would ask the same the horses just getting like stressed up
Because they’re idiots.
Thank you for such wonderful information.
I believe it is only respectful to ask if you may pet the horse and say thanks to the guard and horse for their service.
Much respect to both the Queens guard and the beautiful horses!!!
They only stand for one hour a day.
