The entire ‘Burn My Eyes’ album which this is from is absolute fire! MH have had a varied array of genres over the years but this album, the next one ‘The More things Change...’ and one of their more modern and arguably their masterpiece ‘The Blackening’ are all brilliant!
Davidian is definitely one of their most “popular” songs. Imperium, Old, Death Church, Ten Tonne Hammer, Halo, Aesthetics of Hate, Beautiful Mourning and Block are great places to start.

The album came out in '94, and yeah the song is about David Koresch and his cult at Waco. These guys have been around a long time, they're from Oakland so other coast, sorry. But they toured a lot with Biohazard, Pantera, etc. They were one of the big metal bands of the 90s. Not as big as Pantera or Metallica, but they were up there. I saw them at Ozzfest in '97 in Denver. They've got elements of a lot of the bands you guys talked about, but I think their drums and some recognizable sounds they use a lot with the guitars set them apart. Once you here a few of their songs you can definitely recognize them. Thanks so much for doing the video I thought you guys would like them. Most all of their stuff is raw, emotional and energetic as hell. The song Imperium is great. Really anything off their first two albums Burn My Eyes or The More Things Change are awesome. They have so much stuff over the years its hard to pick them out off the top of my head. They also do a really cool cover of Message In A Bottle I liked a lot.

As an old Norwegian metalhead who have seen 95% of your reactions, and with joy, the only Norwegian band I have seen you do is Satyricon. You have probably just forgot about Dimmu Borgir (Forces of the northern light - Live "Gateways and or very song from that concert. I promise! It will blow you away) and Emperor Live at Wachen 2006 (with strenght I burn). I am looking forward to these reactions. Have a beautiful day Trash talkers

Maybe the reason the video looks so familiar, is because they requested to the director of the video (I can't remember her name right now), take inspiration from their favorite Hip-Hop videos at the time, and... if you were into the Rap Movement in the early/mid 90's you can check those influences (Lyrically and visually: Robb, the singer, with the cornrows, the street style, walking on the streets with a Pitbull like a gang, etc.) .

I can't stand Robb Flynn (the singer) at all but I liked Machine head in the 90's and The Blackening is right up there with the top metal albums of the last generation.
I remember watching an interview of him here in Australia on Channel V saying they got rid of this drummer in the songclip because he didn't look metal enough cos fat.
Robb went with nu metal change in the very early 00's to cash in on the craze and it almost ended the band.
One of the concerts I went to, he stopped mid song to cuss out some guy up the front with hearing plugs in and for the crowd to laugh at.
Fired founding member Adam for disputed reasons.
Then says he loves antifa and everyone else are terrible people...
    Just a drop kick.
Seen em a few times in the late 90's, late 00's during blackening tour and another one a few years later here in Australia. Put on a good show though.
Their anthem was 'Halo' which is a great anthem song.
Ten Ton Hammer was their anthem in the 90's and 00's.
    Motorhead totally different.

After the popular thrash metal band Vio-lence had a falling out, Rob Flynn (guitarist singer) and Phill Demmel (guitarist) then started Machine Head, I was fortunate enough to grow up in my teens in San Leandro next to Oakland when these groups and many others where getting their starts. My first Machine Head show was in a dive bar in San Jose, still jam this entire album called Burn my eye, great reaction yall check out World in a World by Vio-lence great tune

    • @MrDickWoods
      @MrDickWoods 3 года назад +1

Your info is a little off. Phill Dimmel didn't join the band till later. Original guitarist beside Robb was Logan Mader!!
The band was formed in 1991 by vocalist/guitarist Robb Flynn and bassist Adam Duce. The band's aggressive musicianship made it one of the pioneering bands in the new wave of American heavy metal, and they are also considered to be part of the second wave of thrash metal bands from the 1990s.
