Pakistan always had good fast swing bowlers. I recall Imran, Sarfaraz ,Bakht as best practitioners of reverse swing though it originated in the county cricket as acknowledged by them. They then passed the tricks to wasim & waqar and others. Another story is only Sarfaraz knew it and taught it to his mates.
It was common among Pakistani bowlers due to dead pitches. Sarfraz was an expert and brought it to international cricket. According to him he taught it to Imran. Imran passed it on to wasim and waqar....It was called cheating then, but when everyone figured it out, it became reverse swing. lol
Nice to see Sikandar Bakht with his close ups in colour. I think he once took 8 for 69 in a test at Kanpur. Also a very nice commentator, in later years.
@@nawabzadaghulammohammadwal2279safraz nawaz and sikhandar bakht are one of the best new ball bowlers Pakistan ever had. Safraz nawaz was like Glen mcgrath who had good line and length, could seam the ball both ways. Sikhandar bakht had the ability to swing the ball both ways at rapid pace like he did against India in the 79-80 series. Ball tampering is a myth since you can swing the old as everyone in modern cricket does it. Safraz nawaz did invent reverse swing, but he only used in one match against Australia in 79 when he took 9-86. The rest of his wickets were with the new ball.

@@nawabzadaghulammohammadwal2279 Well ! .. when the crooks and criminals running the Circus of the Gov't are jokers themselves then what else can be expected from others 😉😉
It is interesting to see these players in colour since colour tv was introduced in India in August 1982 and that too only vey few well do families had them. People saw these two teams in India from late 70s to early 80s in black and white television. Most batsmen went after Sikander thinking he was easy to play compared to Surfraz or Imran. Mudasar was the other slow-medium bowler they would go after.
The commentator said, tall skinny fast bowler!! That's what he was! And we who saw him bowl, always thought, if he can make it into the test team, so can we! We joked that pray there is no fast wind, otherwise he will end up in the stands. But jokes apart, he was a hard worker and always bowled his heart out. Pity, his physique did not match his heart.
