    Good info. Recently upgraded my 2017 SGS from stock front springs and 944 in the rear, which blew stock away. Now I have FOX springs up front and IFP springs in the back, WOW. Bike handles night and day, yes i feel some of the tar snakes, but I can really dig into corners with more confidence. Kick ass and shiny side up!!

      After demoing so many Harleys over the years before buying mine, I accepted the fact that the stock suspension was lacking and knew I’d be upgrading ASAP.

    I’m looking for something not overly firm like I hear about legends.The fox suspension sounds like a happy medium.If my bike dove half as much I’d be happy be I still want comfort.Thanks for the video guys.

    I've got the Fox adjustable rears and the Fox front fork kit ready for install this week hopefully. I live in and around a big city and stock sucks so bad. I'm looking forward to the improvements you guys are talking about. PS: Your voices are super low. Hard to hear everything if your face is not in the scene.

      On my RGS w/RWD front and rear, I’m considering installing a 21” front wheel. I’m expecting maybe a better ride at high speed on the highway. And more difficulty handling the bike on sharp corners and twisty roads. I don’t really know. What do you think?

    • @briandickter2724
      @briandickter2724 3 года назад

      @@3_AM I think the RWD front cartridge inserts are great. But I haven’t had any experience riding other bikes with Fox, Wilburs, GP, Öhlins, Legend, etc. Since my rear RS-1 shocks are 14” length, I hope that I will still be ok with a 21” wheel up front on stock length fork tubes. The drop in front cartridges are definitely the cheapest way to get better front suspension performance. Otherwise, you need a pretty big budget to start experimenting with inverted fronts or custom made fork length/ tire/ wheel combinations.

      @@3_AM Suspension is a very overlooked subject when it comes to HD owners...always about getting more power with engine upgrades...You can only go as fast as the Bike can handle...I have a 2012 Dyna FatBob 103 that after a Fork seal job i added Progressive HD fork springs and DS HD ajustable rear Shocks...And its a night and day difference...I did it on a shoestring budget too

      Ohh nice, I just bought some fox HD and I weigh about 230 suited. I know the springs are weighted for 240 and more but I’ve read some forums saying that the HD are still very good for lower weight. What was the reason you went towards HD FOX?

    • @3_AM
      @3_AM  4 месяца назад

      I love my rear RWDS, the fronts I bought second hand on eBay and I believe they may have been some early prototypes. The bike handles like it was on rails with those, but you felt everything in the road. RWD even re-worked them for me for just the cost of one way shipping, which is great product support. I'd be curios to know if their second gen fork cartridge's are less of a spring rate. I ended up with the HD fox because during Covid I couldn't find a standard fox set anywhere in the US. After getting a deal on the HDs I'm happy with them. They're just a hair rigid for me solo riding at 180lbs but handle well. For two up riding, which I do a lot of, the bike is great. I think you'll be happy. Thanks for watching, please hit that subscribe button.

      I appreciate all the help man thanks and yah I’m having the same problem most places only have the HD versions, found 1 spot with the standards but it’s to late. Worse comes to worse I can just change the springs for the standard ones later after break in if I don’t like them

      @@ronnierivas5478I'm curious about the reply from the op on this as well. I'm debating over standard vs HD on the spring rate choice before I buy. 80% of the time I'm 1 up and was leaning towards the Standard. BUT I want to be sure it's not under sprung when my wife rides with. Combined weight is about 330. BUT I do not want a harsh ride when solo.
