John Denver is my favorite male singer. From '75 to '78 was kind of a magical time for me then. I would listen to John Denver while eating homemade chili with homemade bread baked in a Franklin stove.
What a wonderful tribute to John Denver. I was fortunate to see John two times in concert. After the second concert I was so lucky to meet and shake John Denver's hand. It's a moment that I will always remember. He wrote music and sang in such a way to touch people's hearts. He certainly touched mine. Rick, without a doubt, you are by far the finest John Denver Tribute artist I have ever seen and heard. It's like you possess the spirit of John. You have great talent. You sing, play the guitar like John and certainly look like him. You're keeping the memory of John alive. You're giving people the chance that never got to see John in person to experience the magic of seeing him in concert. I hope you keep up this wonderful tribute to John Denver.
@@tocando_em_frente . . . Interesting comment from a couple of years ago , ‘B J’ … Which continent are you on ?.. just out of interest; I ‘ll guess at ‘s t a t e s i d e’ … What day you .
The best concert I have ever been to was John Denver's. You are keeping him alive through your music. It doesn't hurt that you look like him too. I feel John is back and that's a nice feeling.
Hi Rick, best regards from Germany, I think you're great. If someone is John Denver, it's you! I don't know anyone who can sing like that! Keep it up and stay healthy.
If this show was done with a full orchestra backing John - oops, I'm sorry, Rick! it would have been a huge success! Maybe John had a twin that we didn't know about. This is ever so scary, but at the same time I loved listening to Rick. Just here and there a small difference, but I don't care - he made me feel better about John for a little while. Thanks Rick, you're great, believe me! And thank you for what you're doing! Greetings xxx
That was truly amazing! My son & daughter-in-law met you recently in AZ at a friend's wedding (Caleb & Christy) and Caleb told me since I've been a John Denver fan since I was a kid. (I wore out a 45 of Sunshine on My Shoulders.) I so hope I can attend one of your concerts if you ever travel east. Wishing you His blessings.
Wow. All I can say is wow. You have his intonation, look, way of moving. You definitely have the best voice, closest of all. Please...can you tell me if and when you are coming to Southwest Florida. It would be as close as seeing the real thing. Beautiful voice, beautiful human being.
This is probably the closest I’ve ever heard to John since he’s passed. And I really really enjoy listening to RUclips videos. Maybe someday we’ll see you in Washington state! Would love to be able to listen to you in person although I won’t be able to see you. But listening is the more important experience anyways in my humble opinion. There’s only one actually two things that I could offer you that would make you so much more authentic it would be an incredible addition to your your repertoire. One is to remember that the vibrato at the end of many of the lines of his verses. The other is the fact that although he had lots of vocal inflection from many places he visited as he was growing up at Cetera one of the main influences from the many places elicited throughout his life many of his years were spent in Minnesota with his wife Annie. And that Minnesota drawl as they call it definitely came through in his music even more so as he got older. It’s not meant as disrespect at all but possibly in addition that would improve your show and make you even more authentic as a tribute singer to John please do not take this disrespect because it’s not meant to such I love John as well as everybody else did and I miss him a great deal just as everybody else does thank you again for the music I hope to someday here in person
Rick, just discovered you and you are IMPRESSIVE in your tribute to Henry John Deutschendorf Jr... you have his subtle, gentle vibrato and pitch perfect vocals and that separates you from most of the other JD artists. Love your faith and your artistry. Will definitely be listening to your original music. Awesome and hope to see you soon in concert. Waiting (hoping) for 2024 tour dates in Colorado.
You must have been sent as a person to take his place when he died, you have his inflection in voice when you speak especially. And you look like him. Amazing how it works.
God wants us to move on ...Changes and Goodbyes ...That’s Life !! This is Great to keep his Legend live on... but Remember... WE HAVE TO MOVE ON ! I know it hurts EVERYONE? But God said move on ? It will be fine ? The pain will go away .. I promise 😇We will all see John later on .. when Death is all upon us 😇It’s gonna be ok!It will be fine! Enjoy talking about John and listening to his music and this guy Ricks experience.. but try to move on or u can get too DEPRESSED 😇God Bless Everyone 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
I heard you are going to play in Middletown Va in July?! Thinking I might have to make a trip from Southern CA! So awesome you’re doing that! You are an amazing and so talented. Bringing John Denver back to life!
He sounds good. Very much like John. From what I've heard from this video, some of the vocal parts that he sang in this video sound closer to John's vocal tone than others. I'm tempted to say that certain parts that he sang in this video sound identical to John. Sounds like he's got the appropriate vocal range and John's vibrato down well.
Hello Rick! This delightful promo is a fun reminder of the weekend I saw your concerts in Boca Raton, Florida in November 2021 ( during the pandemic). Your video is a sweet glimpse and wonderful preview of your amazing live shows. I look forward to seeing you again when you are in concert on the east coast! When does your next CD come out? God bless!🌷☕😎
I've really got to meet this man. Somehow God gave us a second chance to experience "John Denver" through this man. OMG I have chills watching and listening to Rick Schuler as he does a tribute to John Denver!
@@smileybubbles9894 I agree. Ted is awesome I just saw him in person the other day maybe like week he is an awesome guy in person which makes him even better in my opinion. Very very cool guy.
@Cdd D ok then so whose the real John Denver? Is it Rick Scheuler or Ted Vigil? So, take a look at both but I think that Ted Vigil is like a carbon copy of John Denver or are they clones? 🤔
@Cdd D how is it that both these men don't look any older than John Denver did before he supposedly died? He was 53 yrs old when he supposedly died in 1997 so that would make him 75 yrs old now.
Rick sounds most like JD of all the tribute acts/singers whose videos I've watched. I am bothered, however, by the variant rhythm/timing of the vocals. Rick, please sing the songs as JD sang them on his recordings.
John Denver is my favorite male singer. From '75 to '78 was kind of a magical time for me then. I would listen to John Denver while eating homemade chili with homemade bread baked in a Franklin stove.
Rick Schuler is the best John Denver impersonator ever!!!
I just listened to Rocky Mountain High album and Back Home Again album. Wow. People are not getting enough John Denver. Good job.

