I Would like to see The Dilgar war as it's own series. Or any number of side stories as there own show. Since Crusade was never finished perhaps doing that over or if it has a book series instead I would like that.

But they never really explained enough to justify how she got marginalized. However, her story-arc got really dramatic in the 5th season. So at least there was that.
Lyta, she went from Psi Corp commercial telepath to rouge to Koshs assistant to being abused by Kosh #2 back to rouge then special Psi Corp to one of the leaders of the telepath resistance then discovering that she is the most powerful telepath that has ever been, now that is a hell of story arc, and she's not really a main character.
I really liked Talia Winters. I was sad the actress left the show. However, Lyta was phenomenal for the rest of the series. The actress that played her was great. To bad the character was shafted at the end of the series. She deserved better.

Remember- Lyta- you have a lot of small weapons, some medium weapons, and 1 or 2 large weapons. Weapons that you use when you’re all out of small ones and medium ones, and you have nothing left to lose. Girabaldi- someone like that would be the telepathic equivalent of a thermo nuclear device, a doomsday weapon. Lyta- (eyes glowing) Pleased to meet you Mr. Girabaldi.

Remember Garibaldi WAS used as a weapon after he was taken by the shadows during the their attack on B5. He was programmed to betray (PSI Corp? or Shadows) Sheridan. Lyta removed the programming perhaps due to her 'augmenting' by the Vorlons.

Garibaldi just can’t help himself with various shenanigans. Love him. From what I understand, the earlier incident when Kosh hired her and met with the Cyborg with the funny hat and drink was supposed to be a way of fixing This incident, but she wanted to leave anyway so it was for nothing.
Yeah, Kosh was taking a brain/personality scan of Talia which would have helped restore her personality after this, but there was no point with the actress leaving. You can see how Talia was originally supposed to go down the path Lyta took with the plot about her old mentor who "ascended" and such. Straczynski wrote B5 in a really clever way and always left himself outs if actors or actresses were to leave or characters couldn't put into positions required for plot advancement, so every plotline had a backup to get to the same general outcome.
yeah but she really had the baddest job filling in for Ivanova. I liked here from time to time and perhaps when rewatching it after so many years i might judge her milder.

Also there taking Jack the ripper to the Vorlon world (Comes the inquisitor episode) and him torturing Delenn to make sure she is strong enough for what is to come.
The final scene there between Lyta and Kosh made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I first saw it. It finally got through to me how much love and reverence she held for the Vorlon.

Improvisations were extremely limited on the set because of the JMS vision for the 5 season arc. Actors had to clear their plans with him. It may have been Doyle's idea, but it did have to go through JMS. At least, that is what I read.
I find it interesting how many forgot that the end of the Shadow war the younger races had to fight the Vorlon since they had decided to purge anything touched by the Shadows. They began a war of extermination a war of genocide. So the younger races then had to fight the Vorlon, Lyta was a tool of the Vorlon and after her return she was never actually in full control of herself. She always acted as a tool and weapon for the Vorlons.

Could be good but a bit complicated too for we have no real characters yet. So it has to be an entire new series and we know how crusade went unfortunately.
There is no reason to reboot this series. Just remaster it. It stands on its own as probably the best television series ever made.

When she was hired for the role of Lyta, Patricia Tallman was known more in Hollywood as a Stunt Woman.
This show had really excellent characters. The writers and casting directors knew their stuff.

Just starting season 4 of my rewatch - I’d forgotten how good the stories and characters were.
Lyta really ended up getting screwed despite all she did for them.
A bit sad yes, but kosh wasn't there to help her anymore and the rest didn't care.
