About time!! This is a masterpiece song.. rob the singer said it’s about people who come into your life ruin it and then just leave .. like what a plague of locusts do they come In destroy crops and move on , y’all should react to testament- more than meets the eye
I saw them at the first knotfest in Iowa about 15 years ago. Their power went out and they kept going and finished the song. He was red in the face. And the crowd got closer and tighter around the stage. They said you paid to see us and we’re finishing. The song was halo. Respect
The fact that he sings and plays the electric guitar that you mainly hear through out the whole song and it's amazing is just sweet and a lot of talent
Machine Head was definitely influenced by Pantera when they formed in the early 90's... Robb Flynn (vocals & guitar) has led the band since they debuted in 1994 w/ the album 'Burn my eyes'... hailing from Oakland, Cali. Robb Flynn often does not get his dues as a guitarist or songwriter - the man is a rhythm machine and a stellar lead guitarist. Before Machine Head, Robb Flynn was the guitarist of Bay Area thrash metal band Vio-Lence in the 80's (former Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel founded Vio-Lence) ...Vio-Lence released 3 albums ('Eternal nightmare' in 1988... 'Oppressing the masses' in 1990... and 'Nothing to gain' in 1993) before breaking up by 1994... They reformed years later. Robb Flynn left Vio-Lence in 1992 and worked to launch Machine Head... They were signed in 1994 w/ the original line-up of Flynn... Adam Duce (bass), Logan Mader (guitar) and Chris Kontos (drums)... After the debut album 'Burn my eyes'... Dave McClain (drums) joined and the 2nd album 'The more things change' was released in 1997... Despite going into 'nu-metal' on 3rd album 'The Burning Red' in 1999, Machine Head peaked in sales and got commercial airplay w/ Ahrue Luster (guitar) replacing Logan Mader. Their 4th album 'Supercharger' was an attempt to appeal to a commercial audience and it failed, selling a third of the sales of 'The Burning Red'... Ahrue Luster left the band and after some uncertainty, Machine Head added former Vio-Lence guitarist Phil Demmel in 2003 and made a spectacular comeback w/ the traditional extreme metal album 'Through the ashes of empires'. 'The Blackening' was their 6th album released in 2007 and Machine Head saw their popularity rise again and toured relentlessly on that album... "Locust" was on their 7th album 'Unto the Locust' in 2011... and it was another success. However, the band parted ways w/ founding bassist Adam Duce and he was replaced by Jared McEachern (bass) for the 2014 album 'Bloodstone & Diamonds'... There was some friction between Rob Flynn and the other members of Machine Head w/ the creative direction of the 2018 album 'Catharsis'... Both guitarist Phil Demmel and drummer Dave McClain left the band during the tour. Flynn and bassist Jared McEachern have kept Machine Head going w/ their 10th album 'Of kingdom & crown' in 2022 w/ Matt Alston (drums) joining the band in 2019... Machine Head r touring w/ guitarist Reece Scruggs.
This has always been my favorite track of theirs since it released, but now my favorite is "Kill Thy Enemies". That song is amazing and the solos with the rhythm tracks behind them are perfect.
This is a top 20 Machine Head song for me. One of my favourite bands. Check these songs out: Imperium Clenching the Fists of Dissent I Am Hell Sail into the Black Old Aesthetics of Hate (Dimebag tribute) Darkness Within Game Over The Sentinel (Judas Priest cover) Blood For Blood Underrated band.
