Yep John I have a home surround sound and it shuffles through songs when I am cleaning and Machine Head comes on and I am so focused and clean harder every single time! They are amazing live! Absolutely incredible!!!
I love Machine Head so much! Growing up as a skater we were about 12 when this came out in ‘94. It was absolutely incredible! Robb and Chris on drums are unreal together. Chris bangs the hell out of that kit! Seeing them live when they opened up for Pantera in ‘95 was an experience for sure. No auto tune which came out a few years later. They were incredible and a lot of people were talking about Machine Head more so than Pantera at that concert. We went to about 13 Pantera shows that summer and they opened up for 5 of them and there was no other band that could touch them as far as an opening band! They are absolutely amazing live.
The drummer is Chris Kontos he's a beast. I was hanging with him last night. He's now the drummer for Robb Flynn's first band Forbidden that recently re-formed.
This album was a go-to for me growing up. I'm 37 now and this album always takes me back. I love the vocal harmonies on I Am Your God Now (2nd to last track on this album) and BLOCK is a fucking banger! Best albums by Machine Head for me are Burn My Eyes, The More Things Change, Through The Ashes Of Empires, THE BLACKENING, Blood And Diamonds, Of Kingdom And Crown. 🤘🏻
Devil with the kings card, now I lay thee down, Sail into the black, heavy lies the crown, burning red live, blood of the zodiac.... they have a lot of great songs
I think this about the Waco incident. But..with saying that..its also loosely worded enough, that you can take it a whole bunch of ways. One of the sickest opening tracks ever. No. he doesn't sound like rob zombie bro. c'mon my guy. And..Chris kontos drumming on this album is so creative, precise, energy and smarts. His groove is all time.
I hated Machinehead when I first heard them, now they are my fav band, I have most of their merch & am planning a tattoo lol. Check out "The Locust", "Seasons Wither", "Arrows in Words from the Sky", and "Game Over". There are dozens of other bangers, but those are some highlights. Love yalls Disturbed videos too ❤
Whole album was hard as F. Especially for 94. Then they went all nu metal and sold out. Then when heavy music was popular again they played heavy stuff again but it was all contrived. But this album?...damn.
The guitarist has a band with his wife as a vocalist . She is growler and a beast . The band is ONCE HUMAN song EYE OF CHAOS . It is great . Another Machine Head songs BULLDOZER and IMPERIUM!
Machine head RAGE TO OVERCOME !!!!Fucking amazing band guys seen them 8 times now and one tour 3 hour 40 min no support just them, fucking work horse of a band listen to more it'll improve your life tenfold 🤣🤣
It doesn't matter what I'm doing at the time...when this song comes on, I do it a hell of a lot more aggressively 😅

Chris Kontos is amazing. 🖤
I was 16 when I first heard this. You can imagine.
