I neither know nor care what Koenig's firearm proficiency is. But I am not arrogant/foolish enough to make blanket assumptions about people based on how they act in a scene. For all you know - he was told to handle the prop exactly as he did. Night, gun bunny. ☮
Sadly they never got around to showing us the Telepath War, because despite just being a "mundane" I'd fully support freedom for telepaths, along with some rules of course (no unauthorized scans - escpecially deep scans!). Hell, I'd want them to be able to join both the military and spy-services (Human telepaths are seen as especially strong, even when compared to say Minbari and Centauri telepaths, despite the later having been around way longer!)...hell, they could have made up the difference in tech during the Earth-Minbari War (there's a fanfiction that proposes that, that telepaths can be used to not only break Minbari-Stealth-Tech but also confuse bridge officers and fleet commanders!)!
While the idea is cool (especially about integrating telepaths within society─everyone is equal), the Minbari had telepaths as well and would have put them on their own ships as soon as they realized what the Humans were doing.
Sadly she couldn't keep him out, he implanted a second personality who eventually took her over. It took Lyta coming back from the Vorlon homeworld to warn them about her and take her out. Eventually though, telepaths were able to gain their freedom from the core with the help of vorlons and the rangers.
She was able to keep him out. However, the "Control" personality was implanted before she was first assigned to B5, so in a time when she was still "just an ordinary" P5 telepath and not the enhanced version of herself she became after the Ironheart incident.
Jason Ironheart SHOULD have known what she was.. if he was as powerful as he was portrayed then he should have seen right past her implanted personality and dealt with her.. but alas... that wouldn't have made for suspenseful TV now right..
@@lovipoekimo176 An interesting idea and it would have made for a better story than what I found while looking up Talia Winters timeline of events. Based on what I found while on Mars before her posting to B5 she was "programed" with the Control persona. I'm not sure what happened with JMS not catching this character plot point when she was interacting with Jason. That would have made for an interesting twist had we seen sneak peeks of Control coming out while Talia was unaware. Then have Jason utterly destroy Control thereby giving her something more valuable than telekinesis... peace of mind.
There's some pretty strong evidence that Ivannova was supposed to be Control. For scheduling or contract or something reasons they switched it up and had it be Talia instead. There are a lot of holes with Talia as control that make basically 100% sense if it was Ivannova instead.
Well, Jason Ironheart was busy trying to stay on top of issues of his own -- it isn't being totally out to lunch to think he might have missed something hidden like this.
They thought she was the future, but no, there is another.
Yep, it starts with an L and ends with yta.
@@JK-Visions smooth
Besfer eventually dhes in prison while being drugged up after PsiCorp lost the Shadow and Telepath Wars. 😂
The way Bester holds his PPG, you can tell Walter Koenig is absolutely unskilled in handling firearms 😂
Phasers handle differently. "Spectre of the Gun" proves that Chekov wasn't familiar with slug-throwers.
Bester's left fist is crippled; a telepath put it in an unending fist for decades. I'm sure his shooting style is made to compensate for that.
But this isn't firearms. This is energy weapon with different physical principles. For example this weapon has no recoil.

It's called a prop, not a firearm.
Bester was always a devious scoundrel.
Given Talia's second personality I wonder if the illusion was projected to Sheridan and Franklin rather than Bester.
It’s a thought, but, the rogue telepaths helped out in the Shadow War.

Really? That's a cool idea.
Telepaths are the leaders and commanders while mundanes are cannon fodder

I think I *finally* got a a Babylon 5 reference in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri (the Dream Twister cinematic)
That's a long time ago I played that one. I can't remember the reference but thanks for the info!

I think that second personality was implanted before she was assigned to Babylon 5.
A darker interpretation is that what Bester saw is the reality. What Sheridan and Franklin saw is a lie to gain their trust.
This was an insane story and they all conspired to murder her.
She was able to keep him out. However, the "Control" personality was implanted before she was first assigned to B5, so in a time when she was still "just an ordinary" P5 telepath and not the enhanced version of herself she became after the Ironheart incident.
But Jason's gift didn't see through or override her imprinted personality.
He was blind;)
@@JK-Visions This was supposed to be fixed, but gthe actress was unable to come back
Wasn't Jason's gift Talia gaining telekinesis?

And then they wipe her out. I was disappointed
Yeah that was quit sad.
Real life intruded on the fantasy... It happens
Yeah, divorce does that.
Wel Life is disappointing sometimes. Those twists make the show better actually

Yes I guess that was a writing error.
Or maybe the implanted personality was put AFTER the encounter with Ironheart
