I know someone who had a cheeseburger, fries, and soda every work day lunch ... until he was lucky enough to survive a heart attack. The cardiologist did not recommend a change of diet, but he was fortunate to have learned about a raw, plant-based diet and started following it immediately. He never wavered and embraced a living food lifestyle. Gradually, he included a small portion of cooked grains, such as quinoa and brown rice. Today, he is a testament of how resilient the human body can be and is the vision of good health. His younger sibling, who continues to eat the standard American diet, is not faring well.
Awesome thanks for sharing!
Wow, loved this interview. What a smart intellectual human being. Super inspirational.
I'm approaching 65 and I have no aches or pain and I take no medication and my energy level is naturally high.
I tried vegan and felt great, but went back to meat. It's been a few years now, but I cut back on meat about 3 weeks ago and barely feel any aches and pain. After 3 days, I was almost joint pain free. Facts... Still working to cut it out completely.
Going vegan made me realize how much pain and disaster we cause to many animals and ourselves. How drugs actually make us dependent instead of fixing the target issue the drugs just cover it up. Having a new sense of life and how much of an amazing change being vegan has changed not only my life but my families. Losing weight is amazing but the health benefits and overall feeling is the best life you can give yourself! Haven’t needed depression or anxiety meds since becoming vegan. Thank you for talking to us your truly amazing!
I adopted the Vegan diet in 1970 and have seen hundreds of videos explaining the vegan way of compassionate living. This interview with Dr. Frank Sabatino is one of the most educational and inspirational 59 minutes I have ever enjoyed. Thank you for sharing this ourstanding discusion and for your own great "Individual Moral Progress" in establishing Vegan Linked !
Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I would love to interview you sometime. If you're interested let me know. My name is Jeff. Send me a message through veganlinked.com/contact/ if you want to try to arrange that ❤️
Check out Dr. Milton Mills and Dennis Batiste, so good, especially Milton Mills.
Thank you, Dr Frank Sabatino for the excellent description of the benefits of a Whole Food Plant Based Diet w/o oil, sugar and salt. I am 71 and enjoy exercising and volunteering very much. I meet weekly with a church group of men and am trying slowly to inform them of the benefits of a healthy diet. Kind, loving patient persistence is the answer. It is so obvious that a meat-eating diet abuses animals, our health and the health of the Planet. It is a shame that the movement is progressing at a snail’s pace. Thank-you for the uplifting talk.
Thank you for watching and commenting! I agree it's unfortunate that it's such a slow pace of progress but together we will make a vegan world. Maybe you can help by checking out the website I've been working on that's derailed me from the channel for seven weeks now. VeganLinked.com may become a very powerful complement to this channel and tool for others to use to build up their vegan communities and accelerate progress toward a vegan world. ❤️
I can't wait to see you again Tim! Hopefully later this year at the next conference :-)
See you then, Jeff. Looking forward to the meeting.
Have you ever thought the reason it is moving in snail's pace is because humans are not meant to eat plants as a main source of nutrients? If food wasn't shipped from all parts of the world and supermarkets/fridges didn't exist, what would you eat, especially during winter when nothing grows? There is not one traditional culture on the planet that eats only plant foods. Not one. Study paleontology and you would understand why humans don't naturally gravitate towards eating plants.
@ Tim Brown.... may I ask what do you put in place of sugar? How do you cook without using oil? I use garlic oil, I don’t eat a lot of meat, I’m finding I don’t like the taste... I eat hummus on toast, salads, regular Cheerios... I’m trying to find my way.... Thank you , if you can answer, I appreciate!
This is a beautiful discussion of a better life, plant based and loving.
This doc is amazing; same happened to me; a difficult transition, but innumerable benefits. Thanks for advocating this!
Oh my goodness! That was fabulous! Stupendous! I think that's, probably, the best interview I've ever heard on eating wfpb, healing and overall health. It was informative, clear and direct. Thank you so much, Dr Sabatino and VeganLinked. I'm more grateful than you could ever know. 💕
this goes wayyyyy back to the Bible as there were soldiers who served God who were captured and refused to eat the kings food and asked to be tested in allowing them to eat nothing but plants and drink nothing but water and if in a certain amount of days they were found to be weaker than the other soldiers they would accept eating what the other captured soldiers were eating. When the time was up and they were tested they were found to be far stronger and healthier than the other soldiers.
