Many actors get type-casted. It is not a bad thing, they get famous for portraying a type of character and will make it easier to find work. The current trend of expecting every actor/actress to be able to act any role actually have audience putting up with less convincing acts by famous actor/actress instead of casting someone who can be really good in a role.
@@cancanjaker1620 type-casting is a necessary evil and it's true that many complain when they really shouldn't, at least not publicly. i don't want to hear well paid average actors complaining about it when they are the perfect physical type for a certain stock/archetypal role. but it is definitely a bad thing when they're an actual good actor with a diverse range, which applies to jason.
I've been watching 'Seinfeld' recently, and had only just remembered that Jason Alexander was in this film. It's amazing how he can make himself so different - I always thought George Costanza was really cute; but Mauricio is utterly repulsive, both physically and as a character. Great acting from JA, and with help from that revolting powder toupee thing, of course. Poor Mauricio having to deal with humiliation due to having a tail, though.
I like theu added this scene in because you understand his character more and how he projected his own insrcurities onto others like when he over reacted at Lindys toe and was unnecessarily rude about Walt because of his disability
