Thanks for the video. Took me 4-5 hours but I got it done. I had an extra screw beneath the airbag sign in the door panel on my 2003. Also, it was much easier to roll the regulator to the down position and then fit the glass because you can see clearly without trying to peer in from the top if it’s in the up position. I was able to loosen just one airbag housing bolt a bit and slide in a new zip tie

An absolutely fantastic video. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Took me 120 mins rather than the 90 minutes the Porsche dealer told me it took last time. I had the window down to fit it into the clamps. Fiddly but relatively easy thanks to you. I took the airbag off briefly without disconnecting it electrically.

Great video and clear instructions. I worked well with my Boxster 986 '97, no need to disconnect the battery because it does not have the air bag. But note that it will be best to chase the threads of the plate on the new regulator that attaches to the motor before install, otherwise it is very difficult to thread the bolts. It took me a bit more than an hour to complete the install. Thank you!!!

Thanks man, this helped me with my 987... basically the same, but no twist tie, and the motor is mounted on the opposite side of the door panel (under the trim)

Great video thank you.The last step before reassembly you adjusted the height with the front clamp.Does the rear clamp have the same adjustment screw?

Both clamps have an adjustment screw, and I adjusted both of them, but I only showed one on camera for demonstration purposes.

Great video, wish I watched it before I got started. My wife had snapped so I had zero window movement could just hear grinding from the motor. So I manually pulled the window up to enable myself to loosen the clamps. I have the new regulator installed but the motor doesn’t bring the window fully up and it brings the window too far down to the point where it comes off the runners. Any idea how I can sort this? I’m assuming I need to take it all out again? Thanks

Run the window up as far as it will go, then keep pressing the up button to try to get it to go the rest of the way up into roof seal. If you can get it all the way up, then let go of the up button and with one motion press and HOLD the up button for about 10 seconds. This should reprogram the motor to the new range of motion of the window. Then try to operate the window normally.

Great video, the hand thing has to go bro, very distracting from a viewing standpoint. Great information!