BTW - I am an elite Ironman athlete, have won overall in my division and qualified and raced the Ironman World Championship multiple times on a whole food plant based diet, at one point was a raw foodist for 5 years. I FEEL AWESOME!
Thank you Dr. Sabatino for continuing to get this great information out to all who will listen!
OMGOODNESS! What an amazing man you are. You truly care about people. I learned so much from you and you are so knowledgeable and honest about what we should be doing to protect not just ourselves but our planet. Your children are Blessed to have you as a father who makes a difference in their long life ahead. Thank you for changing the beginning of mine. God Bless you and your family. 🙏🏼❤️
I love that he mentioned that his kids were nursed for a long time. This is a detail that often gets overlooked by the health world (which is so focused on adults), but it plays such a huge part in a healthy immune system and proper oral development (no braces!).
Such a powerful multi faceted offering! Dr. Sabatino is a profoundly spiritual human and I so appreciate that he includes the LOVE factor in the plant based way of life❤❤❤❤
All doctors must be like Dr Frank Sabatino.
You're absolutely right about quality of life. At 84, life is good.
Please tell me about you lifestyle and diet ? Thank you..

So awsome
I always wait for the new ones . Inspirational, wonderful people.
The Dr was so lucky to have met that insurance salesman and given the info that changed his life! I went vegetarian 30 years ago and have been vegan for about 14 yrs. I've loved bringing up my family that way too. I felt that we had spared so many animals lives in that time. That was a beautiful thing to have done for humanity I feel. Easy, peaceful and certainly a wonderful feeling to contribute to society. My daughters grew up happy and healthy, I wish all families could know what that is like as you get a peaceful feeling within. Many friends didn't understand but that was ok we just continued with our lifestyle , no big deal. They got used to it. One daughter is a big advocate for animals. My husband still does intense fitness, he won his masters title for boxing last year. I believe we can continue being great sports men and women also. Thank you for the interview
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Did you raise your children vegan by any chance?
I may like to interview if you're interested send me a message at veganlinked.com/contact 🙂
Thank you very much for the program. Learning new things about vegan diets' effects on health is very helpful.
Wow, what a knowledgeable doctor 👏👏
These personal interviews are my favorite part of your channel. I always look forward to them.
Thank you Dr Sabatino for your common sense approach to a higher vibration of living thru living foods. I love you Doc. This is the pathway of life that I live.
Luv this channel, so fantastic!
THANK YOU! I give everything I can to do this! It's a labor of love and even if it's the death of me doing all this I'll at least feel like I did all I could :)
This is one of if not thee best interview I've ever seen on health. Thank you to you both❤🙏
Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Stay tuned I have all kinds of goodies coming for years to come actually!
Admirable. So much wisdom.
A new found Dr to love!!!
I would love if the audio of your interviews were uploaded on spotify. Would be able to listen to them on the go
I've heard that before and I guess I need to get to the point where I can do that. But can't you listen to them on the go here? I listen to RUclips in the car on walks and in all kinds of situations... :)
@@VeganLinked that's true, but there are some reasons for it. I like to listen when I'm going to bed, and spotify doesn't make me keep my screen on, it has nice features that it can turn it off automatically after a certain amount of time. It takes less battery and less data because i don't have to have my screen on and there is no video to stream. I also take public transportation, so when i switch busses or trains, i wouldn't have to worry about pressing anything with the screen on and I'd just be able to listen without having to deal with that
@@VeganLinked i love your interviews though regardless of whether you put them on another platform or not. Thanks for the work you do
@@TheLoyalpain if you pay for RUclips you can turn the screen off. Do you pay for Spotify? Thanks for all this. It helps motivate me more toward that. I'll see what I can do... ❤️
@@TheLoyalpain thanks, all good! :)
WISDOM ... NOT THINKING ! Take your mind out of it , the MIND is dead.. Feel your body ! Listen to your body .
