Remember listening to it on a CD listening post in Virgin Megastore in Birmingham, UK. Me and my friend, Oz, just looked at each other and smiled. We knew we were listening to something great.
Awesome to see people still being blown away by the tunes that got me through those high school years. You should check out asthetics of hate by Machine Head. BANGER!
I was 20 years old back then and Machine Head were my favorite band! Being a drummer myself Chris Kontos was a real hero and inspiration for me. I’ve never been able to play Davidian from start to finish like him :-) and I tried so many times.
I love just how excited this makes you. I remember how much this record kicked my ass when I came out, but over time you lose touch with that excitement. I still love the album, but once you've heard all the tracks dozens of times, you forget what it sounded like to fresh ears.
This album (Burn My Eyes) is an excellent album as a lot of Machine Head albums are. The Blackening also has some great songs, if y’all wanna listen more to this band
Machine head.. absolutely own break downs.. 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟 mental..love them guys . Great reaction and choice guys . Keep rocking on .keep safe and happy and most of all healthy..🤟🤟🤟🤟
I saw Machine Head about 15 years ago when and it was their first show in many months so they set up and sound checked their entire set and I had the pleasure of being in the venue to watch their sound check. It was me, the opening band and the people who worked at the venue. Then we got to see the show too and we got to hang with the band too. I'm a drummer so I kicked it with McClain most of the time talking about drums and checking out his insane kit.
Main Stage, Ozzfest 1997, First time seeing these guys live, this brings back an insane amount of nostalgia!!!! That whole line-up was insane. My friend won tickets off the radio and we were backstage before the show. OMFG.
That was my first time seeing them as well, in Giants Stadium. The thing that SUCKED about was half way thru the second song, they cut the power to the PA and ended their set (last band on second stage) so that Black Sabbath can start on time (11pm curfew in NY metro area).
@@alexojeda9048 San Bernardino CA, halfway through Machine Head I was thrown in the air, landed on my back and blacked out for about 10 minutes. I recovered fully about the time Slayer started, making me regret any recovery at all LMAO.
@@alexojeda9048 when I saw slayer at the original Soma in San Diego, a chick had razor blades braided in to her hair and as she stood windmilling in the center of the pit, a six foot skin redistributed her teeth, jaw and nose with one fist. She got to her feet and kicked him in the temple as they both passed out, while Jesus saves ramped up.
I know you guys put this up a few years ago, but I'm feeling a little machine fucking head today..😎🤟 And I'm missing seeing them live.. They're one of my favourite metal bands of all time, bay area monsters. In a interview Robb says the most insane circle pits he has ever seen are Glasgow Scotland and right here in Manchester England..😁 Oh and they did and I'll argue with anyone... Machine head invented the circle pits..... It's just a fact..😏 Fucking love you guys and fucking love Robb Flynn and this OG line up of machine head.. You really need to do the darkness within....🤔 Now...😂
Always been a fan of these guys, Rob Flynn of stage can be a bit 'different'but still makes great music. Logan Mader (the guitarist with the dreads) has his own band called Once Human with the extremely talented Lauren Heart as vocalist (think Angela Gossow sound, and an Aussie too!) They have a couple of albums and two of their most popular songs is Gravity and Eye of Chaos. 🤘🇦🇺🤘
Love yalls reactions you need to check out Locust or Halo by machine next do the lyric video for either bc you miss some of the song with the official videos
It was thought that band gotten its name from Deep Purple's iconic 1972's album, Machine Head. Band, Machine Head thinks name sounded cool. But I believed that they were influenced by Deep Purple because DP and other classic bands influenced today's band like Machine Head.

My all time fave metal band, got the bme album when it was released. His politics are so off and drives me crazy because his music i love all their albums even supercharger! But his leftist ideology is beyond me. So had to laugh when i read your comment!
“Let Freedom Ring with a shotgun blast”. Probably one of the best lyrics ever
Classic 🤘🤘🤘🤘!!! Hard to believe Burn My Eyes was released 25 years ago!
And rememered it like yesterday!
Remember listening to it on a CD listening post in Virgin Megastore in Birmingham, UK. Me and my friend, Oz, just looked at each other and smiled. We knew we were listening to something great.
Imo still their best album! Not because they didn't put out good ones after it, but because Burn My Eyes was just SO GODDAMN GOOD!!
@@SecondSince Agreed man! One of the best albums of all time! It's one of those few 11/10 albums!
The Blackening and TTAOE are also 10/10 for sure.
It was great to see Chris Kontos behind the kit again. Phenomenal drummer.
Chris Kontos is a total best. the drums of Doom!!!
Awesome to see people still being blown away by the tunes that got me through those high school years. You should check out asthetics of hate by Machine Head. BANGER!
STILL one of THE best Metall songs ever!!!!!!!
Been listening to this album since I was like 16 and to this day NO breakdown hits like this one. None.
Walter White`s voice " You're God dammed right!"
From one of the best debut albums ever 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
That song and album is pure gold to me. Masterpiece 🔥🔥🔥
Old school hardcore kid til death here - that is STILL one of the top-10 most bowel-loosening breakdowns ever conceived.
Machine Head is most certainly not a hardcore band.
A thousand times YES! \m/
@@FriedRys but you can hear the nyhc influence mix with some crossover and that breakdown at the end is just brutal……
@Lucas F el metalcore aun no existía
@Lucas F this was 1994. Did metalcore even exist?
I was 20 years old back then and Machine Head were my favorite band! Being a drummer myself Chris Kontos was a real hero and inspiration for me. I’ve never been able to play Davidian from start to finish like him :-) and I tried so many times.
Best live band I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen them about 10 times never seen a bad show from them
Old school Machine Head nice ;)
You guys should also do "Old". From the same album as this, absolute classic and one of the best riffs ever.
So much fucking groove to that song! 🤟🏻
One of the greatest metal albums ever released.
Hell Yeah!
Ah, the good old days. One of the best metal albums ever.
Also check out the drumcam videos. Chris is amazing.

Suzi always looks so cool! Blue is her color obviously. Robb Flynn's live streams are alot of fun. They just jam in silly hats and sound amazing
i see them for the first time in wacken 2009 and this song blown me away.
This is the real Machine fuckin Head! This reunion was amazing!
Yes, Chris Kontos is indeed insane, Awesome drummer. Awesome band \m/
Balls so big they drag on the concrete!!! One of the hardest metal songs these ears have ever heard! I want to throw a building or something!
Chris Kontos (drummer)is my good friend. East Bay hardcore for life!
Hey guys you are fantastic, because you live each topic and you only make comments at the end, as it should be 👏👏👏👏👏🤘🤘🤘🎸
I remember seeing them years ago. The pit was absolutely insane when they played this.
