hey, do you all ever get out to san diego cali?? sigh... I need a little bit of help makin sure I don't screw up my 1972 351c4v RANCHERO while I am gettin it to be ''back on the road'' ;)
@TheRustFarm no that happened in Iowa and we weren’t filming. Kevin wanted to race the C1Ohh against the F100 and when we took off the 3 wheeler went flying out the back lol
Not much on Datsuns but I will definitely hang around to see how this truck turns out. I own 2 74 f100s. 1 4wd 390 4 speed and 1 2wd 390 automatic, it’s my daily driver.
Nice F100. Old school cool. These little short beds become super nice too if you swap in a Coyote, 10 speed, crown Vic front suspension and a nice brake upgrade....🙂 Possibilities are endless.
I’m just digging into this video now. I’m excited to check out your channels back catalog. If Kevin says you’re good, you must be good lol. Keep up the kick ass work!!!!
Make sure you keep the fuel line as far away from the intake manifold as possible, the FE motors like to vapor lock on a hot day, because FE's ran coolant through the intake. FE's like to run on ported vac for the advance, and FE's like to be advanced right up to just before they ping. Nice video, very clean old truck, I miss my 67, 71, 75, 79, old Ford pickups. Oh, and they will boil the carburetor on a hot day also.
That is a really nice truck! These trucks look sooooo much better than the square body Chevy people are so crazy about now. I don't think I've ever seen anything comparable to the square body craze.
Gee it was getting real pretty there in the Ford part of the car garden back at JDs. Got that pretty red working brake light on the left side there, just enough to go do some Fordin with. That hot hot and a little bit smashed Cougar... even the weed popped up to salute the aforementioned red white and blue F100 as it backed out. A fine moment in the Ford garden.
Hello All'. Just tuning in to your Post. From JYD! I'm here. For All' that respect for all vehicles. Ford, Chevy and Dodge. And. IF your odd/Post is interesting enough. I'll watch. Y'all build, I'll watch. Like "Ian Rousell. , JYD sleeper dude and etc. ! You All' are great 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍...
Red beard the rust pirate JYD said to come check this out. That’s a pretty solid looking truck, especially from Oklahoma/Iowa. Good luck with it - safe journeys from - Arizona. Once you hand grenade that sleepy 360 you should GM V8 &trans swap it so she’s reliable and ready to rock.. 😉
The drag race between mooks truck and the f100 was awesome, wish i lived where roads were nice n flat and empty during the daytime to mock race with my brother lol awesome vid guys
Brother that is one nice old Ford pickemup! I got here by way of JYD and am now a new subscriber. Personally I wouldn't put a turbo on it. To me there's something to the charm of the old original equipment. But you do you and I will watch you do you too! Sorry I'm just not a turbo fan since owning my 2013 F-150 3.5L Ecoboost with twin turbos. Probably another reason I'm diggin' your "69. Peace!
West Allis Wisconsin and I've been a Junkyard Digs fan for over a year. So, now you've got a new subscriber. Look forward to your videos here in the great state of Wisconsin!!!
Ok I think this is awesome... But I found Vice Grip Garage by watching a random RUclips channel that linked me to Junkyard digs and now made it here. I truly love the community that you all represent!!!
Yeah some bearded guy on another channel showed you buying this truck & said you were going to turbo it, I'm up for that, you're also a good looking big strapping fella, that's a plus, Rj in Oz
Amazing foundation to build from. 13mpg is great, I get 14 in my 92 f150 with a 5.0 😆. Threw you a sub, going back to watch your videos. Can’t wait to see the truck turbocharged!
Very cool to see a very local channel and a guy doing what he enjoys doing! I tell people I'm from the Appleton area too, less confused looks and OHHH so you're from Connecticut?
Of course it will! It's a " real" ford truck , when they actually made them to last! FE engines can be finicky, but once you dial them in there's nothing like one. Power and torque are off the charts once set up right and extremely reliable ( ask me how I know) the most important mod on this engine is oiling mods, restrictors to the valvetrain prioritizing the mains and rods, also piston squirter would be a great idea as well. Block prep is crucial.
Best I’ve seen to take off that red clay/dirt is mineral spirits, a brush, and a few good dollops of elbow grease. Whatever you end up with, works just fine. 👍
I will be honest I had low hopes because you were buying it from another channel. You delivered, this was awesome I loved seeing the old truck get some tlc.
Good on Kevin for doing up the shop! That tool shelf Is pretty cool. I wonder where the Nova is with things moved around at the moment also from his channel. I like that datsun
@@BuildSeason it’s fun watching revival videos and seeing old vehicles come back to life wether they want to or not. Im excited to see what’s in store for that old truck aside from getting a turbo
Yellow smoke from a car's exhaust can indicate an issue with the oil additive. It can also be caused by NOx emissions. When the exhaust gas cools before being released into the atmosphere, the condensed NO2 component can appear brown.
The truck isn't abandoned. It's been refurbed and sitting around Kevin's and Mooks for years, being used as a shop truck, taking fuel to breakdowns etc.
Subbed, Kevin sent me lol.... 1600 wagon I see aswell got them here down upside down land aswell don't see them over there well on YouTub, lol only really seen finnigans 510 he gave away.... Cool to see😁 🤙🤙🤙🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
@TheMerc1950 I may go the cheap route and get a gt45 from Amazon lol. Otherwise there is a VSracing 78/75 for sale near me. That’s the same turbo on my 1965 Oldsmobile F85
Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ Come on Kevin, I'm familiar with 78 to 89 Ford trucks, I worked for a company that's all they had. Brand new from the showroom each one had aluminum keys 🔐 the more you know 😂 I'm not a fan of Ford considering the twin I-beam suspension, you got to keep your eyes on the road continuously or you may be off it 😂 anyway that really is an awesome looking truck, I'm glad it's going to a good home and going to get some love. You seem like an interesting dude with some skills, Kevin thinks I should subscribe I suppose I'll give it a shot dude 👍 I'm looking forward to seeing a turbo on that old girl 🤘✌️🇺🇲
So excited to see what that 360 will do with a turbo on it!! This channel is one to keep an eye on folks 😎
It may not be better , but it’ll be different!
It the Kevin
If it works well, I'm doing this to the 390 in my new 63.5 Galaxie!
hey, do you all ever get out to san diego cali?? sigh... I need a little bit of help makin sure I don't screw up my 1972 351c4v RANCHERO while I am gettin it to be ''back on the road'' ;)
I'm here because that one bearded guy said so.

The tailgate opening on the burnout attempt was hilarious! Great video!
You should have seen when the 3 wheeler came out the back of the truck lol
@@BuildSeason I take it you didn’t get that on video? lol
@TheRustFarm no that happened in Iowa and we weren’t filming. Kevin wanted to race the C1Ohh against the F100 and when we took off the 3 wheeler went flying out the back lol
@@BuildSeason hahaha hilarious! The C1ohh is surprisingly quick we stopped on some dead highway in Iowa and raced, it beat my red Cummins
@TheRustFarm I would have had him….if the 3 wheeler didn’t fall out….lol no he would have whooped me.
I came here because i seen Kevin post about this😂. It is nice to see this truck get a new life