"I Am Hell" is one of my favorites (a few of these are) and although, not a complex song, I've always loved "My Misery" off the Demon Knight soundtrack.
Love Machine Head ever since the Ten Ton Hammer album. I have a few favorites, but you have yet to react to them. Lyrically (which is so relatable) my favorite song is "In Comes the Flood". A political song that hits you right in the moneybags! It should be America's new anthem. Actually, I like our anthem, but who says we can't have two?
You guys will love Aesthetics of hate, it was written in response to an article hating on dimebag after his death. To say Machine Head were not happy about it is about as much of an understatement as it’s possible to make
i was hoping to see this band on here, soon. I signed up on Patreon but then never used it lol. It'd be really cool to see you guys start on Ra too. Awesome band. Sky by Ra
I was really into this song when it first came out. It's fun to play on guitar and even sing. His voice is right in my register. I'm not saying I'm a great singer, by the way, but the neighbors must have opinions. 😂
Absolute banger! And such a beautiful guitar solo. From their more nu-metal material you have to check out "American High" - that one will get you moving! (and as usual with Machine Head, even more so live)
Okay, so on the count of 3 everyone please repeat after me...ONE n a TWO n a "MACHINE'FUCKIN'HEAD!" "MACHINE'FUCKIN'HEAD!" and that concludes the lesson for today. Class Dismissed! Nah, I gotta say it's great to see you guys back reacting to machine head n yeah, it's an awesome song but in all honesty the album Unto to the Locust that it's off really kinda deserves to be listened to in its entirety. And Hollywood you definitely NEED to go n see em since apart from SLAYER they're one of the best live acts you'll ever fukn see
Morning guys! I love love this song!!!!! Sad it's not the official video though. It's a really good video. You should check it out! I was excited to see this reaction!💯💯💯👍🤓 The guitars in this song are badddd assss! Drums too. The whole song is soooo good!
Creeping Death from Metallica is about the final plague, killing of the first born. Metallica writes the song from the prospective of the angel of death
This is one their best songs. I like their style and they often have good bits in their songs, but too often they are overlong and lose focus. "Bulldozer" is my fave and "Alan's on Fire" but that's a cover.
Love myself some Machine Head. If ya'll love groove metal, ya'll should dive back into Lamb of God. I only see 3 reactions to them from you, unsure if you guys have more. You could pick back up with them pretty much anywhere. I suggest Memento Mori, Omerta, Ghost Walking, 512, or Now You've Got Something to Die For. I could go on but I'll leave it at that for now lol. 🤘🖤 (little bit on a LoG kick cause I just saw them live again last week 😂)
There are 3 bands I always confuse with one another despite never listening to them... Machine Head, Fear Factory and Type O Negative... No idea why...
Love the " a pretty good circle" shirt. That's hilarious
My t shirts are one of the few things I take pride in and I'm jealous of that one
That shirt is awesome!!
First thing I noticed too, that is epic haha!
Love smokey's reaction once the drumming starts. Legendary way for rapper to react to metal

