So glad Lexus stuck with their design language and got it right with this car. I always saw potential, this is what I was waiting for.
They may be the only people left who make luxury cars with a REAL gear shift too. Not a bunch of buttons. Yes the LFA didn't have that but Toyota knows what works.

Hint if you are trying to sell a sports car it helps if it drives like a sports car but it doesn’t. This is why no one wants it according to the numbers.

The way you described it, the precision and feel, I would choose this in a heartbeat over other cars in that price range if I ever had that money. 0-100 in 4.4, who needs lower than that? I wouldnt say its a "piece of shit", When you choose a car its a matter of prefference and the luexus is both reliable and luxurious. and the price is actually not bad compared to the AMG or the Porsche (which are both extremely expensive). but again... Prefferences.

Even as an AMG fanboy🤷🏾♂️😂, I would definitely get a Lexus LC500 or some F car from Lexus because of the reliability, the unique styling, the N/A 5.0 Liter V8, they are comfortable, and maintenance isn’t ridiculously expensive, I could honesty care less if the german competitors have faster more track focused cars🤷🏾♂️

This car is a spaceship right now, just like how the original SC was. It is quite possibly one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen put into production. The high revving NA V8 that Lexus stuffs in this thing is the icing on the cake. I live in the US where this car is about $100,000 and I think it’s a bargain. The interior is beautiful with material quality that punches *way* above its price point. Lexus set out to build a car and built a masterpiece. This car and the LFA makes me forgive Lexus for laying the RX-L egg on us.

That may not be the case in the future. The new ls no longer has a v8 but a twin turbocharged v6 now. When it comes to the more performance focused Lexus vehicles hopefully they will keep using naturally aspirated engines
Nick300zxred2t Yes, sooner or later even Lexus will have to obey the EU regulations. I am all about ecology but it is little to extreme, to the point VW lied about their emissions numbers. Performance is great but the sound of a V8 is what i love!
The future is Battery engines. And Toyota has been experimenting with battery technology for years now. Buy the time battery engines become the norm, Toyota will be the only Car manufacturer that can make the most reliable and efficient batteries because by then... they will have amassed years and years of experience in making battery engines. I think Tesla will also be one of the top batter engine makers.
All these other ones clinging to diesels and even cheating in emissions, they are going to struggle to adept.

Finally a real honest review and not on German paid advertisement. Lexus is something different and you don't need to compare it with BMW or Mercedes or Audi (All of them amazing) because it is other league. Lexus has different approach and design and everything. Build quality and everything is from other planet. Amazing car and amazing review.

I love this car. I’ve seen a few in person and I really think I haven’t send anything that looks this good. I see Ferrari’s and lambic and Aston’s and I just love this one the most. It’s quick enough, sounds great, and it’s reliable as fuck because it’s a Lexus and I’m okay with it not being the fastest, it’s a pure GT car.
These cars looks way better in person than in photos. I’ve see one or two on the road and got to sit in one at an autoshow and damn they are pretty

I’m a new owner of the LC500 Sport + as it’s known in the UK in sonic red, at the time of writing there’s only 422 in the country so it’s a real head turner.
I’ve had a month now and absolutely love driving it.

Buddy of mine got this car for his retirement present to hisself. White with caramel interior. I love the interior. The engine noise it makes is absolutely to die for. Smooth and fast. Just an amazing car all around. I don't think you can get the experience of driving and riding in it through a video. It's like what a Pabst Blue Ribbon is to a Hoosier. Perfect. Only detractors i could note is the fact that because it is Japanese the controls are too fragmented....like they were attached to the dash by rolling them out of a yahtzee cup.
:-) I love this engine and LC got a super induction and exhaust note - all natural no artificial feed of any kind (just mechanical noises from special induction tubes helping to feel it inside the cabin.). Also the new 10 speed is much better than 8 speed in my GS F (which is not bad at all). Thanks for the review, guys.
I have an ISF and this is the only car I think could replace it....or accompany it 8-)

I've been driving a 2019 Lexus RC300h F for a few weeks now, I'll admit it's not in the same performance/price group as the LC500 it's nonetheless a really great drive. The interior is beautiful, ergonomically fantastic and comfortable. Miles disappear quietly in the mirror, it's 2.5 turbo hybrid system is a pleasure to drive preferably in S+ mode. The RC is a great looking car (especially in Titanium Silver), not as good as the LC500 but probably more practical. Lexus seem to have upped their game with the last generation of cars both inside and out.

The buttons thing, it is so Japanese. I remember going into a hotel elevator in Osaka once and had an sensory overload from the tactility of those elevator buttons. The sound, the click, the feel of the metal, it is just insanely well made.
It'll drive like a dream for years and years problem free thanks to Lexus quality/reliability, which can't be said for German cars. This one is made in Japan in the the same factory that made the LFA.
Your reaction when reving under the tunnel and hearing that bang sound from the change of gears says everything about this car!

with RCF, what is the difference? I like them both. I believe one thing is you have to get alcantara, no leather option. The RCF also comes in bolder colors.

For what I know, there were a few like a full hand of them still for sale. Till this very day? I can't tell for sure.
you've got it backwards, the car was something like 900k to produce baseline- that's without profit and they sold it at a ridiculous loss because they wanted PR and the notoriety of being able to produce a car that good AND get it out to the public for sub-hypercar levels of cash. They ended it because it absolutely decimated profits and wasn't even remotely possible for them to ever turn a profit on without cutting corners EVERYWHERE, which they refused to do.

the design is awesome , not boring than other car , if someone see it in details, it likes a diamond cut as a muscular man but only as a gentlemen , feel not so violent but powerful and more refinement than others.
I might hurt some peoples feelings, but I think this is the true successor to the LFA.
Its not on that level but its probably sharing lots of its successes

This car does have the fake muscle car sounds coming through the speakers its raw power old school engineering and its dependable very very reliable car. Lexus nailed it, when they build this car they really did...it beautiful truly is a masterpiece of old technology at its very best!
The LC 500 does not have any "fake" induction noise generated by the sound system. It uses a tuned sound tube to pass induction sound from the air box to the cabin through a port in the firewall

I have owned a IS 3ooh. It looks more plasticly inside than most germans but when you start touching around u realize how rock solid everything is and that the build quality shits on most germans in the same category. Also the LFA, top 3 for me sound wise...
That patch of land at the beginning is making jealous that its able to experience all the incredible cars that Max review. That's one lucky patch of soil!
If the Germans would make Mercedes as reliable as Toyota or even 80 percent as good, I would buy another. They would dominate the planet. I would pay the extra.

BS. No they are not. I quit buying them after 30 years because they became unreliable POS Money pits. Starting at around 1995 or so.. When they went from Analog to Digital.. Total maintenance nightmares. NIGHTMARES !! Pages and Pages of Fault codes. Do not get me started !! We drive slower here and as a result they break faster ? lol... Too funny.. The only cars worse are VW. Not by much sorry to say. That is how bad Mercedes has become !! Terrible !! You can call Mercedes Benze of Littleton and Star Tech Denver and tell them you are interested in buy one of Grady Howell;s Mercedes. Lets pick one... Humm.. 420sel.. No wait..