Some very wise words, not only regarding plant based eating, but also life. Keep up the great content! 💚🌱
Love how he speaks so fluent and eloquently...sucks you in right away
Excellent interview. Spread the truth!!
Thank you for sharing. Such a pleasure to watch!!❤❤❤
Go vegan for your health, whole food plant based.
Go vegan for the animals.
Go vegan for the planet.
Go vegan and be healthier and happier.
A lower risk of heart disease and cancer for you and a better planet for everyone, human and animals.
Eating healthy is not a diet it is a healthy life style.
Fantastic interview! thanks.
Thank You so much Vegan Linked for doing these interviews, coming from a large family and being the only one who is plant based, I am at the point where I find family gatherings so stressful because of the way you are looked at, as if you have a third eye, that I come very close to packing it all in and eating that piece of chicken, or bacon, so I tend to avoid these gatherings as much as possible. This includes my wife who is currently doing a 75 day workout plan, that includes very little "Gbombs".
I have some cheese which has been a very difficult habit to kick, and it keeps others happy, yes I do have incredible guilt afterwards when I think about the dairy industry abuse, but my goal is to break that habit when I turn 70 this Earth Day. I always look forward to these interviews with renowned Medical Md's that hold clout, and have lived what they advocate for so many years, they are so inspiring and instill in me that I Am moving down the right path, and helping to fight the "Good " fight.
It was a little disheartening to see the look on Dr. Sabatino's face when asked if we'll ever see a Vegan world, and he said basically if the world survives long enough, my sentiments exactly, but we have to be optimistic, and try to change things....for our Grandchildren's sake, and for future generations.
Please keep these interviews coming to us. :)
What a great discussion!!! ❤❤❤
Amen this is a great conversation
Чувствуется, что человек не только глубоко разбирается в вопросе теоретически, но и имеет огромный жизненный опыт натуральной гигиены. Произвел очень сильное впечатление. Очень цельный человек! Спасибо! 👍
What a wealth of knowledge. Thank you.
What a breath of fresh air!
Brilliant. Simply brilliant 👏🏼
Thank you 🙏
All I can say is Wow, this is phenomenal.
Looks sensational for 71 . Wonderful to see . Tremendous “nick” as we say in the UK.
What? He's 71? Wow! He looks like he's in his fifties....
Awesome interview ❤️🙏🏼
Thanks. Now I can roll with the discomfort of two fractured ribs, and a badly bruised shoulder. However, pain sucks. Moving forward. :)
Thanks!
Great interview!
Amazing. Thanks
Very good interview.
Plant based vegan is the way to go!! 👈🌱💚💪✌️
This is the most knowledgeable plant-based doctor I've ever seen, as his inspiration was the Natural Hygiene Health Movement instead of pharma drugs - which is why I was so surprised when he mentioned B12 and other supplements like D (a steroid hormone). A fellow member of that Movement was Vivian Vetrano, who proved that there was no such thing as a “B12 deficiency” in a vegan diet and campaigned against synthetic supplements.
The truth is that B12 was created in a Merck drug lab in 1948 from the bacteria in cow manure and the tissue of raw cow’s liver, then marketed as a “vitamin” and sold as a “cure” for pernicious anemia as a replacement for the unpopular liver extract pills.
What’s called “B12” is just a generic beneficial bacteria that exists naturally in the healthy guts of both humans and animals, and which antibiotics and other drugs destroy. The supplement itself is useless except for showing up in high levels on “tests,” and is toxic and unabsorbable.
If you’re interested, Jeff, I’m writing a book on the truth about B12 that no one knows or talks about, and it should be out in a few months.
Interesting theories, unfortunately human outcomes don't seem to support what you're saying. Are you suggesting the results of symptom reduction are placebo
@@VeganLinked These aren't my theories, they're from published papers in scientific journals. When something is done out of fear of consequences and believed to be true by the majority, like the dire necessity of taking a B12 supplement, the placebo effect is very powerful. And I can tell you just as many anecdotes where people said that B12 did absolutely nothing to fix what they were told was a deficiency but was actually an underlying medical condition.
