Hey Coop, while yours is shooting super hot you can easily change out the spring to a 788 and drop the fps by quite a bit to make it hit ~150 fps which makes it more friendly in terms of getting hit by the darts AND an easier prime. Just wanted to add that in for all the viewers who might be put off by this beautiful powerhouse. I certainly love mine and Silverfox is the way to go!
What other springs are there that are easy to prime but also can reach good numbers? I'm looking into springers myself but am new-ish to the hobby, so I'm debating between the 788, a colored SF25-TC, or a K25. I have a Nexus Pro with an AKBM spring and this thing is just impossible to prime. I might just be a weakling but my elbow is killing me after only a few minutes of use with it...
@@JosephStardust if you're having trouble with the Nexus Pro, then 120+ fps might not be for you. If you need a springer, check out the Dart Zone Villainator, much friendlier to prime with similar ergonomics. But if you want to remain competitive, the Spectrum is second to none as a stock class blaster. Its cheap, ergonomics are great, and its performance outranks anything Nerf has.
I have a Lynx and absolutely love it, so glad you love yours too! You can get a replacement stock piece that is larger; and if you remove the back takedown pin and pull the magwell out a little bit, you can take off the extended magazine release so you don't accidentally bump it. Thanks for the review Frank! 🧡💙 P.S. A little bird tells me you have received your proton pack, I can't wait to see it in action!
Bruh I just realized, I haven't missed any of your vids in the past 3 years. If I were to review anything in the future I'd do it just like you, so professional, no bs, funny and tacticool :)
Hey, I suggested this video a few months ago, and even suggested using Silverfox Industries as the manufacturer. Super glad to see this! I'm glad you like the blaster, it really shows what the hobby is capable of these days.
“When I take off my glasses I can not tell that it is 3D printed” I expected Coop to say “But to be fair I can’t see much in general without my glasses”
Finally! I have been waiting for Coop's review of the Lynx. It's funny to hear him complain/not complain about an excellent blaster. Coop, what spring did you have in your Lynx?
I watch your channel since I was 10 years old and now I'm back to look at your content and I'm glad you're a real fan for nerf and a true fan I remember you well you were part of my childhood thanks greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
Since Silverfox’s print quality is so good, I might just skip printing the printable parts on my 3D printer and buy the whole kit from them. I really want that smooooooothness
Love you, Coop. I've been watching your channel since probably ~2012 I almost wanna say. You were one of the first channels I subscribed to on my little kid tablet and you and your channel have a special place in my heart. I know you don't know me, but nonetheless I thank you for always being a friend!
Thanks COOP! That was a great informative video. We love your videos because of the amount of time you take with each component you review. Really putting them through the paces so that in the end you know very well, 1st hand, what we, the perspective buyer, would be purchasing, and can advise us as to such. Great work gentlemen. Can't wait for your next review. I'm looking now to see if I've missed anything from y'all.
Btw anyone who wants one should know that the catch is 3d printed also and under heavy use with high spring loads wears out pretty fast. There's a metal one being developed but an easy fix is to print multiple or have someone print you a few as replacements. There's also a trigger on Thingiverse that is designed with I think 5 degrees more give to engage the catch easier that fixes that catching issue Coop mentions.
the lynx works so efficient - you dont need a strong spring. normally i put a 9 kg longshot spring in mine. once i built a lynx with a 22 kg spring (from worker) and it was an absolute overkill. it destroyed 50% of the darts at the first shot! the blaster is the best desing desing in the hobby. it has solid ergonomics, has a compact size, a big plunger and the best point in my opinion is that the screws, nuts and bolts don`t come loose over time in useage. the whole blaster is hold together by metal bars and takedown pins. and that is what the lynx makes my personal number one!
The Lynx is my favorite springer primary by far. With an upgraded barrel from silver fox industries... cut down slightly, and a Slurpee scar, it is my only blaster that I use a red dot sight on and feel completely justified to do so. The only real problem is the SENC has a 150fps cap and while I got it down that low with the stock barrel cut down and a very soft spring, I just can't get it to work consistently ......fps is all over the place and the accuracy actually got worse. 200-220 seems to be the sweet spot for this blaster and I have yet to be able to use it in a game.....ugh..
Ngl, this kinda looks like the KSG, which is a bullpup shotgun (it is a real firearm). The biggest difference between the two is the loading system, this uses a magazine while the KSG uses a magazine tube like a typical shotgun. Great review, I wish I could get my heads on one of these.
if i were to ever get this or the caliburn, id probably try and put the system into a different chassis just to fit my own love of a more realistic looking frame
I actually really love the small form factor as I'm a pretty small build guy. However, didn't pull the trigger as the mag is too far back for my personal liking . Otherwise , this is like the mecca in Singapore right now thanks to piggy