Great reaction! The whole 'onto the Locust" album is a banger! One of my favorites from them! 🤘🤨🤜🦗
The fact that he sings and plays the electric guitar that you mainly hear through out the whole song and it's amazing is just sweet and a lot of talent
The ending of this song is one of the sickest things I’ve heard in my 20+ years of listening to metal

This song is straight-up fire. I really like the groove and the drums are lit.🖤🤘
“Rage against the Machine Head” 😂 I like it!!
This has always been my favorite track of theirs since it released, but now my favorite is "Kill Thy Enemies". That song is amazing and the solos with the rhythm tracks behind them are perfect.
Machine Head is still going strong. Their last album came out in 2022. Check out Slaughter The Martyr from it.

"I Am Hell" is one of my favorites (a few of these are) and although, not a complex song, I've always loved "My Misery" off the Demon Knight soundtrack.
@@smftv yeah, the bonus disc of deluxe edition of The Blackening has several great tracks. My Misery is a good one.

@@francesoxberry6816 hell yeah. Good selections.
Slauther the Martyr needs a reaction, it has EVERYTHING
Looking forward to seeing them live again. That riffs amazing. Top 3 MH for me.
I need that shirt.
Yall would love "Beneath The Silt" by Machinehead.....so damn good 🤘🤘
More machinehead react to " days turn blue to gray"
Machine Head are definitely still going strong, saw them earlier this year, they were brilliant.
The album is called The More Things Change not Ten Ton Hammer.
Next Machine Head song has to be Catharsis. The switchups are great.
Machine head “Seasons Wither”
Machine head !!! Thanks for the Reaction
Do a Sneaker Pimps 6 Underground and Prong snap ur fingers snap ur neck reaction pls. Much love!!!
Their best album hands down !!!
Saw them at Inkarceration this year and had the best performance at the festival
You guys should react to the entire album, it's just a masterpiece
You guys will love Aesthetics of hate, it was written in response to an article hating on dimebag after his death.
To say Machine Head were not happy about it is about as much of an understatement as it’s possible to make
You guys need to hear their track “Be Still and Know!” Absolute gym rager
I think Darkness within is my fave from them 😁
I use the solo from this as my ringtone
i was hoping to see this band on here, soon. I signed up on Patreon but then never used it lol. It'd be really cool to see you guys start on Ra too. Awesome band. Sky by Ra
Phil Demmel and Robb Flynn share guitar duties. They often alternate back and forth on the solos.
🤘🔥🤘
OG 'Head cut...badass band.
Please more fear factory!
I was really into this song when it first came out. It's fun to play on guitar and even sing. His voice is right in my register. I'm not saying I'm a great singer, by the way, but the neighbors must have opinions. 😂
Pretty sure you are talking about Max Headroom but anyway a machine head is basically the headstock of a guitar I believe
This is possibly my favorite machine head song. Although the Blackening is my favorite album of theirs.
Check out "This is the End" from the same Machine Head album.
Absolute banger! And such a beautiful guitar solo.
From their more nu-metal material you have to check out "American High" - that one will get you moving! (and as usual with Machine Head, even more so live)
Gotta react to their song “heavy is the crown”
Okay, so on the count of 3 everyone please repeat after me...ONE n a TWO n a "MACHINE'FUCKIN'HEAD!" "MACHINE'FUCKIN'HEAD!" and that concludes the lesson for today. Class Dismissed! Machine Head is so fucking great!
Creeping Death from Metallica is about the final plague, killing of the first born. Metallica writes the song from the prospective of the angel of death
Makes me miss Vio-lence all the more.
Robb Flynn is one of the best guys in rock/metal.
Rob is in incredible guitarist. Not just rhythm, his solos are insane.
Smokey’s “no” to Machine Head being a Christian band. Hahaha
Machine Head is still going... you should check Choke on The Ashes of Your Hate from their latest album Of Kingdom and Crown, banger of a song!
Was the TV head guy Max from MTV?
Gotta do Halo if you haven't already. Amazing song!
It was mtv smokey
Came to say the same hoping I was remembering correctly
Dude, you guys need to take a listen to Imperium.
They don't have a song for all of the plagues...BUT LORD, EVERY ALBUM IS PRETTY BIBLICAL
This is one their best songs. I like their style and they often have good bits in their songs, but too often they are overlong and lose focus. "Bulldozer" is my fave and "Alan's on Fire" but that's a cover.

React to “Is there anybody out there”
TV head g-g-g-g-g-g-guy, probably Max Headroom
shame you didnt do the video version
There are 3 bands I always confuse with one another despite never listening to them... Machine Head, Fear Factory and Type O Negative... No idea why...
Isn't fear factory more industrial sounding? Not sure, but may be bcoz spotify playlists lump those bands together 😅
@@tiffy3260 I've had this confusion for over 20 years and I don't use Spotify. I have no clue where it comes from hahaha
I see machinehead and i immediately think of the song by Bush lol. Almost disappointed it wasn't that.
That’s my exact opposite thought.
Listen to HALO next
Smokey I love how you just close the eyes and bobb your head to the song. Hollywood just jam? The arm movement and All that extra shits annoying.
Dude let the man live and enjoy life 😂
@@ms.dirtybird7779Nobody can enjoy themselves without pissing someone off 😭😂😂
Like the instruments vocals not so much