Those who claim it improved some health problem only had a temporary condition that healed on its own from improved diet, healthier microbiome from no longer taking antibiotics or other drugs, etc. The “boost of energy” some claim to feel is either purely psychological or from the alcohol or cyanide effect.
Many decades-long vegans don’t believe the hype around B12 and have never taken it, like Gary Yourofsky, Clif Grant, Will Tuttle, Dr. Robert Morse, Mimi Kirk, and myself, vegan since 1989. Neither have tribes who have been 100% plant-based for centuries like the Hunza and the Brokpa.
None of the plant-based doctors who warn vegans they’ll die without B12 supplements have done any research into its history. But it’s a verifiable fact that it was created out of raw cow’s liver and manure by vivisectionists working for a pharmaceutical company, then deliberately marketed to vegans.
One of the major side effects from taking B12 supplements is skin break-outs, and that’s because the bacteria used comes from filthy sources like sewage sludge or even dairy waste, and/or is genetically engineered in drug labs. I'd really like to find out why so many vegans prefer to believe the huge lie that the plant-based diet is so unnatural and lacking that because they don’t eat meat, dairy or eggs they have to take a nasty synthetic isolate made in a drug lab. Not many even question it, but I find it to be the Achilles’ Heel of veganism that anti-vegans use as ammunition.
Ive been a lifelong vegetarian, born and raised that way by my parents and I feel much better once I started to take b12 supplements. Less fatigue. I also take iron and D3 but B12 was the one that I really noticed the effect For whatever reason it is difficult to get enough of this from the vegetables available in the USA today.
@@Empathy4Animals411 The problem with the theories you are presenting is they do not explain people with deficiencies have symptom relief with supplementation. But, that doesn't even matter. When you have something published that trumps this fact sheet with 100 references then I'll consider thinking about deviating more than I currently do. ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/VitaminB12-HealthProfessional/
@@VeganLinked There's more of us vegans out here than you realize that reject the lies of B12 supplementation. You need 100 references when you only listed one? That seems hardly fair. You do realize who benefits from heavily pushing B12, right? - the meat & dairy industry and the pharma companies. What a shame only a small percentage in the world question what they're told by the mainstream even when it makes no sense.
Beautiful sharing indeed. Vegan is the KEY OF GOOD HEALTHY WITH GOOD QUALITY LIFE ☘🍋🍌🍇🍎🍅🌶🥑🥦🧄🧅🍄🥒🫑

@@VeganLinked i am shure , If you love the Cows and care of her you can to drink the milk . In India Cows is very love cows and Cows like mather.
@@VeganLinked In India the Cows are sacred Animals, they love cows. And they to drink the milk of cows.
@@АлматыАлматы-к2ф Yes but if you actually look into it those cows end up being leather. The cows eventually somewhere else where they can be slaughtered and used for meat. A lot of people in India are going vegan now because of the reality and horrors behind dairy. It is completely unnecessary and therefore grotesque. It may even increase risk for chronic disease. It's definitely unsustainable and therefore will result in The most horrific abuse. I have Jain on my channel that have gone vegan because of this.
awesome! thank you!
Interesting points about fasting. It could also be called intermittent ketosis. Similar results are seen in eating smaller dinners, not snacking late, light exercise in the morning, and having high-quality breakfasts. Larger lunches tend to be okay provided caloric density isn't ridiculous and the quality of the calories is from whole plants. Many people with gastrointestinal issues may see an immediate result by simply shifting to more resistant starches and just not gorging, not eating late, reducing sugars, and drinking more water. If beans cause excessive gas, take a break from beans and then introduce them slowly back into the diet over time.
Totally!
You sound like somebody good to interview sometime :)
@@VeganLinked Ha! I emailed you. Check your spam.
So .. plants based diet doesn’t helps atrial fibrillation, stenosis and some others disease ❓‼️
Thank you for your response and your help
I believe Atrial fibrillation can be an allergic reaction to any type of toxin eg certain intravenous "remedies",medications,& can also be an imbalance of the body's tissue salts.causing the heart to go out of balance & rythym. It is very likely since Most blood pressure meds work by regulating minerals & tissue salts & their concentration in the blood.
