Most likely one of the most comprehensive collection of punk rock riffs all in one epic song. Quite possibly of the greatest poppunk songs ever written. (in my humble opinion)
This song does not stick to one genre, and that's why it's my favorite song of theirs. Punk, Rock, Prog. Beautifully composed. And my god the drumming is incredible.
I remember watching this exact concert live on much music in 2005 when I was 10 years old. I cried when the set was over then and I'm tearing up now remembering just how much green day has always meant to me.
You know the feeling, when you’ve listed to a song for years, and you’re just say one way maybe on a bus like me atm, listening to the song full blast, and out of nowhere the feeling just hits you. The feeling on how good of a song, and just how fucking awesome a song is, and comes back all the good memories held with the song🤘🏻
I'm over 40 (by a bit) - and knew of Green Day but only started listening to them 2 years ago. Now they are up there as one of my favorites and listen to them regularly. An amazing band for all round talent, showmanship, lyrics and an all round good time. Love these guys and yes I DO have the tshirt. Greetings from Vancouver BC Canada @ 2022.
If somebody told me I'd fall in love with a Punk Rock band... These guys are timeless, always relevant, and the lyrics are brilliant... How many bands consistently put out powerful, totally awesome music...without catering to anybody except their own convictions...political and otherwise . AWESOME!! UTMOST RESPECT....
Look at the crowd evolution. From Woodstock mud throwing to hand wave and then we also have the dead crowd on iHeartRadio. Green Day performing live is the best. Hopefully I will get to watch them live one day. Love from Malaysia
Just saw them last night for the first time ❤ they've been my favorite band since I was 11 years old...I cried like a baby when it was over. The best show I've ever been to
They dont play music, they conduct a Orchestra!! They dont make music, they play a beautiful symphony!! They dont die, they are Imortals!!! Green Day forever baby!!!!
I was their that night, absolutely unreal to see these guys live. Although it was completely unplanned, I was around 15/16 and just finished football training. After being picked up by my mum we decided to walk around the concert to listen in, about 10 minutes later we were approach by a security guard saying if we paid 20 quid each he could get us in. We decided to go for it and he followed through with his word. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! And a big thanks to the security guard for getting us in and making this a night to remember...
I went on the Sunday and I’ll never forget it!!! It was incredible and even though I ended up getting sun stroke it was still amazing and by far the best concert I’ve ever been to! 🤘
God it's bringing back so many memories. Green Day defined my middle school & early high school years. I'm sorry I ever abandoned them 😭😭 I promise I'll never do it again because goddamn you guys are the fucking best.
This is straight outta bullet in a bible. My parents bought me the cd/dvd set when i was in 5th grade because Green Day was my fave band since I was a toddler 🥺
These guys are just different.. this entire album is amazing... if you cant see the talent these guys possess, i feel aorry for you. Been a fan since dookie came out when i was 14. I liked them but thought they were kind of gimmicky...never dreamed back then, they would become what they have become. One of the best to ever do it.
sometimes I watch old videos of Green day and have a fear that one day I will watch these videos in tears. I love them so much that even thought they are still here, still singing , the fear makes me scared and emotional It makes me want to show more of my love for Green day 'cause one day,I may not be able to do that anymore...

It feels weird coming back to this song after almost 20 years. Back then Green Day was the only thing I listened to, before listening to anything but Green Day. A lot of things have happened since then. I was barely a kid back then, and now I'm in my 30's. I'm at a point where I don't really know where I'm going. In many ways it's not too far from what I felt five years ago, or ten years ago, or when I was 16. When this song came out I was too young to even get lost. But now I feel myself lost more and more often. Sometimes I just want to stop thinking. I find myself going back to simpler times. Usually I listen to music that takes me back. Green Day reminds me of 6th grade and high school - it wasn't anywhere near perfect but i didn't have any weight on me back then. I could've been anything. Hearing this now for the first time again is like hitting a brick wall, but in a good way. I'm stopping for a moment. I don't know why I'm pouring my heart on a RUclips comment. But I guess I just want to say that it's songs like these that ground me to the earth and keep me anchored, you know? It helps me from spiraling out into somewhere I might not be able to come back from. It's hard to explain. I guess I'll just end it with if there's anybody who reads this, I just want to tell you to hang on. If you're feeling lost, there's always a way to get back.
I'm 62 . I've listened to every genre of music . Thousands and thousands of songs and videos but this one ! this one " a million and one fkn times" imo best rock song ever
This song is and was amazing. The sounds and how it describes a fallen society. It's like we're at war with ourselves. Eachother and our own heads. :( we need to believe! Jesus can help immensely all aspects of our lives. We have to fight for the good, humble ourselves, carry our crosses. It'll all be good.
