"Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a thoroughly frustrating game to play. There are things to enjoy here, with combat that’s snappy enough to carry it through a genuinely good DC comics story artfully dressed in high production values. But everything else just falls down around it. Engaging mission design is nearly non-existent, the looter-shooter mechanics are tired and dull, and the grotesquely-repetitive postgame leaves little-to-nothing to do of interest. The result is a bit of a mess that doesn't ever impress with any of its numerous ill-conceived ideas."

All Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad has done is show us how amazing of a game Arkham Knight really is.
Arkham Knight was as ahead of its time as Red Dead 2 was.

Not really. Arkham Knight was decent but it wasn’t the gem people remember, especially when it came to the side quests. It was pretty far from Arkham City and Asylum.

@@neurololzthis. Everyone seems to forget the massive backlash rocksteady faced when Arkham Knight launched. The red flags were planted in 2015. Everyone wants to put on rose tinted glasses and pretend the original Arkham trilogy was flawless. the reality is that rocksteady faced many criticisms with Arkhm Knights launch. Everyone was disappointed how much Batmobile gameplay there was, everyone was disappointed how bad the boss fights were after coming off City and Origins, everyone hated the predictable twist, and the game launched with a $60 season pass that everyone heavily criticized, saying it was the same price as the base game. Rocksteady promised everyone it would be worth the price. And how did this turn? We got a 10 minute red hood dlc, a 10 minute Harley Quinn dlc, a 90 minute batgirl campaign and a 20 minute mister freeze side mission.
What's the concept of looters shooter? What does that mean?

it kinda was. Because the 2 founders of rocksteady left the studio during the production of suicide squad.
Rocksteady dying for this will be the saddest death of a game developer yet.

I'm not gonna argue fictional power levels but having batman overcome a physical/ biological affliction in the previous narrative only to then succumb to the exact same thing and not overcome it seems at odds to the overall narrative.
The Joker taking over at the end of Knight was foreshadowed as an unstoppable calamity yet this game tells us he could have been stopped by some goons. The Suicide squad used fear toxin to defeat him yet that same thing didn't help Scarecrow? The narratives run completely counter to each other.
It's not the real Batman you discover in the story that the DNA of each hero has been changed.
WB’s is out of control with their greed right now.
No more or less than any other company. Having said that, gameplay issues is all Rocksteady. That's not WBs fault.

WB has no reason to command a studio that had a flawless record, a trilogy that set a standard, and created a huge demand for more batman. If rocksteady wanted to make another Batman game? WB would’ve, but the original directors for rocksteady ended it, and pitched this game, then they dipped because they most definitely don’t want to make more DC games.
They need to get rid of their President.
Let this be a warning to ALL devs and publishers. If you have an IP that's beloved by fans, milking it with using games of service style, looter shooter setups is a BAD idea. If it feels like a stretch for the IP, it probably is.
Avengers, Suicide Squad, Gotham Knights all games that should have been incredible. All disappointments.

It's so pathetic that a game that takes place in Metropolis still has to shove more Batman references down our throat more than Superman references. You won't see Spider-man characters shoved into the Wolverine game

How many times does the rumor about them attempting a Superman game have to be debunked for you guys to finally realize it was never going to happen? It has already been proven by Rocksteady that that game was never pitched by them at any point. Suicide Squad looks atrocious though and it definitely feels like corporate greed is the reason for it's existence.

In all honesty this game should have taken Rocksteady 2 years to make and cost $15-30. For what it is, they really missed screwed the pooch both from development time, and subsequent price tag. The fact that they prob made multiple different games over a 7 year period to end up with a minimal product is jaw dropping. Can we please remove Harley Quinn from the Batman universe going forward, she has zero redeeming qualities. Jar Jar Binks with pigtails.

You guys gave marvels avengers a 6. But this got a 5? Avengers was definitely a much worst game then this was, only reason it got a lower score then what it should gotten which is a 6 was because yall didn't get the early code.
Different people reviewed both games. One person's 6 can be another person's 5 or lower. It's a dumb argument to try and justify it by blaming the no review codes.

Rocksteady sold their soul and chose quantity over quality. These companies that inject looter/gear mechanics into games that shouldn't have them don't understand, it doesn't matter if you intend to keep putting out content if all the content is half baked with zero creativity, no one will want to play it months down the line
For context, 7/10 is IGN's polite way of saying one star. Anything below that is a zero or negative score and means they absolutely hate it.

I’ll say one thing in defence of Avengers. Regardless of how boring the combat was, at least they gave a sense of identity and originality for each character in both combat and traversal rather than just giving them guns and telling them to go mad.