Brilliant man
Nice approach very good seaking, is this doctor an adventist?
this guy looks absolutely amazing for 72!!!!
6' of DNA in each cell, that's 1/6 the width of a hair. It's almost too difficult to wrap my mind around that. Love Dr. Frank.
There is some methionine in soy. Does Dr. Frank limit his intake of soy? I have read that three servings of soy per day is a safe amount.
All plants have amino acids. Methionine is essential. Animals have too much, not plants. I doubt he eats 3 servings a day. I don't know anyone who eats more than one or even eats it every day. Edamame would be more in line with whole plant foods.
@@VeganLinked some people drink a lot of soy milk, eat a lot of tofu…
What about oxalates?
Tea and coffee are the main source of oxalates.
Oxalates thing comes only from anti vegans. I would not worry about it.
I eat mostly fruit myself.
Actually I would avoid mono mealing spinach, it's the highest oxalate green so eat a variety of greens. Oxalates aren't a problem at all as long as you're eating a proper variety of beans, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices. Teas and coffee are more issues when it comes to tannins. So try to avoid drinking those around meal times and you should be totally fine. You can also add a little bit of vitamin c to your greens or vinegar to increase absorption. Also a little bit of fat from seeds or nuts helps as well. But just doing a variety is I strive for and everything else kind of takes care of itself.
Since I am eating raw, and always just fruit/fruit juice till noon, all my vitamins and mineral levels are balanced and topped of and that without any kind of supplementation, even B12.
Be careful with B12. It can take a while for stores to deplete. And serum level test are not necessarily the best. It's probably good to at least take that.
What is Dr. Sabatino's age?
70 maybe

To any SOS type of eaters, what do you do to keep things from sticking without oil when baking?
Maybe cook on lower temperatures, maybe add a little water instead, maybe sautee things that have water in them like onions, tomatoes, etc and maybe eat more raw and do more sprouts. Really eating more raw is the way to go probably.

Ive been wfpb no sugar no oil. Steamed veggies and salads..very strict..for years....but i have all kinds of bloating and digestive issues. A salad in the middle of the day would make it impossible to do anything for hours.
I have huge salads most days with no problems maybe you just need to adapt to it or something.
@@VeganLinked I think after 40 years of huge salads I'd have adapted by now. I just don't eat meat because I'd rather be bloated than have to take dynamite to poop. But I find this vegan diet very hard to digest. I don't even eat beans so that isn't an issue.
@@betzib8021 so you did the same thing that was causing problems for forty years, that's kind of insane. There are tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of edible plants, and mushrooms to choose from. This means there's endless opportunities to tailor a vegan diet specific to your needs. Also it may be something to do with how your eating and when you're eating if you're having digestive problems. Or maybe you just don't have the right bacteria, maybe you're snacking too much, maybe you're eating too late, maybe you're not chewing enough, maybe you're not getting the right variety, maybe you need to do a fast, or maybe even you have other issues going on better just causing your stomach to be upset. Vegans are vegans for ethical reasons first and foremost and then find the best way to tailor their diet to their individual circumstances. There has been times when I was having difficulties but it wasn't the food it was more behavioral than anything...
@@VeganLinked no...I did not do the same thing for 40 years. I have listened to numerous videos and podcasts...read numerous books...tried many different combos of all sorts of vegan diets...tried juice fasting...water fasting...gotten advice from naturopathy and pursued veganism from fruitatian, raw, starch based...etc. i don't think there is any form I haven't tried. Obviously I am not the only one struggling.. If you want to advance veganism for the animals and the planet you can't be so triggered when someone says they have difficulty with it...and it doesn't do anything but alienate people when you assume you know exactly what they have done and say to them that you yourself never had that problem or that they are insane for something you assume they have done.. I think your channel is excellent and you ask great questions. Have some understanding for those who struggle with the diet.
