The Lexus LC 500 is a car that has intrigued me since its launch having personally been such a big fan of the LFA, and this coming from the very same factory. With a 5.0l V8 in a luxury 2+2 coupe, it's also quite a break away from the main brands competing in this segment so join me at Jemca Lexus in Reading to take a full look around the car and a test drive to see what it's made of!

I'm not a huge fan of Japanese cars, but we have nearly 2018 and it comes with a naturally aspirated 5 liter V8 !! While other companies make their cars sounding like vacuum cleaners it would be only worth to buy it just because of that reason. Besides that I like the very unique and sharp coupe design.
When companies build niche market vehicles like this one, they should be able to do whatever the hell they want when they build it. I just hope governments realize this and don't go so hard on companies with epa regulations in the future.

amazing review from an expert. please can you review the 2024 LC 500 and which one will you choose the convertible or coupe and why. I'm trying to choose.
At 13:13 it has a bit of a V10 note to it! Not like the LFA - more like a Viper or S85, but still very cool for a brand that is often overlooked by people in the market for these kinds of cars. I don't know what kind of magic is going on in the exhaust, but this is how you do it Germans!
Love this car! Great review Tim! I just wonder if the car allows you to shift up when you want; so up to redline, or if it intervenes and upshifts for you.
GREEETINGS and a merry new year from Colorado, Carmrades!! I can hear Audi and Porsche laughing-then crying at how many will buy this because it's a Lexus. I can even hear Nissan, Mazda and, especially Hyundai getting a chuckle and getting quite a few customers on the comparo-who DON'T want a Mercedes. Who wouldn't give Lexus the time of day as they can't see this car in the rear view mirror. Even. xox
Hey! That's our National Responsibility of which you speak...Even John Denver knew that...But tell me you'd kick any Black Series outta bed for one of these genteel, gentrified whiffenpoofs?
Black series? completely different segment and price. The LC500 is more comparable to the S Class coupe, which the S class is more expensive and has less power.
My oh my! Great video! I have been looking forward to this for a while! If you can, try reviewing the new 2018 Lexus LS 500 (the one with the twin turbo V6, it has gotten a lot of positive reviews). Would you consider owning this LC 500? 😍
I think it looks amazing. So much better in real life than in pics or videos too. Much longer and wider than you think. I don't see a much better all around car. It would be the perfect one car garage assuming you don't need 4 actual seats.
13:11 I noticed how you changed the camera angles so not to show the Lexus acceleration in relation to its surroundings, well I presume. I have driven next to these cars an in my obsetvation they sound loud and impressive but yet look soooo slow.

Hey Shmee, this is the actual "GT" version. Lexus will make a sort of "GT-R" version of this which is called the LC F Sport likely. That will likely have more "drama", tighter suspension, maybe a little more horse power and will likely focus on dropping some weight to make it more of a track like car This car is a BARGAIN compared to the competition. 100k? That is a joke for what you get. That interior is incredible, specially the brown/ tan one. This cost more than half the price of the Aston Martin DB11, much less than a s550 coupe etc I think this car is perfectly positioned to pull in a bunch of buyers from every other competitors bucket. The LC F will likely cost close to 130-140k and that is the car you probably want and can easily afford. Anyways great video and as you would say cheers :)
Everyone is getting it wrong. LC stands for LEXUS CHALLENGE. So said the head of Lexus Mr Toyoda. He challenged the designers and team to build it as close to the concept as possible while creating something completely new and competitive. I looked for one on car gurus but there was only one for sale in the whole country at that time. So a very rare and unique vehicle for the British roads.
