This is before the "2 new ball rule" in odi, the main reason it is reversing so much is because only one ball was used and that after 35 or 40 overs becomes soft and very rough. They introduced the 2 new balls just to make cricket easier for the batters. BUT still you need mad skills just to control reverse swing because you don't have any clue how much the ball might swing in the air...you can clearly see some of the balls just went straight that means Wasim knew exactly which ball will reverse and which will not and he is changing his length every ball ,that's why he is a legend. You see anybody can reverse the ball but not with the control like Wasim and waqar or even Shoaib had.
This is when the world decided to take out the West Indian and Pakistani bowling threat. To basically change Cricket to a Batsmen's game. Giving a huge advantage to teams such as India who rely heavily on Batsmen.
As an Indian who loves cricket, for me Wasim is the GOAT. The true God of cricket. This calibre of bowling is just missing today. Thanks for uploading this video buddy.
@@GokulOnFire Seems like you desperately wanna argue on something which doesn't even needs an argument. Have you even read and understood what I wrote?
@@RohanSingh-lv3dz lemme hear your say on this. Yes modern cricket is batting oriented, nevertheless most modern day software based cricket mappings & plannings are aimed to exploit batsmen not bowlers. The data at hand are collected & gets analysed to come up with plans against batsmen. The first instance of which was way back when Sachin went to his final England tour in which the techies mapped Sachin's style & came up with a plan which worked brilliantly; a practice that's been followed through even nowadays by every big team. So my point is, apart from the short boundaries, batting pitch & shorter format (which was a boon for spin bowlers but bad for bowling consistency which is the measure of a true great) it hasn't affected bowlers much. Thoughts?
Today's cricket is children cricket compared to what it was before it isn't batting oriented it is actually the lack of skill nowdays fast bowlers lack on a huge margin that too..

One of the most respected and dreaded players in the history of cricket. I bet Wasim bhai can still swing the bowl better than today's fast bowlers. Miss the old Pakistan trio, Wasim Akram, Aqib Javed, and Waqar Younis. Love from India.
Actually this was in his late days. Wasim was 35-36 at this time. During his peak in early 90s, he was 145-150kph and he had a very deceptive fast bouncer.
@@zainejaz4533 Yeh he was fast.. and what made him harder to play was the speed of his arm action. He ambled into the crease, his shoulder came over and the ball would slingshot down the pitch out of nowhere. He hit the pitch hard, the batsman never got a look at the ball from his hand. Just scary. Truly one of the great bowlers and great cricketers, and a gentleman as well. All round class act.

Wasim Akram is an artist with the cricket ball but let us not forget his bowling partner , the equally great , Waqar Younis. Respect to these 2 wonderful bowlers. 🇮🇳
Definetly,the two were awsome together.
Two were a great combo. Waqar was not as consistent as Akram.
@@s_Kumar770 In his peak, Akram was no match for Waqar. Check the statistics , Akram was a distant second. Waqar Younis is heavily underrated and is definitely one of the greats of the game. In Test Matches that Pakistan won , Waqar has a better contribution than Akram.

Yes indeed a great great bowler...no doubt..wasim is one such gem of the game of cricket and Pakistan..we are proud of his legacy..here in Pakistan
Pace is not everything line and length is the art of fast bowling
Totally agree
Then while comparing old bowlers with new bowlers why do u compare their pace?😒😒
No he was extremely quick at his peak then because of diabetes and age he lost pace
Don't say it to "Dale Steyn"
Still it is important if u don't have swing or control it may give u a couple of wickets on mediocre balls too
ICC killed this art form with a policy stroke! Bravo!
This is a good example of why Akram is the most naturally gifted bowler of them all. By far the greatest bowler I have ever seen.
And the fact that Sachin was at his peak during this time makes me respect him even more
@@manjuladakappagari9111 Yupp massive respect to both Sachin and Akram but they were deprived of what would've been the greatest individual rivalry in tests imo where they didn't play against each other for almost a decade in the 90s. Any fast bowler with this skill level? My answer is none. He is the most complete pacer of all time! The great Wasim Akram!!
Mohammad Amir
Glenn McGrath is probably the right hand version of Wasim, if not better. He was equally affective with both the old and new ball. Wasim was a gem, but I feel McGrath is no 1 ODI pace bowler of all time
And skill wise probably Malcolm Marshall, Richard Hadlee
Malcolm marshall. Even the great wasim holds him in high regards
Marshall and McGrath for me

One of the world best all-time swing bowler AKRAM .A LEGEND.
Best*
The best*
Two new balls have been there since the 80s
Shoaib didnt swing bowl bro. He was the faster bowler averaging 150kmph. Swing bowlers uses finger and ball positioning and averages 130-135kmph.
Shohaib akhter was a simple fast bowler, totally different category.
Wasim, Waqar and Mohammad Asif. 👌👍
So why not everyone can do this kind of move in that time
As an Indian who loves cricket, for me Wasim is the GOAT. The true God of cricket. This calibre of bowling is just missing today. Thanks for uploading this video buddy.
Those days when cricket was neutral and not batting oriented
@@GokulOnFire Seems like you desperately wanna argue on something which doesn't even needs an argument. Have you even read and understood what I wrote?
@@GokulOnFire lmao bro, calm down and read his comment again.
@@GokulOnFire it's okay😊

Actually this was in his late days. Wasim was 35-36 at this time. During his peak in early 90s, he was 145-150kph and he had a very deceptive fast bouncer.
@@zainejaz4533 Yeh he was fast.. and what made him harder to play was the speed of his arm action. Your bad luck . I saw Wasim/Waqar and all 90s great bowlers throughout 90s. But those days , India always use to end up losing to great teams. Now the cricket is trash specially IPL. Dont watch at all. Like Bollywood/Hindi Songs, Cricket has also become trash.
And also now politics is involved in cricket, that sucks the most
Off all the praise showered on him over the decades, the best was when once Robin Jackman quietly said ‘ He is not a great bowler, he is much more than that. He is an artist’