@@betzib8021 all you need to eat is a whole food plant-based diet of legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices and a variety of each. Then consider disciplining yourself to only get 80% full, the bulk of your food earlier in the day, and eating within an 8-hour window/not eating after dark. Starch-based, raw, water fasting, juice fasting, etc is never mentioned on this channel except to treat a disease temporarily. And raw will be mentioned more but that's about it. The Daily Dozen app may help.

Lower your chance of high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer by going vegan. Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices.
Can fasting regenerate the pancreas beta cells in Type 1 diabetics, so that they no longer need exogenous insulin?
No,. I don't think that is possible
Ok thanks for your reply. But is long fasts appropriate for a diabetic who has other health issues such as an enlarged prostate and kidney stones?
Seen
Not eating red meat made me so unbelievably sick. What works for one person doesn’t reflect on someone else. If I don’t have red meat in my diet I feel terrible. I am a omnivore, I eat starch fruits and meat.
Crackheads have a hard time coping too. You would feel much better adapting to a whole plant food exclusive diet of legumes, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, and seeds, herbs and spices. If you care about eating an optimum diet and need help find a lifestyle medicine practitioner.
People have a hard time quitting smoking, that doesn't mean smoking is good for them. You can ditch eating death
That's why Islam is great for human beings in fasting
Most vegan failures is because people just think i just buy salads and eat that only 😅… human beings are so strange.
People don't even want to quit smoking, drinking, in other words all the bad stuff, the rich don't want you to do that neither, being sick is money. If the Creator was down here we would get the Creator into it also. You come into this world knowing nothing, you leave in this world knowing nothing. Knowing freedom and then go into a dictatorship that's red white and blue.
Coffee break a fast?...
I don't think it does. But I can't say it's the healthiest way to start the day even though I enjoy it lol

Interesting… gastroenterologist has no relationship to with the bowl and food😝!! Bizzar!
you have to pay to fast? Pay to not eat
lol, yes, that is a funny thought, but a "clinically supervised" fast is necessary and in the company of like minded people, in a majestic location, with lots of activities and education (at least this is my understanding of it). There appears to be a lot to fasting to be able to clinically supervise someone. Jayney talks about this briefly in interview I did with her last week...
Jesus ate fish and unleavened bread and fruits and vegetables..that’s all I eat
But you're not Jesus so I eat fish? 8 billion people can't pretend to be Jesus and eat fish for very long before completely devastating aquatic Life. And it's completely unnecessary when we have so much access now to a vast variety of whole plant foods that are healthier and safer and more abundant
@@VeganLinked just like there was an aquatic life before you and I were here they’ll be one long after you and I are gone..stop being self righteous and appreciate life in the grand scheme of things..we are like spec’s of dust in the universe here passing by in a very short time..the vegan cult ideology you subscribe to has taken you away from reality of appreciating life in the grand scheme of things..read this again until you fully grasp it.
Jesus never ate flesh foods he was an Essene a religious sect that lived in the desert!
Kids drinking animal milk are larger
They might be larger at first but not in the long run. Pushing growth, accelerating growth is not advantageous and may contribute to cancer growth. But there is no evidence that they are bigger in the long run. And bigger isn't advantageous necessarily either at all. If you're going to make empirical claims then be ready to back them up with science otherwise please refrain
We live in an inverted matrix and the Original Human has been mutated through this matrix, therefore, everyone has a different Constitution dependent on many factors in their genetic disposition. The body is a technology of its own, and if listened too, it will let you know what it needs. He doesn’t look well.
He doesn't look well? He looks fantastic, he's almost 70 and he's running around doing multiple talks at conferences, running a retreat and extremely articulate and you say he doesn't look well? What does well look like to you?
Yet we all have eyeballs, a mouth teeth, a tongue, stomach, pancreas, liver, kidneys, salivary glands, a heart, we bleed, we cry, we express Joy and other emotions, we're so much the same yet so different. And across vegans you see all of this diversity existing without having to exploit, abuse, or ingest body parts, organs, and secretions. So we can be genetically unique all day long and still not have to partake in violence.
"healthy vegan" is oxymororn
Maybe to a moron?
@@VeganLinkedcouldn’t have said it any better myself lol