Totaly agree, and hope I can see him live, as I never had the chance to see JD...

Exquisite singing. Nobody captures John’s voice, personality and spirit better.

Rick, you are amazing !!!! Greetings from Brazil ! Hope to see you here !!
amazing, great tribute to john, hope you can come to canada someday
On Octorber 9th, 1997, I became a father. 3 days later, my favorite song-writer died. Rick is pretty good.

A great preview of what is to come.
Wow, you are so talented. Love your voice and the true compassion you put into each song! Thank you for just being yourself!
Beautiful! Love it!
Incredible talent!
Beautiful!

Check out Ted Vigil he both looks and sings much more like John Denver than this guy.
John was never in West Virginia before he recorded Take Me Home Country Roads, and it was intended for Maryland.
You sound better 😉 than ever
I give you a standing , ovation!
Your damned good bud. Good luck to you.

Run across this wonderful talent. So much for us all you give new and older. Still it gives the music in a dual fashion. Thank you Rick !
Janelle Kirkland He is higher than us I agree At least I'm here.
WOW he sounds great like John even when he talks!!!
Wow Rick. It's been a few years since we met in Eureka, MO. I just heard that you'd be in STL in Dec. I'll be there.
Hey Rick please come to Holland to perform, you are amazing !!!
I heard you are going to play in Middletown Va in July?! Thinking I might have to make a trip from Southern CA! So awesome you’re doing that! You are an amazing and so talented. Bringing John Denver back to life!
I don’t know who this is but WOW Amazing good job brother

You amazingly looks and sounds like John. When are you coming to Southern California in 2016?
There is even a game in Nintendo's Mario Party whose title is a play on 'Take Me home Country Roads' to 'Take Me Ohm'.
His voice is just like John Denver
The old guy's singing kills it...
I've really got to meet this man. Somehow God gave us a second chance to experience "John Denver" through this man. OMG I have chills watching and listening to Rick Schuler as he does a tribute to John Denver!
Old is a relative term :)
This guy is no match for Ted Vigil---best John Denver impersonator out there.
They both are individuals...but this guy is way better, has the melancholy of real life in him, which comes through magnificently in his voice.
His speaking voice and singing voice are remarkably like John.
I think Ted looks more like John though
@@smileybubbles9894 I agree. Ted is awesome I just saw him in person the other day maybe like week he is an awesome guy in person which makes him even better in my opinion. Very very cool guy.
Only one john Denver ..but he is good
Very close.
It’s “While all my friends and my old lady sit and pass THE PIPE around”. Don’t be lame.
He's very good though
OMG! I don’t know about you all, but I swear this is the real John Denver, but changed his name to a new name after the plane crash!
Take a look at Ted Vigil, it'll blow your mind even more.

omg
Ouch........
Perhaps some hippie / granny glasses🤓
Banjo too loud....great vocals Schulers part.
Are we sure Denver actually died?
Next stupid question...
Take a look at Ted Vigil

Rick, please sing the songs as JD sang them on his recordings.
If you like J.D. see Ted Vigil better than Schuler.
Sh+t! That is John....if not, then a clone!
Your rushing through the song and the music really turns off do something about it
